Stopped in for lunch today and had their $8.99 pizza lunch special. It's good for one 12" pizza with 1 topping or a lunch spaghetti. I went with a cheese pizza with extra cheese and two garlic knots with cheese dipping sauce. In no time my food was out and piping hot. The garlic knots are always a given to be super delicious and did not disappoint once again. The cheese pizza was a lot larger than I expected and was very flavorful and cheesy. The place was not very busy but I did come in right at opening. The interior is small and cozy and the comfort food they serve is always delicious. If you haven't tried them yet come over to North Salem and give them a try. They have great salads as well.

This is an outstanding local pizza restaurant. The pizza has amazing flavor starting with exceptional dough and sauce. The wait staff does an excellent attentive job and the ambiance is small Italian eatery. Easily top 5 pizzas I have ever had and that says a lot about!!

On Friday I happened to be driving through rural Indiana on the economic blackout day with a HANGRY, weepy 8 year old and nothing but Casey's gas stations and Dollar Generals to be found. No big corporations for us that day! We soldiered on. We got to the teeny town of North Salem and ended up finding a beautiful oasis. Perillo's Pizzaria. Like a mirage out of the soybean fields (if the mirage looked like a tiny, possibly abandoned building). I made by son try the door to be sure it was open. Inside, the place was adorable, a historic building with a previous life as the town doctor's office. Ambiance was great and the Pizza looked amazing but we got the garlic knots and dessert. The limoncello cake was fabulous! But the garlic knots - OH MY GOD THE KNOTS. Best I've ever eaten. Hands down. Ooey gooey, chewy heaven. Do not miss this gem of a place. Seriously! Go out of your way for this.

2 years later and this place still holds up as one of my favorite pizzerias! Crispy, crunch crust and delicious toppings for the New York Style. Service is always great. The inside seating area is limited, but carry out and patio dining are always a good option!

WOW! This place was AMAZING!! What an unexpected surprise when we stumbled in for lunch while passing through the small town of North Salem, located just a short 40 minute drive north west of Indianapolis. The building is small but very cozy and welcoming. The food is absolutely fresh and made to order so you may have to wait 20-30 minutes but it's well worth it! Perillo's makes all their sauces in house and you can definitely taste the difference. They sell pizza by the slice or a whole pie. The pasta can be ordered as a 1/2 portion which is what we opted for, and still took leftovers home!! We will be making Perillo's a regular stop on our walk rotation!! CASH ONLY!!!

Cheese pull is what it is all about with these pies. This thing was HOT and it stayed hot, just like it should have.

Go out some spring or fall evening and enjoy the countryside on the way to North Salem. They have outdoor dining and about 6 - 8 tables inside. Your food is made to order, so don't expect it to be fast. We ordered the garlic rolls which were quite good, but plan on getting in an extra mile for your workout because these things are carb loading monsters. It doesn't stop with the cheese sauce. They have a comprehensive Italian menu, but the pizza was really pretty good. We ordered the meat pie with a pizza crust on the top and bottom. It was kinda like a HUGE calzone. It was very good and the crust was thin and crisp. One slice will get your belly full, so be prepared to take a bunch home or bring a large group and share. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience. We will be back.

This is the best Italian food in the Midwest. I said it. They have the best pasta and pizza. And their salads are my favorite but we come for the pizza. They also grow a lot of their veggies in their garden out back or at the owner's garden. Every time I'm there I meet someone who is also there to eat but they've crated this atmosphere of community and it's the best!

I have been wanting to go for years and just find reasons not to go that far west (only about 20 min)...this will likely become a place we go often. We both got a slice of pizza & a garlic rolls (with cheese and marinara - loved both). Holy cow, both were delicious and filling - $13 bucks for all that?! It's quaint and small but it packs flavor. Their outdoor area is very cute as well. Service was great and attentive. Love you can hear the work being done in the kitchen as well - it is a gem just like Yelp said!

First time we have visited in a long time. The pizza is very good as are the garlic knots. It is a very small place with about four indoor tables. There is outdoor seating but the disadvantage is the they're only functional seasonally. The small size of the restaurant leads to some longer waits. The staff is friendly and service is good. Be prepared for crowds because it is well known that the food is good. The do not take credit cards but do take cash or check. We had the New York style pizza. Very good with fresh ingredients and lots of cheese!

This is a small little joint with big personality! Just off the main strip (I believe) in North Salem,IN. The people were all very friendly. This is a small establishment with seating inside for about 15-20 people. You can pretty much see right back into the kitchen which is fun in of it self. They have 2 outside seating areas, o e o. Each side of the building. The o e to the left of the building is a typical outside seating area with metal chairs and tables with um b rellas bit has an Italian vibe going on with some old school music playing(Sinatra, The Rat Pack, Dean Martin, ect.) On the right side of the building ther are a bunch of picnic tables and a freestanding fireplace which definitely looked to be the reminisce of an old house. The pizza was very good and just how I likes it, thin and crsipy. They had a pretty wide array of Italian dishes and pizza pies. I got one slice of NY Sgle and added some topping. It came out hot and delicious! The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because they only take cash or check. I had to walk around the corner to the bank to get some cash.. so make sure to bring cash.

It was delicious, regardless. We loved the breadsticks with pepperoni in the middle as well. For a total of $27 we also got two fountain drinks. It took about 10 mins to get our order and we enjoyed playing darts while waiting. This looks like it would be a great place to grab a beer and watch the game. So let me just start off with saying, I've been curious about this place for a long time. Well my…read morewife and I finally decided on a night when we were just wiped out from work and needed something for the family and not a lot of time to try it out. Boy are we glad we did, I also will point out that we tried placing our order through Yelp! And there was a lot of confusion at first, we were worried because our order was processing, but yet it was placed through grubhub which we have never used. So out of curiosity and concern I decided to call and ask about the status of our order, the young lady on the phone was confused at first, saying she had not received it but then I heard the ding and she was very apologetic and offered to make our order as quickly as possible, but once we got it figured out she was very kind and understanding. I offered to come in and get it as we were positive at this point no one from grubhub was going to deliver our order (which is not what we asked for but not the business' fault at all!) she offered to keep it in the hot box so we wouldn't have cold soggy pizza by the time I got it back home (thank goodness cuz three kids plus cold soggy pizza equals bad times) plus extra punches on the loyalty card they have as another way of apologizing. Overall the customer service was definitely a refreshing experience that I've missed and not had in a long time! So now let's focus on food, we ordered a large cheese and bacon pizza nothing fancy but it was simple executed to perfection, the bacon was just crispy enough and definitely was not the run of the mill stuff you get from everywhere else. The crust was the best crust I've had in a long time, not too thick not too thin but when you bit into it it had that delicious crispy crunch that you just can't get from most places anymore. We also ordered the garlic butter breadsticks, which they use the extra large portion cups instead of the dinky little things you get from the big places, plus she threw in extra cheese for no extra charge! Then an order of boneless buffalo wings which again she included a couple extra pieces, and again no extra charge! So even without the extras as an apology the portions were definitely more than enough and worth every bit! It's a smaller place and not much for indoor dining but it's quant and quiet if you just wanted a place to have a lunch or dinner to hang out and not be surrounded by people or anything like that. I even ran into my in laws when I was walking in and we got to talking about how much they love it there too. All in all I'm sold and hooked, this is a great little gem for a small town and I actually feel sorry for towns or cities that usually overlook smaller businesses like this because they don't know what they're missing! This isn't your run of the mill cookie cutter corporate franchise like dominos or Pizza Hut, this is a local business ran by real hard working folks trying to do there best every day and it shows. Oh and almost forgot with all that food and to feed a family of 5 for $50 in the current times and economy I'm certainly not going to complain! My wife and kids were blown away and happy and that's something I would never put a price tag on. So thanks Lilly's Pizza Niche, you will always have our business!

Thus, I'm also trying to snag a few more reviews before my life returns to a bit more normalcy. I'd been curious about Danville's Two Guys Pies, a sister restaurant to The Beehive located in the same two-storefront strip center at the corner of Main Street and Indiana Street. Parking is a little tight here in a parking lot behind the restaurants. There are a couple accessible spots including one with a small aisle to allow for safe exit for wheelchairs. The parking spot is directly across from the building and there's a pretty good concrete ramp. I have noted there are times when longer vehicles block the somewhat narrow sidewalk just a bit. The last time I came to this building, I went to The Beehive and looked down and realized that Two Guys Pies would have been blocked had I wanted to go there. There's a couple glass doors. The dining room includes a bar area, a handful of traditional tables, and a few more booths. I really only saw a couple smaller tables (which I tend to take since I'm often dining alone), however, I was able to snag one. Two Guys Pies obviously specializes in pizza, however, they definitely have a more extensive menu. They advertise having the best salad bar in Hendricks County. There are appetizers, wings, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, calzones, rollers, bombs (I will admit I have no idea what bombs are), a kids menu, daily specials, family specials, and more. There's also lunch specials from 11am-2pm. I ordered a 7" pepperoni pizza (essentially a create-your-own option) along with two breadsticks along with unsweetened iced tea. The breadsticks came with cheese (I don't know if marinara was an option - this was delivered automatically). The pizza was definitely a thin crust. It was quite good and I would easily order it again. The menu says it comes with eight slices - just be aware it is only a 7" pizza. Those "slices"are smaller. The breadsticks were good, though I'm not sure I'd order them again at $2.99. You can order larger quantities. The service was welcoming. I enjoyed watching the atmosphere. It's clear it was a mixture of regulars and some maybe not so much so. The servers seemed relaxed with the customers. I liked that one older customer dining alone, in particular, seemed to get some definite human connection. The dining room has large windows. There are five widescreen televisions - all were showing sports, though there was some variation. I enjoyed this experience. You could also easily park at the town square and make it the one block east to Two Guys Pies. Service was great, the food was good, the prices were fair, the atmosphere was welcoming (though at least two kids acted like they'd never seen a wheelchair or an amputee before) and I'd easily return. While my time in Hendricks County is winding down, at a hard time in my life after my father's death I've enjoyed getting to know this small town a whole lot more.
