I have never left a bad review before, but I am leaving one now. I took my iPad in on Thursday…read moremorning to get the charging port replaced. They told me it would be a few days because they had to order the part. No problem. On Saturday, I receive a voice mail from them telling me that my iPad was ready. I went on Monday morning to pick it up, and they told me that they were just starting to work on it. I told them about the voice message, and they denied it even though it came from their phone number. So, I had driven 30 miles for nothing. They said it should be ready the next day (Tuesday) and they would call me. I didn't hear from them on Tuesday, so I called them on Wednesday. They said they were not quite finished and would call me that afternoon. On Thursday, I called and they said they were working on it and would be finished by 6 that evening. I told him that I was coming to Tyler on Friday morning so I would get it then. He said he would call when he was done. On Friday, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called them again. He said to give him an hour. I told him that I felt like I was getting the run around because for three days, they had told me it would be done. He said he would call me personally within the hour. I got a call a couple of hours later telling me it was ready for pickup. I drove to Tyler and they handed me my iPad. The glass was filthy and scratched. When I told him it was scratched, he snatched it out of my hand and squirted a cleaner on it. He handed it back to me. It was clean but was still scratched. I told him that it had deep scratches on the glass that were not there when I brought it in. He said that they didn't do it. I told him that the iPad had been in a case since I bought it and was in perfect condition when I brought it in. Nevertheless, I paid and told them I was not happy. I got my iPad and left. Before I could get in my car, he came running out to tell me that the case I had probably didn't protect the glass. I happened to have my case in my car. I showed him that it was a waterproof case and totally covered my iPad. He kind of looked shocked and said that the only thing they could do was put a tempered glass on it. I declined and left. In my opinion, they aren't trustworthy and are rude.

I stop by 7/8/26 and met Chelsea Coffman she made my transaction so easy and not complicated. Gave me my reward with out a problem. She very pleasant and I was able to stay calm through it all. My experience with the older blue hair woman was very stressful and the new younger girl were rude. Seem to be a big turn over of employees. I hope DSW will continue to keep Chelsea, she's very professional and does her best to satisfy DSW customers. I always get compliments on my shoes and will continue to be a referral to DSW.

The store has no curb appeal, no entry appeal either...and I am not a person that will dig through anything to save a buck. But hey..if you are, you'll love the store. I grew up in Archer City, Larry McMurtry's home town. I bought the book when it first came out and it has that error that distinguishes this as the first printing. He signed both of these books when I asked him after a talk he gave. They have a signed, first edition on their website listed for $1,000!!! They could have offered me a decent price, maybe $600 for both, and still had a $500-$600 profit. This was an insult. I remember that a long time ago I brought some quality books to sell at their Dallas store. That offer was an insult also. People must be desperate to sell their books to take the pittance HPB offers for books, then marks them to half of new price regardless of condition. I've purchased books there but I realize now that they don't respect book sellers.
