We knew it was gonna be a project our 1940 house was unlevel, parts of our house were sinking, and they did beyond amazing. When there crew ran into problems with our floor they fixed everything with confidence. They always made sure before they left they would clean up and would cover holes so my daughter or us wouldn't fall through our crawl space. I hired them to level my floor because it was different levels, once I saw how they worked and how much experience they had, we definitely had them install our vinyl floor also. This job included floors, doors, cabinets and countertops, minor electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, etc. When challenges arose, Arturo responded each time with "What can Sunset Valley do to make you delighted?" His crew was neat, arrived on time, was respectful to our tenants, and completed the tasks in the promised time. His prices were not cheap, but they were fair and the work they did was stellar. They did the entire flooring in every room in the house to include baseboards. The work they did…read morewas absolutely excellent. The work was done quickly and as about as professional as you can get. But on the last day of installing flooring they let one of their guys who normally does sweep up and sometimes helps with flooring installation touchup the baseboards. He's a hard worker and has a good job but on the baseboards he made several mistakes that I will now have to correct myself. He used a 2 inch paintbrush to do touchup on a 3 inch baseboard. You don't use even a 1 inch brush unless you really know what you're doing. He let his touchups bleed over into the white wall next to the baseboard and this was done in several areas. He kept looking at me as if I knew what it happened even though I couldn't figure out why he kept star. After everybody was gone then I saw what happened. And it made me very angry. He made mistakes and he chose to hide those mistakes rather than tell his boss what he had done so they could correct the problem right then and there. I chastise his boss really hard and told him that if they're gonna continue to do work for me that that kid does not have anything more involved in his hands than a broom and a dustpan. Apparently he didn't like that which is fine I'm not gonna be having them do more work. The other thing that happened is that in their hurry to get over to another job which was a much higher paying job they left corner pieces off of the baseboard for the closet openings. They told me that they were trying to give me the option on how I was gonna set up the doors to the closets. I told them this is not what they were hired to do and so I had to have them come back and add these other pieces to complete the work. The other thing after I went back after them and found that the baseboard that they put in the front bedroom did not have enough Nails to keep it next to the wall. The centerpiece on two wall walls opposing each each other had boat out and we're not sitting secure against the wall. This was just an oversight but if their boss had gone back behind him at every stage and done the inspection he would've seen this and it would've been fixed that day. It took a while for them to get the transfers and they had to come back and finish nailing in the baseboards and putting in the pieces that they did not put in and then they only set one guy and he did all the transfers and he did a good job. Except for the transfer in the kitchen which was fine until you come to the very end of it and the very end of it was a complete block it was not smooth off and slanted off in order to not be caught on someone's foot and causing an accident. The amount of transfers that they purchased were double the amount that was needed to do all the transfers in the house but yet they charge me for these extra ones. Now I'm gonna have to cut these transfers up and just throw them away. And that's money out of my pocket cause these transfers were not cheap. Now these guys do exceptional work but this was just pure laziness on the part of the guy that did the work. He used my broom and dustpan and then left the broom just sitting on the floor. I have never been so insulted or upset as such hasty and low quality work. I have another tile job that I'm going to need to do but I will not let these people back into my house. When they have a big job that pays them a lot of money than little jobs like mine don't get the attention to detail that they need. Everything was fine until that very last day when they were trying to finish up and made so many mistakes and allowed things to happen that should never have happened. They didn't check with me first they just did what they thought they should've done and didn't ask my advice. I always before, they always did. If you have a big job regardless of the quality of work they do you must go behind them each and every day and make sure they clean up after themselves. This last day they had left a coke bottle and at least three cans of unfinished power drink sitting on the floor. If these had fallen over they would've damage the grain of the flooring because of the acid content in the drink. So word of advice follow behind them at the end of each workday and make sure they clean up every mess that they leave and before they are finally done with the entire job go back again and inspect every inch of every room so that things like baseboards that didn't get properly nailed to the wall don't happen to you.

Ok, I'm editing my original review for these guys from 1 star to 5. I normally don't do that so I…read morepromise I will explain why so this will be a bit of a long review. We were sort of at a loss for what to do since not many places seem to do this type of work so we gave them a second chance. Not only did the owner show up on time for the quote, he was extraordinarily helpful and gave us some good tips on other surfaces and how to maintain. Extremely knowledgeable, very nice guy. They were very accommodating with scheduling and the day of they were on time and ready to roll. We initially called them to restore and reseal our stone tile that was in horrible shape from not being cleaned or maintained properly from the previous owner. We tried everything we could and just couldn't get it clean. After the visit and asking some questions, we ended up with the trifecta of things we didn't even know he did. Not because he was pushy by any means, he actually told us how to do it ourselves but we asked if he did work like that because it would take us FOREVER and would be one of those weekend projects we would procrastinate (not to mention the cost of materials we'd have to get and only use a tiny amount of). What we ended up with was deep cleaning and resealing of the stone (travertine) tile, polishing and resealing of our granite countertops, and carpet cleaning of the high traffic areas. Yup. They do all that. And his prices were extremely reasonable. The guys were great- extremely professional and friendly. The tools they use are pretty cool as well and they explained what each of them was doing. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend them. So, a couple of tips: - Follow up with them if you don't get an immediate response. There were a couple of things that were forgotten but quickly remedied. I think they're just busy and a family-run business so some communication details get lost in the shuffle. (hey, remember that quote you said you were going to send by email?...) - We thought it was going to take at least half a day but we moved everything we could off the surfaces which seemed to cut the time in half, if not more. I think they normally do move a lot of things for folks because they seemed surprised. lol We also vacuumed everything right before they came over. - If you have granite or quartz countertops and have never resealed/polished them- do it. I don't think ours had ever been done and they are as smooth as glass now (more so than they were). - Ask them questions! They're a wealth of knowledge and will give you all sorts of good info for maintaining the surfaces and how to take care of them. - When they do the first pass with the cleaner on your tile, brick, or whatever you will feel like a dirty little hamster. I promise you. It was so nasty but have solace in the fact that they've probably seen worse. LOL

The travertine stairs in our home had been damaged by the previous owners. Apparently someone had…read moretried to clean them but instead etched the surface, leaving black marks where dirt had settled. Several companies came out and just scratched their heads, not knowing what to do. Jerry and his son from New Again knew exactly what had happened and how to restore them. It took a few weeks before they could get back out because they are in such demand. They even had to order a special sanding pad for my job but were very fair in their price, considering the extent of the work they did. The stairs look great now! I'm attaching photos because seeing is believing. New Again is fair, honest, and knowledgeable. My only criticism is that that his email quote directed me to a website that charged me the full amount before the work was done. However, I will be calling them in the future when I need other surfaces restored.

I'm not sure I'd want to work with a company that sends an inexperienced employee out to do appraisals. Every other company I've contacted had their owner handle the estimate.
