Then a phone call is made, "just to make sure the math is right." Then the person on the phone tries to change the agreed upon price. They will not tell you the price they are willing to pay per ounce... Period. They also say that they charge 6 - 8% commission, then the person on the phone tries to get 10 or 11% out of the transaction. When I was there they let another customer in the store while my $7000 worth of gold and silver lay on the counter. (second time that has happened.) This man is about 6'3", olive complexion, 190 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair, who I later see hitchhiking down silver side road. I guarantee that man, if picked up, will steal your money or merchandise. Price of silver bid @ $22.25. asked for 22/ounce. that's already more that 10%. I was offered even less. But today, when I came back to sell a couple of gold jewelry items that I wanted to get rid of, I was greeted by a staff member who was very rude. I pulled out my gold jewelry that I was looking to sell and he asked me what I was looking to get for them. I told him I'm not sure yet because I didn't know how much they weighed, and I asked if he could weigh them before we started negotiating. I felt like this was a reasonable request because he would have to weigh them anyways in order to determine how much he was willing to offer me. Also, most people don't have a jewelry scale at home. He immediately accused me of just trying to use them for their scale, instead of actually wanting to do business with them, although I spent hundreds with them 3 days prior. After he reluctantly weighed them, I had to ask multiple times for him to give my jewelry back. I wanted to step aside so I could do some calculations, because a group of other customers walked in and it was a tight space. He yelled something like "Just wanted to use us for our scale huh!?" He also later said I didn't know anything about my jewelry and that he had to tell me everything. Meanwhile, the only thing I didn't know was the weight of my jewelry because I don't own a jewelry scale. But I did know my jewelry's karats, and how to do all the total value calculations myself. I'm not sure why he was so upset that a customer wanted to know the weight of their gold before negotiating with him. It seemed like he was hoping I was too clueless to know what price range to negotiate in. Although he was rude, I did my calculations anyways and told him what I was looking to get. He told me what his best offer was, and we didn't come to an agreement, which was fine. I just wish I wasn't treated like a waste of time or accused of trying to use them. He didn't even apologize once he realized I was serious about wanting to sell my gold to them. I won't be back, and I hope no other customers are treated rudely by him. A customer should never be treated like a burden.

She grouped my items into separate piles according to purity of metal, and she explained the value of the groups to me. She went out of her way to try to take as much as she could, and apologized for what she could not take. She was incredibly professional and courteous, and when she was finished, she offered me more than what I would have received at my usual place.
