I took a loan out and have been making all my payment on time and even paid sometime twice the amount so not to pay back all that interest. On Dec 23 2021 I received a call informing me that my payment was due, I informed the girl that I tried over the weekend to my a payment online but the site was down. (it usually is) So I proceeded with my payment and asked how much my payoff was and so I agreed to pay a larger amount. The girl ask me for my card number again which I thought it odd, that was a red flag. A couple of days later I was reviewing my CC statement and noticed that they charged me twice for close to $800 dollars. My payment was less than $250. So I call the location informed them that they had charged me twice at that time she spoke to the manager and were going to refund my payment. Well jump ahead two later and no refund and they're calling me again to make a payment and I told them that I wasn't going to make a payment until that refund shows up in my account. Then I'm informed that they're just going to apply the refund payment toward my newest payment. So they basically lied to me and now or applying a minimal payment with all the interest. This is where they messed up. Do not trust New Mexico Title loan.

I took the paperwork to a friend for her review, good thing she worked for a loan company. She pointed out that I was paying more than double the original loan! She made a check out to the loan sharks at Title Loan for me & pointed out their treachery to them ---- they looked very sheepish afterwards. These loan companies need to be better regulated and made accountable for dishonest business practices. I felt like a prisioner who had been released! Becareful with nm loan companies.

I thought they said within 30 days (it's $50-$100 btw) but when I called they suggested I keep calling back because it was posted to my account yet? They also said it could take up to 32 days to be approved. So there is a referral bonus if your referral gets approved (which she did) but THAT has to be approved??? I was told it would be $237 to get the title, which I paid. After I paid, the lady comes back and tells me that I can't get my title YET because it is at their Corporate Office and it will be ready in 7-10 days. Next day I called her back to tell her to please call me and NOT my wife when the title is ready, then... she tells me "Oh, I'm, sorry, the loan you paid yesterday was a SIGNATURE LOAN and you still owe $336 for your title and the title is at location on 4009 San Mateo"!! WTF!? They let me pay a different loan under the pretense that it was for my title!! I went to the 4009 San Mateo location and I tried to get the money I paid previously applied to the title, haha! No go. They then proceed to tell me that my wife has loans at other locations that will need to paid before I can get the title back! They eventually call a manager somewhere and release the ransom from my title, if I'll pay them $436, even though they quoted me $336 moments before. So, now the price has been increased. In the end, I paid them and got screwed just to get my car back. Predatory Lending at it's best! Go sell plasma if you need money.

In just an hour I was able to walk out of there with a 2.5 K loan. They barely took anything collateral just my broken car that needed to get fixed which is why am pulling out the 2.5 K loan.
