Sadly I cannot recommend... she butchered my wedding dress. Cut through the beautiful lace and left…read moreit very uneven. She also changed the neck line when fixing my straps. I also had detachable sleeves and she messed up the hidden clasps by sewing everything together so it didn't look right anymore when I had them converted back to detachable. When I called to inform her she shrugged me off and down played it saying she can fix it. I was very disappointed because my initial impression of her was very positive. However, when I brought up getting a partial refund because I had to go to someone else to fix her mistakes, she ghosted me. I had to find someone else to fix everything and thankfully she worked miracles. And I almost forgot, when I was finally picking up my dress, I waited about 45 minutes for her to show up to do the exchange... I love supporting local and small businesses but not everyone knows how to do it correctly.

Sew…read moreBlessed Alterations was on an approved vendor list from the bridal store, but I was glad I also received a personal reference as well. Well I must say that Elaine is a true professional. She was able to make the changes to my dress in about 2 working days which is probably unusual but I needed to fly back home to Chicago. Not only did I receive my dress back in perfect shape, I also had this added stress removed from my plate as I was nervous about the finished look! I would recommend Elaine to any and everyone. You may have to let the phone ring a bit to get a response but she is worth the wait!!!
