I was craving nachos and the pictures from this place looked like authentic nachos from other places I've had in the past. I was extremely disappointed with the food. I couldn't believe at how bad the quality of the meat was. The carne asada was ery chewy and fatty. Barely edible. I'm shocked that this place would serve their customers such bad meat. I'd be embarrassed to own a restaurant that did this. I rarely leave a review, but this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had and I eat a lot of Mexican food. I really hope this place improves the quality of the meat. I'm always trying to support small businesses, but they should also not be serving such bad food. I'd be willing to pay a little more to get descent meat. Raise you prices if you have to to serve edible meat. read more

Food is horrible . I've been eating chorizo for almost my entire life . They gave me a chorizo and egg burrito without the egg. The chorizo was not chorizo it was chunks of fat I have never seen or ate anything like this in a Mexican restaurant. Friendly people too bad awful food . read more

The service was great. Very nice people. But this is not your traditional California Mexican food. This is Texas style. I ordered a chicken taco. It was boiled chicken in a fried corn tortilla topped with lettuce and cheese. I hate my tacos like that . They didn't have a picture of their tacos on the menu, so I had no idea. I should have looked them up on Yelp before I went. The chicken was also completely bland. No flavor. Sorry, but this California girl doesn't like Tex-Mex. read more

I tried this place because of the high Yelp rating. What a disappointment. Got the Asada Burrito and Tamale plate. Ordered sour cream and guacamole for my Burrito. I guess they were overwhelmed. Took a very long time for my order to be ready. They did a really sloppy job of wrapping the burrito in foil (part was uncovered), it was very very dry and had the sour cream but not the guacamole. The tamale was decent so my rating is 2 stars instead of 1. Never here again. read more

Everyone who works at this restaurant has been nice to me each and every time I've been there. I'll bet I've been here 30-40 times during the pandemic and they are always happy to see me. Absolutely phenomenal food that satisfies any craving. They have classic dishes like chile relleno, chile verde, burritos, tacos, and fajitas. Everything is made to order and the hardworking cooks make it just right. There are lunch specials to try out when you're hungry. Aquas frescas are available to quench your thirst. I don't know why they decided to sell, but I hope they are ok! The new owners have changed the prices (more expensive) and the menu items (smaller and just, not as good quality). Very small hole in the wall tucked away in a tiny strip mall. The California burrito was quite different from anything before. Firstly, it was huge. 20% larger than a Chipotle burrito, this was a big boy. Instead of french fries, they use cubed potatoes in a hash-style; interesting yet delicious. It's also smothered in a cheese/guac sauce reminiscent of poutine. Yummy. The free chips and salsa were good as well. Bring cash. If I'm in the area again I'd certainly come back. read more

The beans are delish & authentic, as is their salsa. They hook it up with chips/salsa every time. they're super quick even when they're slammed during Los Al high school lunch.
