Posole care asada tacos, guacamole sauce, And two types of hot sauce, All homemade.
    Robert W.

We usually travel to Tijuana and Rosarito Mexico fortunately, just down the road we found a taco stand. Actually, a restaurant that makes some homemade food equal to the food we look forward to when we cross the border. What makes this place unique is the flavor of the Carne Asada chopped up perfectly on very small Perfectly grilled tortillas. My favorite meals are usually breakfast. The Chiaquiles come with Carne Asada. My wife gets two tacos. I've also had the huevos rancheros with the red sauce is unbelievable. Today we are having their daily special of posole cooked with pork and unbelievable rich broth we are the only gringos here we come twice a week and we get out of here for 25 bucks or less including authentic Mexican, sodas I was surprised it wasn't on yelp, so I'm very happy that I was able to add it. Give it a try better than a taco truck.

A newer addition to all the neighborhood taco spots we love, and have on rotation!…read moreHouse made tortillas, I loved the rice and whole beans (rather than refried). I got one each of every taco available: pork al pastors, everything else was beef : cheek, lengua, asada, cabeza, labio- every meat morsel was tender and delicious. I asked for onions and cilantro on top. Self serve bar has mild green salsa and a delicious but spicy yellow orange (scotch bonnet?). Casual dining: you place your order and the food is prepared quickly. Served a refreshing jamaica (I hope I spelled that right) - just enough tangy to sweetness flavor, also tried the horchata . Was served by a kindly gentleman : I had asked for water but did not realize it was bottled and charged for each one. I asked if he would replace them with two more tacos instead (slightly close in price but not exact) and he did. Got a quesadilla for the child and it was a huge portion with no added spices so she enjoyed it. Parking was easy the afternoon I came. High chairs available. Clean restroom.

They just need to up the seasoning or something because the texture was awesome. We got 12 tacos. 6 cabeza, 3 lengua, and 3 cachete. This would have been a 1 star but the coffee jelly they had in a small case at the register was good.

And do not be fooled, the salsa is actually pretty spicy, not insanely spicy as I was still able to enjoy my food. I had been waiting years to eat this burrito and it did not disappoint. The service is also great, there was one dude on the floor doing all the bussing and ordering but he was on it. Props to that guy. Also I loved the banda music playing in the back, it really seals the deal on the vibe the restaurant has going.

It was bright like a fast food joint, but had table service and beer, wine and margaritas. We were a fairly good sized group of 9 and sat side by side on two booths that were separated by a glass partition that they removed. My brother-in-law told me the place is packed on the weekends and, judging by the food, I don't doubt it. The portions are big and the flavors strong, but not overpowering. The sampler plate is enough to share and is a good choice for someone who wants a little bit of everything. The carnitas were really good. It wasn't dry and the pieces were thin cut slices. With my flour tortillas and their delicious salsa, it was mouthwateringly good. The chicken fajitas, like the sampler, were enough to share. In fact, my wife and mother-in-law shared a plate. The molcajete was sizzling hot with delicious fish and shrimp and pulpo (octopus). I'm not a pulpo fan, but my brother-in-law ate everything and said it was delicious. Parking is tight and if you're traveling too fast on Carson going eastbound you might miss it. If you're traveling westbound, you need to turn on the street before the restaurant. The staff were really nice and polite and even sang happy birthday to my brother-in-law and gave him a sombrero for the pics, to boot. It truly was a wonderful night of family and good food and a place we'll put on our regular rotation soon.
