Came here on a Saturday afternoon to watch a basketball game. The vibes here are super chill. Deniz was our bartender and he was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Met my GFS here for a dinner before they attended a comedy show next door. Saturday evening. We made reservations. I found street parking, next to the lounge. Used the ParkMobile App. When I walked in, around 515pm, the place was about 35% capacity. LOUD music lol but a LIVE DJ was ROCKING at the door / by the door. The DJ was playing ALLLLLL of the classics from the mid 90s-early 2000s. The music was SUPA loud tho, my friends were all yelling to each other to talk to one another - while sitting next and infront of each other lol. Also, the DJ only played like 30 seconds per song which left the entire place wanting to sing a sing more. There is food and drinks available. Cocktails averaged about $13. We also shared a Hookah at $30 total. Different flavors available. I didn't get food as I was set to go to another spot after that, but my friends all enjoyed the dishes they got. Our waitress seemed to cater to the entire place, so it was periods of time we didn't see her and needed things (like napkins lol) This place also has brunch. The front part of the restaurant was the bar and table style seating. The back was the lounge (with plush chairs and low tables), leading back to the bathrooms was the kitchen. Finally checked off this spot Caspis off my to-go list! Was invited to one of my friend's Birthday Brunch and I'm so happy I came. It was a super raining day and parking wasn't in my favor even though I found a close spot eventually. Street parking is metered and you can use ParkMobile app. There is FREE parking in the back too which I didn't know until after. Food- AMAZING like seriously EVERYTHING was beyond Good! I had the following foods: Scrambled eggs with cheese - Soft and cooked perfectly and definitely fresh cracked eggs used and good portion size. I loved this just added pepper. Fried potatoes with green peppers and onions - I omitted the mushrooms since I don't eat them but baby this alone was soft yet crunchy, flavorful and way too much to consume alone. These came out so fast and still were good after 15 minutes and I'm so picky lol. I can't forget the onion dipping sauce on the side was SUPERB & I had to get extra bc it was too good. Grilled salmon - Perfection, taste and portion size. French toast (shared) -OMG portions for this is not enough but sooooooooo freakin delish!!! Definitely don't share bc that pistachio cream cheese frosting butter is everything! You don't even need syrup, the only thing I removed was the blackberries but their fruits are fresh! Overall, as for food they definitely accommodate to your needs/liking with NO HASSLE! Price- Affordable and you definitely get your monies worth at this spot. All depends if you're drinking because in my opinion that's usually where you spend the most money. FYI- Bottomless Mimosas are $30 PER PERSON, they do not play about that and watch if you are "trying to share drinks". You're either drinking or not, but if you plan on drinking 2 or more drinks, I recommend doing bottomless since drinks are $13+ unless you're getting bottle service. Ambiance- This place is well designed and beautiful inside, nice seating and beautiful neon colors everywhere. Oh yea, they play great music even without a DJ (sometimes they have a DJ in house). Clean and definitely well kept. Customer Service- It was great! They constantly attended our needs and even though we were a huge party, they got our food out in good timing. Came out to meet up with my girl for a mid-day brunch. Now I've never really been on this side of Arlington so I didn't know what to expect. Thank God it was plenty of street parking that was close by and also a garage was just across the street. The spot is on the corner of a pretty busy street next door to the cinema draft house. Mind you the place is so small and our table was near the DJ booth and the door. So what I don't like about brunch here is the pricing. Now I've been to many places for brunch and I'm use to paying one price for the entire brunch and bottomless mimosas. Now here everything is separate. The bottomless mimosas are $30 OR you can pay $13 for each one. Now they know good and well nobody going to do that. And if one person gets it the entire table has too. Ok I'm use to that. But the food prices were ridiculous too. Even places in DC the food is including like a buffet. So I got the shrimp and grits, salad, and a steak egg roll. I've been coming to caspi for years! Since the beginning and they have definitely stepped it up from the staff to the customer service to the whole ambiance. They are the epicenter of Arlington. NOTHING COMPARES. If you haven't tried the hookah,drinks, or food you are missing out on an up and coming gem. The staff definitely knows what they are doing. Since this was myself and my friends first time visiting I had no idea this would be an up charge of $4 now making my drink $16 for a Casamigos Reposado, which was not what I asked for. Sade didn't explain the difference of price AT ALL and rarely checked up on us. I also enjoyed chicken wings and fires. I see gratuity is automatically included here so it seems that our waitress was upgraded our drinks to increase her tip. This whole ordeal makes it very unlikely that I will come back. The server was nice but the language disconnect and loud music made it harder to communicate with him. The brunch menu is very limited which sucks. Went here after a comedy show on Sunday 7/23/23. Greeted by security at the door who searched my bag and allowed us entry. We sat at the bar. I ordered two Tito's with pineapple juice. I passed this place a million times not thinking it was a hookah place inside. Once inside it look a really modern lounge. Hooka was great too especially the pineapple hookah. Service was a bit slow and they initially must of forgot my drink but the waiter was great and sent an extra one my way even though an apology would of have been good enough. This was my third time coming to this place I wasn't impressed the first two times. But this was the first time I came on a Saturday night and it was pack. Firstly I had a hard time getting inside. I was met with a very rude security guard White with tattoos on his face. He gave me the nastiest look and asked me if I had a reservation. He told me to figure out what the reservation is under. They were just trying to get money out of me. I am not sure why a bar is charging 20 dollars to get in especially when most likely ppl will be spending money inside the bar. Anyway this guy continues to be rude to me when I asked you need a reservation to get inside because out of the 8 ppl I was with no one else was told that. Now I am a darker skinned woman I am not sure if this is why he came at me so aggressively when I was just asking a question. He started getting smart with me saying yea that's what I said and this and that it got to a point when I asked him why you are talking to me like that he then asked the other security who was black to deal with me. I have never felt so belittled and disrespected in my entire life. I am not sure why these security guards have no type of respect especially when it comes to paying patrons. I will not be returning here. Especially if this establishment is going to hire men who have anger issues or hate towards women and probably can't find a job somewhere else. I.E the tattoos on his face. I would hope the owner of this establishment is making sure their security is using that aggressive energy towards ppl who actually need it. I really want to like this place. It's so great having a late night hookah spot with good food walking distance from my home but every time I go, seeing the bill always pisses me off. It's not even bc the tab is too expensive but more bc it's expensive for no good reason and there are unnecessary additional charges that they seem to tack on for sport. Things to know ahead of time if you decide to go to this place: They charge an 18% gratuity on your bill no matter your party size or what you order. My bf and I have gone here several times (just the 2 of us) and they've thrown an extra 18% gratuity on the bill every time, no matter what we've ordered, hookah or no hookah. They get your order wrong every time and will still try to charge you for the food they forgot to bring you. Depending on your server, you might have to kick & scream a bit to get them to knock off the charges for the food you never even received. They basically charge the same amount for sodas/non-alcohol as they do for alcoholic beverages and there are no free refills. Instead of having a refill fee, each additional soda is full price. Oh, and I should also throw in that there's sometimes a young boy (no older than 4 or 5) there, running around the place late at night (well after midnight) that nearly knocks down the hookahs as he runs amuck. I think he must be a child of one of the owner's friends or something. I feel bad that the kid is sometimes there late at night inhaling all that hookah smoke and missing his bedtime. So after multiple visits, out of 5 stars, I give this place 3 stars for the great hookah service, the delicious lamb kabobs, cool vibe and close proximity to my home. But -2 stars for the Absentminded servers, excessive charges, and another -2 stars for the bad experience I had with one of the female servers the last time I was there. oh, what has become of this place. What was once an entertaining, family-owned Moroccan establishment has become nothing more than a run down bar serving wings & mozzarella sticks while pop EDM plays in the background. Sighhh. I recall Mazagan so fondly; great, hands-on management, excellent food, beautifully-crafted cocktails and live entertainment. But what exists in it's place now is merely a ghost of what was. We sit down at the bar to have a drink before dinner one Saturday evening. Ghost town. We ask the uninterested bartender for a drink menu and he eventually hands us one saying, "here, it's dirty". And that it was. No sexy, high-end cocktails; rather, a crumbled piece of dirty paper with a few cocktails listed. I didn't bother, I just ordered a glass of prosecco. My friend ordered a grapefruit kiss or something and it was literally still water and gin. RIP to Amine...creator of one of the best espresso martinis and amazing mixologist. Huge star knocked off for the uninspired cocktails. We are seated at a small 2 top in the middle riiight next to that dreaded door that blows your napkin off your lap and table everytime someone enters. Listen, I realize this is an architectural issue but let's figure it out, shall we? Clear that middle space entirely of tables. Do SOMETHING. Hit the spot. Freshly made goodness. I ordered the beef shish kabob as my main. It comes with two sides. I chose the rice and asparagus and corn. Yummm. The kabob was so good. I used to love this place when it used to be Magsan! When the management changed became a Caspi I went there and enjoyed my favorite hookah then ( Moscow never sleeps) and the food was good. They brought new furniture from Turkey that is trashed by now. They had the sweetest waitre , a moroccan gentleman, Khalid I guess! I went there for dates, with meet-ups, with close friends and we enjoyed the tea and fresh hookah. That was back in 2019. I used to call it my secret spot that was discovered now. I just visited again in 2021,and the place has deteriorated badly. There were a security guard at the door fully equipped ( that tells you something about the new customers). They claim that their tables all are reserved, however these table remained empty until we left. I just ordered my former favorite the hookah and ordered a teapot. It was supposed to be a black tea and I asked for mint. The server brought it carried with the dirtiest towel I ever saw, maybe the one they used to wipe the tables! and poured the tea without letting it steep. It tasted like dirt water. No taste of tea or mint. I just made a teapot at home that tasted 100 times better. The hookah tastes terrible, not what used to be and gave me a mean headache. This hookah flavor is not authentic and not what the flavor used to be. Music, some loud lounge music was played and when I asked for Turkish music they said no Turkish people come here. I understand why! Prices, went up hight! the hookah is for $30 that is a $25 in most respectful hookah bars like Cloud lounge or Tarboosh! Food menu, they stopped serving Turkish Arays or pies. This has happened to me, and I've heard from a lot of others as well, that you'll be told there's no room in the lounge or no seating available, and then suddenly this guy will walk in with 5-6 Eastern European girls with him, all exchange hugs with the staff, then be ushered right over to a table that they clear for them. My friends and I arrived for their Sunday brunch and we all started off with a round of their Limoncello Martinis which were very good! Not too sweet or artificially tasting. Disappointed gave this place two tries recently and each time hookah has been trash. Had the fried calamari and it was very chewy. Ordered a Mai Thai and it taste like soap. My friends had the sex on beach drinks which were also nasty. Use to come here in the past and it was better. Caspi is funny! My friend called at 12pm to make a reservation for 4 people at 9pm. Someone from Caspi called my friend at 8pm to let us know they cancelled our reservation because "an inspector" came and said they were at capacity.
