The hospital is fully aware of their tactics but use them. The collection agency was informed that the hospital was being paid monthly and there are no other funds, they said they did not care will call daily until the hospital tells them to stop. This is criminal phone harassment by state statue. We like the staff and the closeness of the hospital, but they are pushing us away. They advertise they care about us but cause unnecessary stress daily on our mental health. Does it take a lawsuit to get justice. We are on social security and no savings so what do they want us to do. So if you dont have cash to pay your copay within 30 days expect harassment daily

I arrived at 12:10 a.m. and was not taken to a room until 3:30 a.m. I understand ERs triage by acuity, so the wait alone is not my primary complaint. My concern is what happened once I was roomed. The treatment room was visibly dirty--full trash and dirty-linen receptacles, debris/hair on the floor, and a dirty pillow underneath the bed. I reported it to the nurse and was told it would be addressed. I also took photos documenting the conditions. Dr. Cox was the bright spot of the experience. He was caring, compassionate, and took my concerns seriously. Unfortunately, after he ordered my workup, there were significant delays. Radiology came twice to perform my CT but couldn't proceed because the required IV had not been placed. Despite multiple calls for assistance, my IV wasn't established until more than an hour after Dr. Cox evaluated me. After the shift change, my experience with Dr. Burley was completely different. I found his bedside manner dismissive, accusatory, and lacking compassion. I felt rushed out rather than treated like a patient whose concerns mattered. Between the dirty room, poor responsiveness, delays in ordered care, and dismissive discharge experience, I was extremely disappointed. I appreciate Dr. Cox's professionalism, but based on my overall experience, I would not return to Saint Luke's East for emergency care.

The last thing they need is to be treated without compassion or empathy. The triage nurse I encountered was extremely rude and made an already difficult situation even worse. If you work in healthcare, especially in an emergency room, kindness and compassion should be part of the job. Patients may already be having one of the worst days of their lives. A little patience, understanding, and even a smile can make a huge difference. The wait times are also absolutely insane. Waiting 5-6 hours to be seen is unacceptable, especially for people who are sick and suffering. Every time I come here, the wait seems to be the same. Perhaps the hospital should consider expanding the ER and adding more doctors and nurses to help meet the demand. It may also be worth considering having separate areas for patients with less urgent illnesses and those experiencing true emergencies, so that people can be treated according to the seriousness of their condition. I truly hope the hospital takes these concerns seriously. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for when they come to the ER for help. Compassion costs nothing, and it can make all the difference to someone who is already hurting.

The pills they gave me to take were also narcotics. I called the following day saying I am sicker now than before. I said I need a NON NARCOTIC DRUG called in. They said I had to come back to the ER. I did and the knew doctor was hateful and argumentive. He treated me like I was a bother. Sent me home saying he would only give me narcotics. Never fixed anything. A month later my bill came for $25,000. I hate how I cannot go to the hospital if I am sick. It is horrible that they can charge you a half a years wages to do nothing.I lost my work and now have the hospital sending me letter after letter that they want paid.

The natural light makes it feel less like you'd expect. My family member's care team was present, caring and handled my family's questions along with making sure they were comfortable.

After 3 years apparently you're discarded and considered a new patient, and every PCP office I called within the Lees Summit and surrounding areas either aren't accepting new patients or they're not scheduling new patient appointments for a minimum of 5-8 months, leaving me without help after severely injuring my back, I was in so much pain, and I needed immediate care, so I made a same day appointment (on a Sunday) at NextCare Urgent Care is Lees Summit (off of McBaine Drive), and they exceeded my expectations in every way. First, you can make an appointment online, and they honor those appointments (no matter how many walk-ins are there before you.) In addition I have received exceptional care. I've been twice in the last 2 weeks, and have had to call in multiple times. They are always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. From the front desk (who is also the R.T./x-ray tech), to the nurse who was so kind, caring and helpful, to the Dr/FNP Thomas Sims, I have received excellent care. I cannot say enough great things about them. If you need immediate care (that doesn't require going to the ER) I encourage you to make an appointment with NextCare Urgent Care in Lee's Summit. My GI wanted me to go to LS this time because she felt they are the best in town for imaging. I walked into the lobby and was greeted very warmly and quickly registered on the iPad. The lobby was open and comfortable. Once I went back to imaging I was taken to a waiting/dressing room to begin drinking a solution. The tech brought me pants to change into and offered a warm blanket. Once it was time for my abdominal MRI I was talked through the process and prepped. My IV went smoothly and the tech constantly checked to make sure I was okay. She walked me through every step the entire time. I tend to start to panic in the machine but hearing her voice kept me focused. I felt truly cared for every step of the way.
