My sternum was broken my unfortunate discovery is still in the beginning of the recovery process but I'm glad I chose this hospital to be seen in. I've been to several different ER's in the past but this has been the best place to go to during a variety of health needs that I have had come up with me. This was kinda funny but I found charging cables out in the waiting room and I was impressed with this because I had been in the other hospitals waiting area after I had been discharged and I was waiting for my ride home and they didn't have anything to help people like that. I've been trying to be very careful and not say the name of the other place but I will be leaving them a review on my opinions on my last visit so if you are trying to use the reviews to see which one is a better option you just might find me there too. But I have been impressed with this place for a while now and it's why I chose them again. They're always looking for ways to make things better for everyone.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Mike Ausmus for 30+ years. He was wonderful. Over the…read moreyears, though, St. Luke's primary care became worse and worse. The bureaucracy became impenetrable. Patients could not schedule an appointment without waiting months - even in an emergency or when post-hospitalization checkups where immediately needed. Patients could not call their doctors. The Central Scheduling office that handles all patient communication knows nothing about medical care, always says it will be 5 to 6 months to get an appointment, even in an emergency. And, the Urgent Care office is notoriously horrible; even St. Luke's doctors recommend going elsewhere. Since Mike retired it has become infinitely worse. We received a letter telling us we'd been "reassigned" to another doctor - like cattle. However, that was not true. When we called to make an appointment for an urgent issue, we were told we did not actually have a doctor. We would need to schedule a new patient appointment - 9 months later. I scheduled new patient appointments for each member of our family, and the doctor cancelled some of them and did not show up for the others. It's been a year now, and our children have not seen a doctor. St. Luke's management has lost its way. By putting up all these barriers between patients and doctors, they are effectively committing malpractice. I would strongly recommend choosing another primary care office.

The department is undergoing renovations so the spaces were cramped, but the staff went out of their way to make me as comfortable as possible and kept me posted of my lab results and their decision making as things progressed. I ended up being admitted and the excellent service continued with my nurses, doctors, meals, housekeeping, etc. I highly recommend this facility!

I check in and the lady wouldn't even look at me, said name, dob, sit down over there. then I didn't have insurance so the bleach blonde director came out and was all uppity with me and said I would have to pay $1000 first before any X-rays would be done. she wouldn't let me pay later that afternoon, I'm like well I don't have it on me and she said well you won't be able to get your test done. so I called diagnostic imaging and they were just awesome! I went the next day and only paid $90.75 f both of xrays. very courteous and nice. I won't be going back to Lee summ medical for anything again!!

After 3 years apparently you're discarded and considered a new patient, and every PCP office I called within the Lees Summit and surrounding areas either aren't accepting new patients or they're not scheduling new patient appointments for a minimum of 5-8 months, leaving me without help after severely injuring my back, I was in so much pain, and I needed immediate care, so I made a same day appointment (on a Sunday) at NextCare Urgent Care is Lees Summit (off of McBaine Drive), and they exceeded my expectations in every way. First, you can make an appointment online, and they honor those appointments (no matter how many walk-ins are there before you.) In addition I have received exceptional care. I've been twice in the last 2 weeks, and have had to call in multiple times. They are always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. From the front desk (who is also the R.T./x-ray tech), to the nurse who was so kind, caring and helpful, to the Dr/FNP Thomas Sims, I have received excellent care. I cannot say enough great things about them. If you need immediate care (that doesn't require going to the ER) I encourage you to make an appointment with NextCare Urgent Care in Lee's Summit. You will not be disappointed.

I know of no other skin and vein clinic to compare to, but what I do know is that in the past few months I have seen results with those unsightly spiders that have been stuck on my legs for a while. The staff is friendly and also very knowledgeable. If someone doesn't know they answer they will go out of their way to get it. The doctors, both Fearon and Baker are both nice and personable. I was also impressed that they closed their clinic on Monday due to potential bad weather and road conditions, expressing great concern over the safety of their staff and patients. What more can I say? If you need any vein treatment I highly recommend them. I am aware that they also provide laser treatment procedures for hair, skin lesions and other cosmetic issues, which I am sure they are good for.

Now I have to start over with allergy shots because I have no record of concentration, volume or even of what allergen is being treated by the shots. Also, when going to a new consultation, the brand new doctor said that I was getting not as potent shots from here and that the concentration should be higher.
