I ordered a sub club, I wouldn't recommend, it's big but was lathered in mayonnaise and melted cheese, there wasn't any bacon in it, the lettuce onions and tomatoes were soggy, I don't think a hot sub is a good choice for a club. This used to be one of my favorite stops. They changed their menu and now they no longer offer soup and salad combo or sand-which and salad combo. The kids running it yesterday evening didn't give a flip about customer service or working all they cared about was being in their phones. One of them kept come picking off the salad bar. Sigh....I have tried and tried regularly to keep this one of my favorite places. But...it seems like its just keeps going down hill. It's just not what it used to be. The salad bar doesn't seem fresh. The lettuce mix looked old, and was more brown than it was vibrant and green. The onions were wilted and didn't look fresh cut. The crab salad, which used to be my favorite was congealed. I ordered a steak and mushroom, got a steak and cheese instead. Which I didn't want to make a fuss about, easy mistake when you order on the phone during peak hours. But the sandwich itself was so oily and greasy. Definitely, not what Cassidy's was known for. There's no way this place meets food sanitation requirements. The salad bar is right next to a door with a bad hinge, meaning it swings open any time the knob is pulled. If you've been in this town, you know it's dusty, dirty, and windy, and having a wide open door to those elements next to the salad bar is just unsanitary. The soup pot (which is part of the salad bar), also just sits there, open, with no lid. I really don't know how this place meets code, or if it's ever inspected. It should really be reformed or shut down. This isn't just a minor occurrence, I've been here quite a few times, but hopefully won't be back. read more

I thought the place was nice and clean, and thought the inside was relaxing. I wasn't sure if they would have any hot sandwiches or what type of selection they had, but they had a decent variety on the menu I order the Spicy Italian cheeseburger sandwich which wasn't spicy at all but tasted good. The bread was warm, fresh, and the marinara sauce (came separate) was good to. I'll definitely be trying some of the other items on the menu. I was disappointed with the price though. I got a small tea and large sandwich (about a 1ft long) with no fries for about $10.50. They had other items on the menu for around 6.00$. One of the best salad bars in town. Kept fresh and with lots of variety. Soups are good but most have lots of rice for filler. Lots of good sandwiches too. I especially like the Chicken Monterey. When we walked in we weren't acknowledged, even though there were three ladies standing by the register. We didn't know more or less how the ordering process was to take place. Do we sit & they assist us? Are we suppose to order at the register? They looked at us like we were dumb! My husband did not like his sandwich, there was no flavor to it what so ever. My husband and I used to frequent Cassidy's quite often to share a salad and a sandwich. Neither of us eat very much and it's just easier to get one sandwich and one salad to share, rather than waste food and money. The last time we went in, the lady working the counter told us that we weren't "allowed to split" a salad and she refused to sell us one. Delicious oid favorites like the West Coast sub with turkey and avocado or the Philly Cheesesteak are not items you will find in any restaurant/cafe/deli in West Texas.
