This restaurant has been open since 1969, and based on my recent dining experience here, I don´t know how.
The ambience is very nice: the restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows on 3 sides, so you have a nice view of the lake. That is about all the good I have to say about it.
We shared an appetizer portion of beef tongue in Madeira sauce. While the size of the appetizer was generous, it did not taste good. In fact, I did not finish it. For a main course I ordered steak au poivre and it was a bit past my requested cook point, but that wasn't the end of the world. The pepper sauce was insipid and the rice and potatoes that accompanied my steak were absolutely flavorless.
My wife ordered a beef salad (with filet mignon) and the beef was so overcooked that it looked burned (any more burned and it would have been cremated). Her salad had no dressing so my wife asked if she could have the mustard sauce that they serve on other salads available. The waiter brought the smallest ramekin of sauce they could find and she had to mix it even though she made this request when she ordered. Needless to say, neither of us finished our main courses.
The waiter seemed distracted and the service was not that good.
I skipped dessert because I didn't want to be disappointed again. I cannot recommend this restaurant and I doubt that I will be going back. read more
