I went and saw Becky a week and half after having my second baby. I had a failed epidural during the birth that left me with a spinal headache. My only relief was laying on my back. After a couple years of secondary infertility and 3 different doctors, I finally had 1 doctor suggest acupuncture. I was willing to try anything, especially after the last doctor told us we may have to eventually think about surrogacy or adoption. After researching, I came across Becky and made an appointment. At our first appointment, Becky sat down with me and got to know me as best she could. She was so calm, gentle, and asked all the questions to choose the best path for us to work together. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always made me feel like she cared about every moment of my journey. I have gone to Becky for a few years now to help my hormones get back in balance after a major physical breakdown. She really helped me get my body back on track and she introduced me to a lot of new ideas. I was so excited to see her when I got pregnant. She helped me manage symptoms and I believe that going to her during my 3rd trimester benefited my labor by nourishing my body. I had an appointment scheduled with her the day I woke up in early labor. My contractions had slowed down and the midwife gave me the green light to go to Accupuncture so that we could get the ball rolling. While I was on the bed, I felt the contractions get much stronger. I had the baby early the following morning. so glad I had the extra boost! The week after I had the baby, I suffered from the worst headaches I had ever experienced and a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. I also had intense chills that would make me shake, even though I was hormonally sweating like a pig. I was really worried because my support would be leaving and I knew I was in no shape to take care of my baby:( Becky had me come in immediately and she took such good care of me. She put a hot castor oil pack on my stomach and explained how I needed to warm the uterus and stay bundled up (in addition to Accupuncture points to loosen the tension and help the headaches.) Apparently, that kind of thing can get worse If not treated, so I made sure to take her advice. By the next morning, the headaches were completely gone, and my tension had diminished.
