This was our second time staying here for our anniversary. This is a castle themed bed and breakfast. Our room was Rapunzels tower. It was a nice room. The tub was more triangle shaped which was weird and the bed wasn't extremely comfortable but it was ok. They have their movies under PLEX on a Roku and there kept being network connection issues. They need to update their network or Internet so that doesn't happen. Our breakfast was eggs Benedict, which was pretty good. The issues we had were small enough that we will stay here again. Especially since the price is very reasonable. read more

We had a fantastic stay! The room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was great, but the coffee was not ready until the rest of the meal was, which was kind of frustrating. Those of us who are early risers need coffee first thing! Otherwise, we have stayed three times now and have enjoyed it each time. I really want to give it more stars...the Pros first. The customer service is top notch! Very friendly and helpful. Jetted tub very relaxing and nice strong jets. Bed was very comfy. And now the Cons. We stayed in the Edinburgh room and there's no table....they have a nice long couch opposite the bed but you can't see the tv from there. They have a fireplace but no ac. There is no separate shower, it's connected to the tub. The after hour snack area no longer have baked goods or name brand drinks (coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr Pepper) but packaged cookies and Shasta. Breakfast wasn't anything different... They served French toast, sausage patties and a hash brown casserole. Fruits a cake of some sort and orange juice. So if the price is right I'd stay again...but this wouldn't be my first choice. read more

This place is awesome!! The staff is incredible...they are very friendly and accommodating. They even catered to my specific dietary needs by providing gluten free cookies upon arrival and gluten free pancakes for breakfast. The food is delicious and you can be served breakfast in bed too :) We stayed in the Palace Royale room. It was beautiful...big comfy bed, fireplace, jacuzzi tub. My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary and loved it so much that we came back for our second anniversary! We really love the cozy castle environment with time period artwork, suits of armor, and traditional style furnishings. We also really like the staff here--during both of our stays, the staff member at the front desk was so nice and willing to help us in any way possible. There may be fancier B&Bs out there, but this one is so quaint and the staff are so friendly that we have become loyal customers of Castle Creek! read more

The complimentary snacks were a really fun touch to a fun night at this cool castle B&B, although the cookies weren't as soft as I like. The staff was super friendly. Our room was wonderful - other than a spider that crawled up and out of the vanity sink - but my husband took care of it. The breakfast was quite a bit less than we expected. The food at most hotel breakfasts offers more variety and a higher quality. Other than a let down on the breakfast portion, we were very happy. read more

We booked the kings room and it was in the dungeon blinds closed, dark, dreary, musty, nothing is up to date, the bed was bowed, pool table was nasty, and within a few minutes after arriving we left to go elsewhere. Very nice staff but prices are way too high for the rooms. There was garbage on the floor, no one at the front desk, and the tv didn't work. It advertised a snack bar along with free movies in each room which there wasn't. It also advertised brunch, a gift shop, and breakfast which were no longer available because of COVID. However, we still had to pay the full price for each room. Overall very disappointing experience and wouldn't recommend for the amount of money they are asking for. read more

I was super prepared to love our stay...but it fell a little flat for us! Pros: *Breakfast in bed was amazing *The bed was comfy...even if my hubby thought there were too many pillows *The big jetted tub was super relaxing *It was very quiet *the garden and water features are beatiful Cons: *Burned out light bulb..no biggie, but not what i was expecting at the price point *No way to control the temperature in the room...it was way too warm *Plex movie system did not work during our entire stay..even after we complained and were told it was fixed *I was forced to go barefoot if i wanted to see the garden. The loose, broken stone stairs were simply too dangerous to navigate in heels. *My hubby knelt to retrieve a shoe that had been kicked under the bed and found a chew tobacco package, two bottles of lotion and a condom wrapper. None of which were ours and totally creeped me out! For $270.00, the bed better be amazing. Sadly that was not the case. We stayed in the King's Lodge. The mattress had almost no spring in it. It seemed to be 20 years old. The pillows were just as bad. They were either hard or lumpy. My whole body was sore the next morning. Also, there is no apparent way to control the room temperature. Breakfast was okay. You do not get a choice and you don't know what they are serving until you get there in the morning. It came with fresh pineapple but a lot of it was very chewy. They served chocolate chip bread. The eggs benedict was delicious. But that was the only choice. The sausage looks like it was frozen and just heated up. The hash browns and cheese did not have any flavor. Lastly, they have no adult movies. Otherwise if you don't care about how good you sleep or if you can control the temperature of the room (both extremely high on my list) , it is great. It is a beautiful looking building. The back has a serene woodsy area with a waterfall. The staff is very friendly. And the rooms are great, with a jacuzzi, free Wi-Fi, LCD television, fireplace, and gobs of hot water (we filled up the jacuzzi twice). The King's Lodge even has a pool table in it. read more

A remote hide-a-way Salt Lake City Bed & Breakfast? Who knew! I was planning a romantic Valentine's get-a-way in Heber or Park City and looking at all of the bed and breakfast options and I accidentally stumbled upon this GEM! I am so glad I did. Our stay for Valentine's 2013 was absolutely perfect. The fireplace made the room cozy, the jetted tub added to the romance and the staff were amazingly perfect. We'll be back. read more

The room is dilapidated and in need of repair. The tub is small (not made for two). There are a ton of weird instructions about checking in and checking out. You have to go out the back door if you are leaving not between the hours of 4-11pm and you need to lock the door to the place behind you. The doors don't lock automatically on the rooms. The furniture is old and so is the carpet. The room had nicks in the wall and the paint job. Overall, it just felt really in disrepair. The toilet looked like it had never been scrubbed. My personal favorite: the sink doesn't drain well. The lighting in the bathroom is super dim. The breakfast lacks presentation. It isn't delivered on a tray but rather styrofoam take out boxes out into a metal bucket. There is something to be said for presentation when it comes to appetite. Also, the tv in the room was tiny. The room was dusty and we just wanted to leave the moment we got there. Won't be going back. One more thing: there are no temperature controls in the room and you don't talk to the front desk about it--you text a maintenance number. Felt more like prison than a bed and breakfast. Put some ventilation controls in each room please. This is 2021! read more

We decided the day of our 25th anniversary we wanted to stay somewhere special and found Castle Creek Inn. They were able to accommodate us and even provided the gluten free breakfast I needed the next morning. The room was beautiful and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. A great find. It's hard to locate a B&B that is wheelchair accessible. Castle Inn makes a pretty good attempt to do so. They certainly have room to improve (accessible door locked, towel rack and shower head too high to reach), but at least they have made an attempt. Breakfast served was great. I wish we could have had more time to check out the games and videos. read more

Definitely will be a repeat guest. Staff very friendly. Room was amazing from the BIG Nice smelling towels, Cottonelle toilet paper to the softest sheets on the bed. The room was so quiet and LOVED how you are only minutes from restaurants and freeway but yet feel like you are out in the deep woods. read more

I don't normally write reviews but this one is a must. Went on Valentines day, February 14th, 2022. Folks, if you periodically visit Themed B&B's and enjoy them, please be fully warned before you go to this one. The room is very small, The tv is even smaller, like micro screen, the entire room is in dire need of maintenance - it looks like the Inn has not had a thorough cleaning in several years. The caulking in the shower was all peeled away and it looked like mold. The slip-strips in the bottom of the shower were all peeled and rolled up with mold underneath. One arm of the toilet paper roll was broke off of the wall and rather than take the 20 minutes it might take to fix it, just leave it like that and put a metal stand next to it that falls over if you try and unroll toilet paper too fast. Did I mention the tv screen was teeny? Could not make out anything on tv unless you sat right in front of it - forget sitting on the bed and trying to watch tv. Oh, and the information in the room stated that room service had been indefinitely discontinued, however, when you check in you have to fill out a sheet about what you want for breakfast and they deliver it. Don't be misled by the information in the room, you will eventually get your breakfast in Styrofoam containers with plastic utensils. If you like Oatmeal, DO NOT order it - 2 thimbles full of instant oatmeal and NOTHING to go with it - not even milk. No raisins, brown sugar, sliver nuts, etc. Razor thin bacon, and I've never seen bacon that thin in my life. The treats in the room, a little pack of nuts and cookies, I think the date said they expired last year and both were very stale. You will be much better off taking a 1.5 hour drive to the Black Swan in Pocatello - try the jungle room - it is awesome. Now this is a true, clean themed B&B. read more

I think this is a great place at a great value. We have stayed several times, and really enjoy the room and staff. What a fun getaway from the city, but close to everything. Very quiet rooms, beautiful decorations, and great breakfast in the morning. Every past visit was 5 of 5 stars. Giving a 4 of 5 this time because the room was pretty warm when we arrived and the A/C unit didn't really catch up until the middle of the night. That made it less comfortable than it could have been. True you get no choice on breakfast, but the pancakes, eggs and bacon and juice bar we had on our last stay were excellent and tasty anyway. We also got a free "upgrade" package. Not sure if it was because we were repeat customers or because it was our anniversary, but either way, the staff went above/beyond for us. To address a "CON" post below. True there are no adult movies, probably because the vast majority of the guests don't care for them, and/or because the owner's religious beliefs don't allow it. Personally I support them in not offering any, but if that's your cup of tea, the other reviewer is correct. read more

Very friendly staff and the food was good; the buffet style breakfast and the chicken cordon bleu dinner we ordered. We stayed here before (upstairs) and had a good experience, which is why we returned. Unfortunately our room this time was on the main level close to the front desk. It was difficult to enjoy a nice getaway with hearing every conversation at the front desk. The amount of noise coming from the people upstairs lasted most of the night. We could hear them moving around, hear them talking, hear their tv, and whatever other noises. It was by far the worst night we've ever had staying in a hotel. Choose a room on the top floor to really enjoy this place. read more

My husband surprised me with stay for our anniversary and we were both very happy. We stayed in the Romeo & Juliet suite and loved the room. Large jetted tub, fireplace and balcony. Very romantic. This place is filthy! I heard it has new owners! We walked in and noticed filthy vents that were black from dust. She checked us in and pointed us to our room. Why she didn't show us into our room we wondered, joke was on us! Our room was dirty there was pubic hair in our tub along with mold growing out of the filter! The toilet had stains on it including pees stains all around the floor! Dust bunnies everwhere! We carefully pulled back the comforter and notice several stains all over it!! We cringed! I hate to think what a black light would reveal! This place is filthy. We told her we weren't staying here and that we wanted a refund! She asked why, i said the room was filthy. She said that wasn't a good enough excuse! Are you kidding! We left and we feel cheated!!! The girl that was the receptionist pretended to not be the owner! My husband and I had been regular patrons of the Castle Creek Inn for about 10 years for birthdays and anniversaries and quick get a ways, and we had always enjoyed our stays. Our last visit however left us very dissatisfied. My husband and I were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and wanted to stay here to revisit one of our favorite local places that had come to have meaning in our marriage. We had not been here or to any B&B for close to 5 years due to my husband being diagnosed with Celiacs. After reading reviews that said that the staff was careful with dietary restrictions I decided to call and see if the same arrangements could be made for us. The woman whom I spoke to said that they could substitute gluten free options easily, assured me that they had done it all before, and insisted that their gluten free breakfasts were just as elaborate as their regular breakfasts. During our stay things quickly went from bad to worse. I had requested the romance package be set up on the day of our anniversary however when we arrived and checked in, the package was already in our room (2 days before our anniversary). Not that big of a deal. But then other little issues started to pile up. The sink in our bedroom would not drain. Our fireplace (the one means for heat in the room) sounded as though it was going to blow up when turned on and rattled incessantly making it impossible to talk, watch T.V, or sleep. Our first morning there we were awoken before 8 am to the sound of shoveling right outside our window. Again, these things may seem inconsequential, however I feel that what you are paying for when you stay at the Castle Creek Inn is the experience...the attention to the details that you wouldn't get at a hotel or motel. And each of these small details made the Inn feel very much like a cheap motel that cares very little for their customers. We decided we would talk to the staff after breakfast and hoped that breakfast would at least make us feel a little better about all the other disappointments. Breakfast, however, turned out to be the straw that broke the camels back. Even though they confirmed (without any prompting from us) that we had the gluten ALLERGY they still brought my husbands breakfast out with the bread, and when my husband said that he couldn't have the bread because he was Celiac, all they did was take the bread off. When he said he still couldn't have what was on the plate because of the bread crumbs, they seemed very confused as if they didn't know what they were going to feed him then. After the staff member left, another came out and asked what if he could have eggs and red potatoes and bell peppers and sausage and cheese. My husband said yes, all those were fine and clarified what his allergy was and we thought his breakfast would entail all they had asked about. What they brought out was just sad. My breakfast consisted of waffles with blueberries and scrambled eggs and sausage, in addition to the fruit and bread plate they had brought out at the beginning. Not only did my husband have to wait twice as long for any food to be brought back out, his breakfast only consisted of scrambled eggs (less than the size of my fist), a single sausage patty (smaller than the size of my palm), and a few grapes and kiwi. Which left us wondering why they would ask about other food items if they never intended to offer them??? Yet another detail that they failed to deliver on. When we attempted to address each issue with the staff, the woman did seem very sincere in her apology that things were going so badly. When she spoke with the manager or owner or whomever she spoke with, it was evident that person did not care in the least. We were merely a dollar amount to her, a profit to be made, and that is all. The only options provided us was to leave for several hours while they attempted to fix the fireplace, and they weren't even sure that they would be able to fix it, or to move to another room for one night to get a break from the noise and then come back to the same room for our remaining 2 nights. There was no attempt to compensate for their obvious lack of maintenance of their property (sink and fireplace) and absolutely no apologies for the breakfast disappointment. Sadly, this once beautiful B&B Inn that had provided memories and a pleasant experience previously, has degraded to a sloppy motel that cares more about your money than it does about you. We will not be returning ever. read more
