What's not to love about STS? We have one child here and she absolutely loves it. Our other…read morechildren will be going here when they get a little older, so that's how much we appreciate what our children get (and will get) from the school. It's a small school, but that's great for feeling known. It's easy to feel like staff cares about the children. Rigorous education - there is such a good push for a solid educational foundation. We felt like the pacing was good whereby it didn't feel like too much time was ever spent on any one lesson. I found myself amazed at times with what my daughter had picked up in school. Small class size - I guess this can be a pro or a con depending on what you're looking for. I really appreciate the small class size because it felt like extra attention would be given to the students. The small size lends itself to the feeling that the teachers can really identify any areas where the students might be falling behind. In fact, our child had been needing some extra help from us in a certain area and the teacher was quick to identify it to us so that we could take action. I really liked that. After-school curriculars - it seems like a nice blend of offerings throughout the school year to accommodate a lot of interests. Drama and after-school sports class always seemed to be popular. Safety - even though the school is right off Pico, the school really feels safe and secure. They have a good system to keep track of the children and solid gates and doors. During Covid, they really kept a good system for keeping the kids safe. There was weekly testing and great response times when there were positive cases. Tuition - the cost does go up each year, but it feels manageable and in line with costs that increase in all other areas of life these days. No complaints there. There are tuition discounts when you become a member of the church. Playground - while there isn't playground, the kids seem to really enjoy the blacktop area. They can run around and play games. They can also play basketball and volleyball. In the end, we are really happy that we chose St Timothy. It's been a great experience thus far and we look forward to more years here.

With 3 different camps under way, we were amazed at how well they met the needs of our young camper. Every week dove deep into a specific topic, detailing a wide variety of hands-on activities that kept our chlid engaged, curious, and excited to learn. The entire process--from registration to drop-off--was easy and stress-free. The staff were patient, and truly dedicated to fostering a love of learning. I was impressed also at the safety measures and attentive to details of the organization, this must be from years of experience. The best part is also having to run into friends by surprise in the same camp during the same week. We will keep Asteme in our enrichment corridor for camps, holiday day-camps, and regular enrichment courses during the year. Thank you!

The school founder, Allan has created a community in which students, parents and teachers support each other. Special recognition to Hogan, Angel, and Jordan for the extended commitment to educating children. It's wonderful to be able to send our children to school, knowing that they will be safe, inspired to learn and thrive. My only complaint is that I didn't discover them earlier! My children's complaints are that their school year is not longer! (They followed the private school calendar, which is shorter than the LAUSD calendar). The school and the teachers are true gems.

Beginning with Madame Haustete, the head of the school, all of the teachers, supervisors, and staff are just the best of the best. It is a nurturing, loving environment paired with a structured yet fun approach to learning. Half of the children's day is taught in French and the other half is in English. We are not French and my son spoke no French when he started and he is now well on his way to being fluent in just one school year. The supervisors and security greet you and your child by name every morning and it is a safe, happy place that my son looked forward to going to every single day. He cannot wait to start first grade in the fall and he says almost on a weekly basis that his school is the best. The lunch provided is prepared by chefs daily and is healthy and balanced - the menu is gourmet! The events throughout the year are so special and the school is very independent meaning parents have the opportunity to volunteer but they are not asking for donations and an excessive amount of your time (like many other private schools that directly ask/demand for donations during the interview process - yuck!) Le Lycee is focused on the well being and education of the children and it shows. It is a diverse group of families that are grounded and it's not about who has what. Everyone is there for the same reason which is to enrich their child with a balanced approach to learning. I am the biggest champion of Madame Haustete and the entire staff at Le Lycee and I'm so grateful my son will be continuing his education at such a wonderful school. Thank you to everyone who made his first year of school truly magical!
