Many of the exhibits have been donated by local fishermen who have caught the fish in their nets. A very interesting place to visit for young and old. Good parking nearby. The films shown here range from art house to blockbuster - there's usually something to interest most people each week. I love the cosiness of it, although the seats can get a little uncomfortable after a while (if you have a sensitive back, I suggest taking a cushion to be on the safe side!) I love this cinema and heartily recommend it to anyone who comes to the Old Town.

As the name suggests, it is concerned with shipwrecks, excavations, and other artefacts rescued from the sea near Hastings. It's not quite as tiny as the Fishermen's Museum, but also free of charge. Don't expect to spend more than half an hour (at most) in this place, but when you're in Hastings anyway you should drop by.

It has now been made over as a local arts venue and theatre which is a really great addition to thee seafront. The Georgian church building is over 175 years old and grade 2 listed. It was designed i think by Joseph Kaye for the earl of Chichester. It has a circular auditorium so really good acoustics It reopened in 1997. i have only attende church services and once for cinema as I no longer live in the town, but it is well worth keeping an eye on.

The food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the cafe has pretty nice decoration and furnishing. The staff are generally pretty friendly and helpful, happy to help out by giving directions and offering advice to hapless tourists, of which there are many during the summer months. It's much less busy during Autumn and Winter (as you'd expect in a seaside resort town).
