However, Took him on a Friday for a consultation they told us full mouth X-rays and then extract what needed to be taken out. Again. So far so good. Then tell me that they have an opening on Monday for surgery and they have an opening in a few weeks. We said let's wait the few weeks because then we can take the day off work and be with him. Pre plan. They said OK then came back a few minutes later and started pushing for the Monday appt. Needs done NOW !!! So I said ok. We can do that even if we have to call every we know to see if we can get a drop off and pickup because WE WORK! They basically said well it needs done and you need to do it. So I am now not feeling comfortable at all with the pushback. Then they left our door open and I hear them talking about the amazing vacation that the Dr is going on and now I feel like my dog is her vacation spending money. They come back in and then proceed to tell us that they will do his blood work AFTER HE IS SEDATED. I asked several times if they wanted to draw it while we were there and they said nope we will do it Monday. We scheduled and left but on the way home I just had this horrible gut feeling so we got home and I called and told them no he is not coming on Monday and we will call to reschedule. I decided on a second opinion. Went to another vet and they required blood work with in 4 weeks of surgery. They booked out a long time so he went back about 2 weeks before surgery. They did a blood test and called me 24 hours later and told me that we needed to cancel the surgery. My dogs thyroid was off the charts and if we attempted surgery at that time he would have probably died on the table !!! They started him on thyroid medication and then retested him a month later and found out that he was then good for surgery. He did fantastic and is alive today because we went to a vet that actually cared more about my dog than my wallet! oh and the other vet we went to was $200 the cheaper than this joke of a " caring vet ". That would have killed my pet. They were charging for a syringe $25 you can buy a pack of 200 for under $10 extractions are charged by the minute! So if they work slower they make more with anesthesia and the actual extractions. Look I get that getting the education is expensive and their time is worth it but it made me fell like if they want to add a new addition on their house that tooth is gonna take 15 minutes to extract vs the actual 3 min that it really takes.

They did blood tests and ultimately determined he was not going to last too much longer without suffering. They helped me through this awful process and were nothing short of kind, understanding, empathic and supportive for both my kitty and us when we returned a few days later. Thank you all for your kindness.

The staff - from receptionist, to techs, to the doc himself - were all kind, on-the-ball, and professional. The place was booked up full, but there was only a 4 minute wait. I was really impressed with the tech; she explained the treatment until I really understood. The vet gave me three distinct options and explained the pros and cons of each. I was impressed with the staff; they were careful and gentle with my dog. The building wasn't too fancy - but it was clean and there was lots of parking. The cost was less than I was expecting and definitely in the "reasonable" range. After only one trip it's hard to recommend a vet, but my first experience was a good one.

I am not usually one to leave long reviews, but please read this…read more Two weeks ago I found a small kitten on the road alone, so we brought him home. Due to the fact that I have two other cats I needed to get him into the vet as soon as possible, but it was almost 9 by the time I got home so I had to wait until the next day before I could try to get him into the vet. The next morning I called around and no one was taking new patients/was already booked. My sister told me about this vet as she had just had an appointment with her, and so I went ahead and made an appointment for 2:30 pm the next day. When I pulled in I was a little lost as I did not know which building the vet was in, and then I saw the sign and realized it was in a run down horse trailer, because I didn't really have any other options I went into the appointment. As soon as I walked in the staff took him from me and started talking to themselves, not telling me anything. She checked him for flees and gave him deworming medication and pretty much pushed him back into my arms to take a phone call. When I asked her if he was healthy and good to go around my other cats she said that he should come back in 10 days for another treatment and he would be clear by then. I wasn't really happy with that answer due to the fact that I knew that he should have had some form of bloodwork done to check for feline leukemia, but I suppose she does not have the equipment to do bloodwork. We ended up spending $65 for a 5 minute appointment. As I was walking out the next customer was coming in and that's when I realized that is why everything was being rushed. Four days later my grandmother was watching Django and called me and said that he was acting very strange. I was over in Ohio and got to her house as soon as I could. He was throwing up and unresponsive. Which was odd because not even 3 hours earlier he was playing. We rushed him down to Pittsburgh to the animal hospital where we were told that he was having seizures and that we had the choice to put him down or keep him on life support for $1,000 a day. We ended up having to put him down at 4 weeks old due to a genetic condition that could have been found by doing a simple blood test. I am in no way blaming this vet, but for saying that he was perfectly healthy was not true because she lacks the basic equipment of a veterinarian I had to put him down without knowing it was coming to make it as comfortable as I could for him.

I first met the team at Creekside Vet as their internet and phone service provider. During those…read morevisits, I quickly realized this wasn't your typical veterinary office. I've been to other local vets like Rainbow Vet at Brady's Run and even Apple Grove, but the level of care and compassion I saw from the Creekside staff was truly different. As a local resident, my family and I were honestly tired of big vet offices that seemed to outgrow their clients, too many patients, impossible to get appointments, and that personal touch just wasn't there anymore. After seeing how Creekside operated, we decided to bring our dogs in. After our first appointment, we were not disappointed. My wife even said we were treated like royalty both us and our dogs. At that first visit, they discovered a large lump on our 14-year-old dog's liver. What stood out most was their approach. There was no pressure for unnecessary procedures, no guilt about costs, and no pushing invasive testing. Everything was clearly explained, including options and pricing. Their honesty and compassion meant everything to us. I truly believe the care they gave helped our dog live longer than she otherwise would have. Recently, our dog took a turn for the worse. Creekside got us in right away. Even when things were looking bleak and we weren't ready to give up just yet, they supported us and helped us try one last "Hail Mary." Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, and almost a week later our pup couldn't stand or lift her head. We knew this was the end and we didn't want her to suffer anymore. My wife called creekside to see if we can get her in ASAP, but they were already booked. When we explained the situation, they made room for us. When they walked into the room, there were tears in their eyes. They genuinely cared, not just about our dog, but about us too. They gave her the most peaceful, loving send-off we could have asked for and gave my wife, who has had this dog since high school, all the time she needed to say goodbye. Even with a full schedule, they never rushed us. I truly cannot say enough about Creekside Vet. They are down-to-earth, compassionate, and exactly what you hope for in a neighborhood veterinary office. We are so grateful for everything they've done for our family. If you're in the area and looking for a vet who truly cares, I can't recommend them enough.

They offered us Prednisone to help shrink the tumor and to give us a little time. They sent her home in a two handled harness and told me she would need it the rest of her life. A friend of mine asked if I would want to take her to Dr Maro in PA. She described her as one of the Top Ten Vets in the Country. She was right! She offered a combination of Western med and more importantly Holistic medicine. Her holistic approach saved my girl. Unfortunately we r a little over two years later and she has a new tumor in a new place. It started causing seizures. Again we came to see Dr Maro to see if she can perform another miracle. I only regret not coming sooner. Maybe it would have been caught early. I want to respond to some bad reviews on this site. In my view they were mainly written over cost. You must remember this is a Holistic vet. Look at her like you would a cancer specialist. They cost more because of the level of education they have gone through. They not only learned western medicine but holistic as well. There are not many like them around and the treatments they offer you work, but it is a different approach than Western medicine. I've learned so much with Sophie's illness I try to share what I learned. Do NOT vaccinate your pet every year because a vet told you to. They may not need it and you're putting your loved one at risk. Dont feed grocery store food or anything that starts with meat by products in their ingredients. Food can kill them. Maybe not today but maybe in 2,3,4 etc years. It is NOT good healthy food just because you pay more. Do the research if you love your pet as I do! Look into those vaccine's and flea meds. Toxic! There r holistic products that work just as well and will not give them cancer or brain tumors. Every vet has a different education just like our Doctors. Like everything there can be good or bad vets. Dr Maro and her staff are the best of the best. Up to date on new treatments that work. If you need a miracle please go see her! I am just a loving mom of the BEST fur baby I have ever had! I would do anything to save her life. I've giving her the best chance I can by following Dr Maros advice, wisdom and knowledge! In the end I will know I did everything that I could for my baby!

Dr. Maro and her staff were great (quick, efficient, no delays in treating her pain and placing an IV). They updated us every step of the way on everything from costs to her condition. Dr. Analeu performed an ultrasound and Dr. Jones took over (the following day) on my grand-dog's care until she was able to come home.
