Unfortunately, my experience with my senior cat has completely changed my opinion of this practice. I brought my cat in because he was losing weight. I was told he had hyperthyroidism and early signs of kidney disease. They also said his white blood cell count was high and prescribed an antibiotic, which I strongly believe contributed to his death. They noted that he was dehydrated but never offered any treatment or guidance to help get him hydrated. I also expressed concern that he was making a strange noise while eating. This did not seem to concern them. I brought him in on a Monday. On Wednesday when I picked up the antibiotic, I took a video of him eating and sent it to the office, asking if there was a special food or anything else I could do to help him. I was told they would call me back. Not only did that call never come, they never even looked at the video. My cat passed away on Friday--the day after starting the antibiotic. I took him to an emergency vet that day, and they were very unimpressed with the care my cat had received at this clinic. I was told that his death could have been prevented. I am devastated by this loss and extremely disappointed in the lack of urgency, communication, and follow-through. I am removing all of my animals from this vet and will never return.

Even when they agree that it is probably urgent and the pet needs immediate care. With callous indifference you will be told, "Sorry, we have no available appointments today. Take him to an ER." Gee, thanks. There is no ER within a reasonable distance, so we had to drive our hysterical, hurting, shrieking cat for 45 minutes to be cared for by other people. This is so wrong. A place that calls itself a hospital should be there for sick and hurting patients, and make the time, no matter how it might affect lunch breaks or whatever.
