Seems like a very genuine person and very involved in the community. He's doing really cool things with his business and we're happy to support them now. The gentleman that does the grilling (can't remember his name) deserves an award for his tenderloin. It was fantastic! Seasoned to perfection, fresh, crispy... one of the best I've had in a long time. The tenderloin salad was SO good. My husband really enjoyed hanging out and talking with him as well. The woman in the kitchen (Anna I believe?)... SO SWEET! She brought us some homemade egg rolls to sample as we were leaving and they were absolutely DELICIOUS. The plum sauce was such a good touch and the ginger inside stood out and tasted amazing. The meat was very flavorful, the veggies inside were perfect, and the outside was crispy. I could easily stop once a week for her egg rolls... TOP NOTCH! The hang-out spot out back is cool! We love that it's nothing "fancy", it's like hanging out in a friend's back yard and we were able to park our SxS out back too. Everyone was chatty and happy to be there. It's pretty well known that Wawa only recently entered the Indiana market. What started as a New Jersey iron foundry in 1803, became a dairy processing plant in 1902, and then opened as a food market in 1964, is now a 750-strong chain of convenience stores with a strong presence in six states and a growing presence in others (including Indiana). Why is Wawa beloved? friendly employees. One-stop shopping for gas, coffee, and food. While this was really within the first 24 hours of being open, it was noticeably clean and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. Wawa offers fuel and EV charging. Wawa has a stunning amount of coffee options and I definitely tried their refreshers/rechargers. Dragon Burst is an absolute winner. Wawa has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options and the menu is surprisingly comprehensive. You can get a biscuit sandwich starting at $2.49 - lower than a ton of fast food joints (I'm looking at you, Hardee's). While gas stations/convenience stores are often known for their unhealthy foods, Wawa has quite a few healthy options. There's also a lot of baked goods - donuts, brownies, muffins, and even soft pretzels. I tried the donuts. Yum. I was pleased with accessibility features. I also noticed an accessibility statement on their website that I found pleasing. This was a first visit and it was unexpected. So, no photos. I was rushing to a conference and primarily looking for a snack and directions. I received both from friendly employees in a warm, winning, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. I don't go to Plainfield a ton, however, there's no doubt I'd stop back here when I'm in the area. While I still think the idea of a beloved gas station/convenience store is a little weird, There's an awful lot to love about Wawa.

A bank of gumball machines dispense gumballs, Good & Plenties and a host of other candies (I guess you can't call it penny candy anymore). I even saw Necco and Slo Poke candies. I purchased a chocolate candy bar and a couple of candy necklaces for my granddaughters. The clerk was super friendly and gave me a loyalty card to earn a $5 reward after six visits. They offer U-pick apples & Pumpkins or if you're in a hurry they're ready to grab from the red barn. Pumpkins are super reasonably priced at $.40 a Lb or pie pumpkins for $3. The concession stand is open on Saturday & Sunday. I love the fried biscuits with apple butter & of course you must get the apple cider slushies!! I don't remember seeing it prior, but they had apple cobbler warmed up with ice cream, delicious! I just love this place so much!
