Had another fantastic birthday celebration here at HH Bee-Stro. The owner and our waitress were so kind and welcoming...making sure all of our questions were answered about the menu. We all loved our entrees, and the dessert sampler was just the right size for 4 of us to share. The birthday girl even got her food served on a special plate! Did I mention those rolls?! Just like I remembered from my school lunch days...except better!! I've said it before, but the beauty of this small venue is just amazing. The Lohrman family puts out some of the most unique and flavorful options on a menu as anywhere. We do t get out to the Bee-stro often enough. But it is always the best comfort food with super-friendly and caring service. Do not let the steep driveway deter you from going. It's easy access to get inside their wonderful dining room. It's relaxing. We also have enjoyed the "Heat and Eat" frozen dinners. These aren't cheap TV dinners. Definitely all food has elevated flavors. read more

Everything is great about this place. Food is amazing, people are friendly with excellent service. They even have an area with local items to buy such as cookbooks, Tshirts, etc. The place is located in a lovely setting. I have used their own honey at home and it is wonderful! Schedules and such have held me and mom back from getting here but we finally did!!!! Soooo good! Such a comfy cozy setting. The honey in the food is felt through the decor of the restaurant. Their menu changes weekly and they are only open on the weekends. They are moving to a new building/house in 2022 with more space. (I can't wait to see the views there.) The restaurant is a converted house and owners Jodi and Andy were just as welcoming and warm as family. The food was delicious and fresh and the servers were sweet and attentive. The menu rotates weekly depending on the best ingredients available and the creativity of the owners. Even the salad dressings and desserts are made in-house! What happens when Chicago foodies find themselves in Brazil, Indiana? They must go to Honeysuckle Hill Bee-stro! Honeysuckle Hill is only open on Fridays and Saturdays and is a true gem. The restaurant is located amidst the cornfields of Indiana on the owner's family property, which of course, includes a bee farm. The dining room is very quaint and nicely appointed with an Indiana and bee theme. You can get a sneak peek of the desserts on the counter, so you know how much room to leave yourself! There are also a variety of goods for sale, like honey and homemade salad dressings that you know are on demand from customers! We were there on a busy night, but the restaurant didn't feel crowded and we were certainly not rushed at all. The food is all made from scratch from fresh local ingredients and is advertised as "just like your grandma used to make." I didn't have this kind of grandma, but WOW do I wish I did! The menu changes weekly and all entrees come with soup (I got tomato artichoke, which was outstanding) or salad (husband gave it two thumbs up, especially the homemade salad dressing) and fresh made bread with homemade honey butter. We really enjoyed the ordering system where you check off what you would like to order from a very pretty paper menu. We got the pot roast and chicken breasts and ordered different sides (you get to choose two) to try a bit of everything. The food was absolutely delicious across the board and our only problem was my hoarding of the creamy corn, which was the best I have ever eaten. Ever. Dessert was hard to choose, but we went with a slice of lemon eclair and honey graham ice cream, making the tough choice to forego the unbelievable looking s'mores cake on display. Truly a perfect country meal from start to finish. Our server was helpful and as pleasant as the restaurant she works in and suggested we take a walk around the property when we finished our meal. Loved my experience last night. Great menu with locally sourced ingredients that changes every week. Beautiful setting and love that you can opt in for a taste of all the entrees. Great for those that are indecisive. The owners go above and beyond to make sure your meal is up to your expectations. Loved the dessert selection and all their homemade salad dressings. I took my family today to Honeysuckle Hill Bee-stro for supper. I had been hearing good reviews about this restaurant so we tried it and we loved it. It is something a little different. All the food is homemade and freshly prepared. Most of their dishes have honey as an ingredient. The family who owns the restaurant raises bees and use their honey in the restaurant. The food was very good. The service was good and friendly. The restaurant was clean. It was a little pricey but sometimes you get what you pay for. Me and my family will be regulars. read more

Once we figured out where the place was, it was a great experience. They need more signage and advertising, I think, for such an obscure location. Food was great, for what there was of it. They have a very interesting gift shop, too, complete with a look-in glass to a bee hive. The only thing keeping it from 4-5 stars was food portions vs. price. We were served what amounted to a child's plate - literally. For a grown man, the portion needed to be doubled. Even the lady at the table behind us was commenting that she was going to have to go somewhere else and get some more to eat. We left hungry, after spending nearly $50 for two people. When we commented about this, we weren't offered anything. Still, the food was good, but the price vs. quantity is the real killer for them. read more

If you want great home-cooked food, this is your place. Not a huge menu, but everything is very good. I recommend the bite-size sample plate, which lets you try all entrees and sides. They offer the same for dessert, but you'll want to share or you'll be stuffed. Excellent, unique bread with honey butter. Be sure to try the ice cream.
