Despite other orchards/pumpkin patches absolutely price gouging families, Anderson Orchard remains the same and reasonably priced. Hours for September and October: 8am-8pm (or dark) We drove from Noblesville, I was so happy they were still open! Plenty to do for the kids, playground, bounce houses, straw pile, photo ops. They offer U-pick apples & Pumpkins or if you're in a hurry they're ready to grab from the red barn. Pumpkins are super reasonably priced at $.40 a Lb or pie pumpkins for $3. The concession stand is open on Saturday & Sunday. I love the fried biscuits with apple butter & of course you must get the apple cider slushies!! I don't remember seeing it prior, but they had apple cobbler warmed up with ice cream, delicious! I just love this place so much! This is a small venue that is an apple orchard that has u-pick as well as a market. They have other u-pick produce as well.. when we went today there was a lot of people and a small festival going on with pumpkins and a petting zoo and a playground area along with food trucks and various items for sale. It was nice that they didn't charge to come to the grounds and pay just to be there. Would definitely come again. read more

This was my first time coming to this orchard, our plan was to pick apples but since we came in October we figured that it would be picked over and it sure was! We managed to find a few good ones but the trees were pretty empty. There are plenty of picturesque areas and fun family activities such as the petting zoo, playground area and pumpkin areas. We went on a fall weekend and it was a great time. We had the family meet us there and we were able to pick apples, eat treats, drink cider and they even had a food truck (DELICIOUS) as well as a petting zoo. For the kids they had a nice play area. Everyone was friendly and seemed to be having a great time. There were several tables just outside the store by the concession area. Everyone was welcome, there were families, couples, individuals and many cultures represented. It was just a really nice day. I'll definitely return next fall. read more

First they do not serve food. They sell produce, pumpkin rolls, canned goods, & popcorn to be popped. The produce they sell is great. I buy bushels of beans to can. I also buy tomatoes to can. Autumn in Indiana isn't complete without our annual trip to Anderson Orchard. It's gained in popularity over the years so expect to wait a bit for parking on nice weather weekend days. We love it for the chance to drive through the orchard to pick out our own apples and enjoy the beautiful views. They also have u-pick pumpkins and raspberries. 3 generations of my family have me still do enjoy this orchard. It is a special place that is perfect for a stop in to get seasonal produce or spend the day. Their website will keep you clued in to what they have available and there is pond with picnic spots around. Playground for the kiddos and an awesome snack bar. We went yesterday (9/25) to the apple orchard cause they were also having a festival and craft fair. I was so impressed by how big this orchard was and how many apple trees they had. Such a good selection even with the busy weekend. We had biscuits and apple butter & apple pie with ice cream to snack on &&&& an apple cider slushee and all of it was so good, especially the apple pie and homemade ice cream. So yummy! So much fun was had at Anderson Orchard! I try to get to the orchard every year, but this was my first time coming to Anderson. It was a beautiful fall day and perfect for apple picking. All of the tree rows were marked with the type of apple and the process was so easy. Just grab a bag and go to town. My only complaint was the cars rolling through. I wish they just allowed people to walk or roped it off somehow. The line to buy Carmel apples was very long but moved really quickly. The Carmel was delicious and really hit the spot. They also have amazing apple cider slushies. There was a little playground for younger kids and a small area to buy pre-made food and apple cider. read more

I visited during the Crafts Fair weekend 2021. Plenty of people, kids having fun. They had a 10 ft high stack of hay bails. There were over 20 craft stalls. Pretty good for a post-Covid year. Still lots of apples on trees for picking. All in all a good day trip. read more

It was such a beautiful turn out for the craft fair. But I was highly disappointed in the food concession stand. The slushy machine was broke and they only had warm temp apple cider in 85 degree weather. Also, the ice cream they served with the apple turnover was soupy. When I asked for a new turnover because they had given me soup on top of my ice cream the lady was upset. The park had tons of open trash cans with bees swarming. The slide was broken. Have been going to Anderson Apple Orchard for many years since I was a little girl and have always had very pleasant experiences. Have some of the happiest memories and time spent with my family here. Sadly, today's visit left a bitter taste in my mouth and a lot to desire from a costumer service aspect. Being told "I don't know what YOU people think but this is not a park it's a business," left me wondering who "you people" is. Last I checked we were all human beings and deserve the same respect. It's quite disappointing especially coming from an older gentleman whom any one would think should have better manners and customer service. Anderson Orchard is hands down the best apple orchard in Indy. My favorite part is that the orchard is so big, you can drive your car right in! It would be so much fun to pack a picnic and spend the afternoon in the row with your family or as a fun date! They have every kind of apple you could ever want and we had a great time picking a peck of our own. There is also a huge selection of pumpkins and gourds in every size and color you could ever want. The farm store has apple cider, apple butter, pumpkin rolls, jelly, salsa, fresh produce from the farm, and more. On the weekends there is a food stand with baked goods like biscuits with apple butter, apple turnovers, elephant ears, caramel apples, and hot dogs. Apples, pumpkins, cider, chestnuts, pumpkin rolls!There are all sorts of goodies at Anderson Orchard. I like that you can drive right in without a fee and meander through the fields. My family has gone here for years, and I have many fond memories here of climbing up the trees and running amuck. They used to give you apple picking sticks when you drive up, but the last couple times I went, that's wasn't avail. I'm not sure if we didn't come in early enough to get them or they stopped doing it. But alas, I think it's worth it nonetheless. I was able to get a gigantic bag of apples for $18. Lovely place. Went on Sunday morning and was busy but not overly crowded. You can drive your car through the orchard which was terrific ( and it's HUGE). Lots of apple varieties to chose from. Staff was friendly and all masked. Many visitors wore masks too when in the store. The store had lots of other veggies to buy too and some Jams etc. Apples are delicious too! read more

I have been going to Anderson's for years and each time is just as fun as the last. Most recently I went with a friend, mostly for the purpose of getting foods at their concession. We got all of our favorites: an elephant ear, an apple turnover, and apple cider slushies. They were amazing as always. The prices are still very reasonable for the amount of food they give you too. The line was a little long, but their set up kept it moving at a good pace. Besides the food, there was a nice place for children to play, tons of farm fresh produce to buy and, of course, apple picking. They also have U-Pick raspberries which has been fun in years past too. They also had tons of fun fall decorations. Some of my personal favorites were the mini and white pumpkins, the Indian corn and the mini straw bales. To my surprise, parking was very easy. Even though we went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, there was tons of parking available. As for seating to eat your food, it was a little hard to find a table, but we got lucky and got our food just as a group was leaving. They weren't very strict on masks in the outdoor spaces but were pretty good about enforcing them by the concession and in the store sections. read more

Anderson's is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year! I can't imagine how many jars of apple butter, jugs of apple cider, and apples that have been made and picked in those 50 years! If you're suffering from, "where can I find a pumpkin roll in July" symptoms have no fear Anderson's has them! They have 3 kinds! Chocolate, red velvet and pumpkin. Green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions are all available. Cantaloupe, blackberries, blueberries, and peaches were also available. The apple cider slushies are so good and at a great price. For $2 you can get a large! One thing that is also good are the candles they sell. They smell great. Lots of scents to choose from. Come fall you have to try the apple butter with the fresh biscuits. They were meant to be. This is a nice local orchard that's withstood the test of time and given customers quality products to take home. read more

We arrived at Anderson Orchard and were greeted by a parking attendant. Parking was easy and convenient and free! We went to the playground which was nice and clean. Plenty of swings for the big kids and babies! The playground equipment was nice and well maintained. Plenty of photo ops w pumpkins and flowers. Very beautiful grounds. The hayride was fabulous- long and worth the $3. This was a weekend where the Fall Festival was going on and I was pleased with how cheap it was as they don't charge admission!(unlike other costly fall festivals we have been too). Lucky for me, I can head south 20-30 minutes and arrive at a little slice of rural heaven known as Anderson Orchard where all of these things can be found in one stop. Hell, I even pulled over on the side of the road to pick daisies in the ditch. It was that perfect of a day. A few notes for your possible visit: -pumpkins are priced by weight -if you like acorn squash, it's cheap here: $1 -1/2 bushel: $6 -known for their cider slushies -some produce, cheese, pumpkin rolls and other goodies are available (oh, and caramel apples, duh) -why not the 5th start? All I can say is: I can't wait to visit Anderson Orchard during the fall, because I can already tell that it is going to be awesome. (Oh, the apple picking and pumpkin choosing!) We visited today, during the middle of the summer, and went blueberry and red raspberry picking. The red raspberry bushes were a little sparse, but I think we came at the wrong time -- either too late in the season or too early. The blueberry bushes were overflowing, though, and the child we brought with us probably ate more than he put in his bucket (although, isn't that always the way with kids and u-pick joints?). The prices here are more than reasonable, and if you don't want to do the whole u-pick thing, you can pick up fresh fruits and vegetables at the farm stand. One of the great things about Anderson Orchard is that they carry Primitive Pleasures candles! I've been looking everywhere for these Indiana-made candles, and I finally found out that they are sold here. They're on a shelf in the farm stand, right near the jars of jams, fruit butters and marmalades. read more

I went to Anderson orchard on a very windy day. My experience was only average because of this, but I imagine if it were a warm day it'd be great!
