We had something in our walls. Thought it was a mouse, which happens occasionally I'm an old house. Started looking for a service after the noise didn't abate and the cat wasn't catching anything. Daniel answered right away and came out a couple of hours later. Did an interior inspection since the noise seemed to be in one spot. Of course the critter made no noise. Outside it was. He checked the area where we were hearing the sounds and couldn't find anything. Then he started on the roof our front. Found a raccoon hold by the gutter right away. Set the trap and we had our raccoon within ten hours. Daniel came out the next day to retrieve the raccoon and the trap and scheduled a time to come back to raccoon/critter proof the hole. I definitely recommend Catch A Critter and Daniel. Very responsive and incredibly knowledgeable. While I hope we never have any critters in the house again, I would not hesitate to call Daniel if we do! Definitely five out of five stars. read more

Called Catch A Critter after my daughter heard an animal scratching and banging in her chimney/fireplace. They came out went on the roof and said that there was evidence that the animal was just on the roof and assured her that there was no animal in her chimney-she continued to hear the noise until it stopped about a week later. Soon after she found an excessive amount of maggots and flies in and around her basement fireplace and there was an odd smell. She called out another company who removed a dead racoon from her chimney. Because the racoon was laying on the flue and there was no way to take it out though the fireplace, bricks needed to be removed from the chimney and it was removed from there. The cost of this service and the repair will be in excess of $2000. We called catch a critter after to tell them what occurred, they refused to accept any responsibility and should have at least refunded the money we paid to them. I would never recommend a company that will not stand by their service. read more

I WOULD GIVE THIS SCAMMING COMPANY 0 STARS! On January 29, 2026, I paid for wildlife removal services with the understanding that the issue at my home would be handled professionally and completely. Once I received my contract I sent Daniel W Hall (the owner) of $ 312payment via cash app. He came once to my home and placed the trap onto the balcony. I told him that where he placed the trap would not be able to collect the raccoons that are terrorizing my property. He then came back and tried to create a trap that immediately fell off once he left. I then called him back to express the unsafely of all of this (please keep in mind it is sharp wire falling onto my driveway and cars with kids in the home). He continually told me he was on other jobs till one day I finally thought the raccoon was trapped by getting stuck into the roof because there was no trap to catch it. I frantically called Daniel Hall to come and collect the raccoon that was hanging from my roof. He took 3-4 hours to come and obviously the raccoon was gone! He didn't even get out of the car. He then completely stopped communicating until I had another job there for him. Since then I have never heard from him again and the problem was never resolved. I made numerous attempts to follow up, both directly and through individuals associated with the business, who repeatedly assured me that I would receive a call back. On February 9th, 2026 I began my communications with Sandy. I expressed all safety concerns about this matter and urgency on finding a resolution. Sandy stated that this was a family operated business and Daniel Hall was the only one who was able to do the jobs. Although frustrated, I sympathized and gave them more time. Sandy, later stopped responding to me also. After leaving multiple phone calls so I get get this over with I was introduced to a third person named Joclyn. She was the only one with any time of business sense. She stated that this is not right and she will contact Daniel Hall for me. She too had stated that she would handle everything for me and I would receive a full refund. She also begged me not to leave a review yet I have not heard from her since March 19, 2026. Despite these assurances, I never received any response from anyone ultimately, and the service I paid for was never completed, alongside a breached contract. I have requested a refund multiple times due to the failure to fulfill the agreed-upon work, but those requests have also gone unanswered. At this point, I am left having paid for a service that was not delivered and have to hire a new company to complete the job. I have retained documentation of payment and all communication attempts. Due to the lack of response and resolution, I have begun taking further action to recover my funds. Due to his negligence this has displaced two families from their homes. But they wouldn't care because they are too busy enjoying stolen profits. If anyone else has had a similar experience with this company please reach out, I encourage you to document everything carefully and consider your options. We had a problem with a groundhog he's been around my neighbor and then decided when he couldn't stay anymore there he moving under my back porch. He was friendly never a problem with him it's just don't want to be going out your back porch and get startled by him they're sitting on your steps. If I didn't have my nieces dogs coming for a few days then another dog next week I do pet care I guess I would've let him stay around he was friendly not mean at all but having dogs come and maybe corner him would be massive fight. I called and was greeted by very friendly and helpful guy right away right from the start and they sent someone out within two hours to set a trap. " D " The technician so to speak that they sent out was fantastic he went over everything with me found that it was under my back porch and was very helpful and kind since he knew I was in apprehensive about where they would take the groundhog been a animal lover. He even had to come back twice because the groundhog was very smart and set the trap off but eventually the third time he went in so it was a matter of only barely 3 hours of two visits and then eventually he was caught and taken away to be relocated. I would recommend them highly if I could give them 10 stars I would they're actually coming back tomorrow to set up and fix a chimney cap that blew off the roof so I don't get any critters coming into the house if you need anything like this done give them a call. Before animal lovers throw stones at me for using a pest control service, let me say that I'm a vegan, I volunteer at an animal shelter, and I feed the wildlife in my backyard. But...I don't want any of creatures that belong outside getting inside. A few days ago I heard what sounded like cooing and scratching coming from my wood burning fireplace. It scared the bejesus out of me. I don't have doors on my fireplace so I fully expected whatever animal was in my chimney to crawl down and graze from my cats' bowls at some point. I gave the animal or animals a couple days to see if they'd just come inside temporarily because of a recent cold snap, but as the days passed and the noises got louder, I decided I needed to do something. (mainly for the sake of my pets, honestly) I called Catch a Critter (after watching their nicely produced ad on YouTube) and left a message. Within a few hours Daniel called me back and set up an afternoon appointment to come look at my problem. He and his coworker located a mother raccoon and two babies in my chimney. They were able to flush them out, put them in a cage, and whisk them off to be relocated. (I hope that's really the case, but if not, I'm still going to pretend that it is) They also installed a chimney cap to prevent other animals in my neighborhood from using my chimney as a place to raise their young. It wasn't cheap, but it's not like I could have done this myself. In under an hour this problem was taken care of and my chimney was fixed. For peace of mind, I think it's worth every penny. I wish there was a zero star review, and I wish I would have read these reviews before I hired this company. They came out and set traps for many animals in the attic of my rental property, and they did come back and check the traps. Then they quoted me a price to fix the areas where the animals were entering and asked for half the money up front since I lice out of state. I had to call a few weeks later to see when the work would be done, and they said they had all the supplies and were waiting for the weather to improve. When it did I called again - voicemail - no call back. I called and left messages 3 times a week with never a call back. I called the attourney general who tried to help me get me $755 back, and they had no luck. Complete rip off!!!! These guys are crooks. read more

PLEASE READ, Save your money!! I am not one to leave bad reviews but the service and un-professionalism by this local business needs to be made known to the public to avoid other innocent people getting ripped off by this so called business. The first sign should have been they screen their calls so you always have to leave a voicemail and then they call you back..... until they get their money......then they never return your calls. We had a raccoon problem in our attic so we hired this company. They tell you they will come out to check the traps every few days, which is a lie they don't. I didn't do a lot of research as this company was recommended to me and it was on Angie's list. I will never do that again. We cancelled the service prior to them catching anything and the company wouldn't call back regarding partial refund seeing they didn't catch the raccoon we paid them for and they didn't provide the service they promised. They basically came out to set the trap up, which they screwed to the roof, and left. We had to call them to get them to come out and reset the trap and they didn't come when they said they would. Very poor service, and virtually no calls back once they cashed that check. We called a trapping service called Avenger and within a couple days they caught the animal. They actually knew what they were doing, very professional and less than HALF THE PRICE. They found out where the raccoons were getting on the roof and set the trap up there. The best part is THEY ACTUALLY ANSWER THEIR PHONE. 1-800-641 PEST is their number. I do not work for Avenger and I did not get any perks for writing this. I am just trying to save people from the terrible experience of hiring "catch a critter" and give recognition to a local business "avenger" that provides excellent professional service for a much more reasonable price. read more
