I spent a lot of time looking at various photographers websites and more importantly their portfolios. I found a lot of sites with work that was good but I was looking for that one that had that spark! I found Capture the Moment less than 24 hours before my party. When I saw the portfolio of work on his website and facebook page, I knew this was the company I wanted to photograph my party. They were quick to reply to my email and were very great at discussing pricing and understanding my needs for the event. I was really lucky that they had the night of my party available. They drove an hour and 20 minutes to my location. We had agreed that there would be coverage for four hours. My guests kept commenting all night on the amount of pictures being taken. I was pleasantly surprised to learn later that 633 beautiful pictures were taken in that four hour time. That alone was amazing! Almost all of the other photogs that I spoke with in my search prior to the party, were never going to shoot that many. When my pictures were ready, I drove out to Capture the Moment and sat with them. For my initial viewing, Behrooz had all of the pictures put into segements from the party. He had the pictures set to music and they played across a very large projection screen. The presentation was almost as impressive as the actual photos. The skills of the two photographers are far and beyond what I could have dreamed of. Their are some in there that are very artistic and unique. All of my guests are truly mesmerized by the outcome of the pictures as I was. My engagement party is one of life's moments where you want it to be beautifully captured. Behrooz Badie and his team did that and more. I now have my pictures put together in a beautiful book which they laid out and put together. My night will one day be a distant memory but thanks to him, his team and talents, I have the photos and book to awlays refer to for remembering the night. One guest remarked: While many photographers taken dozens of shots (firing click after click), Ananda takes just a few - and nails it perfectly. When we first searched for wedding photographers, we'd exhausted Yelp queries. Many photographers were fully booked or didn't have our preferred style of photography, so we used an alternative site, where we'd found Ananda to stellar reviews across other websites. It turned out that Ananda didn't have a Yelp page since she moved to SF, so was a hidden gem for us. We loved her online portfolio of wedding photography - modern, elegant, simple, clean with stunning portraits that captured the moment. Only later did we learn that she was also a reporter with ABC10 in Sacramento. When needed, she is a powerhouse, able to organize our (disorganized!) relatives into key groupings for the portraits - and nailing the end result. Highlights: 1. Stunning results, even in suboptimal photography settings. Despite an indoor church wedding & cloudy SF day, we had radiant, brightly lit perfect groups of family & friend portraits, capturing pure joy (& no blinks!). Our own wedding portraits were taken on a very windy, cold day - yet we couldn't tell by looking at the final photos. Despite our indoor reception venue, Ananda & her husband captured the most memorable moments of our wedding & guests - often without us even noticing. 2. Request for same-weekend highlights. While we'd asked Ananda for 10-15 key family portraits for same-weekend turnaround, Ananda went above & beyond - even offering photos for our wedding evening slideshow (which we ultimately lacked time for). Ananda's same-weekend highlight photos were such a hit amongst our friends & family. 3. Responsiveness. Ananda was always responsive, from the first consultation call to day-of & post-wedding. We never lost confidence in her communications. 4. Additional help & support As we ran low on time prior to the wedding, Ananda & her husband were rocks in helping us take first look photos, while at times collecting our items & helping us get to our venue in time. I discussed what I was looking for with about five different photographers and decided upon Ananda for multiple reasons. I went through her portfolio and loved her natural style and attention to details that were important to each bride and groom. Walking up to our chosen proposal spot, I was initially worried because someone was sitting near where I was going to propose and would be in the shot. Turns out, it was Deeba making sure nobody else got in the area for the perfect proposal. He was so clandestine my fiancee had no idea anything was about to happen until I was on one knee.
