We stayed only one night but so wish we were able to stay longer. Absolutely beautiful views of Flagstaff Lake Camping sites are large and open amongst the ginormous trees! Fun to bike the campground and we even peddles minutes down to a local food truck called Maturi's Kitchen... yummy food! We had the the fried clams & Caprese samdwich read more

I found the map a little confusing and had a hard time finding the showers. Because the door to the shower is always closed (due to a sign) they were very musty smelling. But they were clean. I was with a big group so we were in a group site across the road. Wish there was at least a water supply there. Loved the beach and loved that there was a " dog beach" I would definitely come again. I'll just be more prepared for no water and flush toilets if I'm with a group. read more

This campground has large spread out sites in a natural red pine stand on the shore of Flagstaff Lake. They have a nice waterfront area with a floating dock you can jump from into the water. The reason for my poor review is they are building a new loop in the campground and part of that process they proceeded to drill a well 30 feet behind our campsite. They drilled from 8am to 6pm for two days and were still drilling the day we departed. This was drilling through bedrock, an artisanal well so it was incredibly loud. it echoed throughout the campground but because it was directly behind us the sound was deafening on our camp site. It drove everyone crazy, made everyone irritable, we couldn't talk to each other it was so loud, and we all ended up with headaches. And probably hearing loss. Staff at the campground would do nothing, they wouldn't move us and offered us no refund on our stay. Imagine planning to do such loud construction during a campground operating season! Ridiculous and damaging. read more

I have been to this camp ground once before and it was absolutely fantastic. Bathrooms were clean people where friendly. The beach is always well cleaned. And the staff is really amazing. Can't wait to come back this summer read more

This is the best campground I have been to. If you are looking for big private sites, on a lake, and without all the obnoxious resort style campground facilities, this is the place to go. My family has been going here for 50 years and I look forward to keep the tradition going. While not nestled near any city it is great for those looking to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There is plenty of hiking, atv-ing, fishing, swimming, and exploring in the area. The campsites are all dirt and gravel, surrounded by Norwegian pines I believe. There is all an area of trees separating each site to make them much more private than any resort style campground in southern Maine. The rates are very affordable and the vast majority have water and electricity hook up. There is three buildings that have multiple bathrooms and showers to use. All of which are cleaned daily. There is a small beach where you and go swimming or kayaking/canoeing from. I have never been disappointed here and look forward to going every summer. One point of advice would be to call and make a reservation as soon as you can as they book quite quickly. read more

This camp ground is the rudest camp ground I have ever been to. We were watched by staff the entire time for no reason. We were just sitting by our fire around noon time and two staff members came and harassed us. All anyone does is drink and smoke, not recommended for small children. I was very disappointed at how rude the staff are. read more

Great campground with reasonable prices for their spacious camp sites. Sites are not packed all in together like some other campgrounds. Sits right on Flagstaff lake for great kayaking or swimming. Best thing of all there are virtually no mosquitoes. read more

I had the weekend after July 4th reserved, reserved it on March 12th never received the email until May 17th (I assumed they were really busy with trying to open) with reservation dates for two separate trips saying my reservations was going to be cancelled if they didn't receive deposit which is understandable enough, ( a possible misunderstanding on my part, I thought it had to be paid for 10 days prior to reservation) but what I couldn't understand is why my reservation dates for July was switched from the weekend after the fourth to the weekend of the 19th biggest bummer of it all I was planning my daughters 5th birthday party up there which is on July 7th. I know what are reserved because I first called ask for rates and availability and was completely shocked the weekend after the 4th was opened. so I reserved it for 4 days hung up called my girlfriend and found she could only get Friday off and Monday off so I called Cathedral Pines back up and reserve the proper days. After I hung up I called my girlfriend back told her we are all set, told my 4 year old where she was having her birthday party when she got out of school and you should have seen her face light up. Now I got to watch it fall what a shame been camping there with my family my whole life minus the past 4 years my uncle's got a seasonal campsite up there my grandparents been camping there for over 20 years everyone in my family basically has been camping there are whole life. What a disappointment read more

Cathedral Pines Campground in Eustis, Maine, offers a picturesque and family-friendly camping experience right next to Flagstaff Lake. Having been a regular visitor for many years, my family's loyalty speaks volumes about the campground's charm. My wife's fond memories of coming here as a child further illustrate its lasting appeal. The campground features spacious sites, many equipped with electrical and water hookups, accommodating most campers comfortably. For those who prefer a more rustic experience, there are also non-hookup sites available. Multiple dumping stations are conveniently placed on the main campground road. The bathhouses are a highlight, with three facilities providing ample free hot showers. While two have recently been renovated, the third is in need of updates but still serves its purpose. Many campsites offer beautiful views of Flagstaff Lake and the Bigalow Mountain Range, enhancing the scenic appeal. Families will appreciate the two playgrounds--one for babies and another for older children--as well as the recreational hall and adult building. The rec hall is a hub of activity, featuring a pool table, a variety of games, and daily craft sessions for kids. The adult rec hall offers a ping pong table and a selection of books and puzzles. For those interested in water activities, kayaks and canoes are available for rent. The friendly and helpful staff add to the overall positive experience at Cathedral Pines Campground, making it a fantastic choice for both seasoned campers and newcomers alike. read more
