Nohona At Mililani Mauka - Nohona Entrance

    Nohona At Mililani Mauka

Back in 2003, while house hunting, we looked into purchasing a townhome at the Nohona at Mililani…read moreMauka. We were already living in Mililani (old Mililani) for a few years, but we were just renting. At the time, this was a brand new townhome complex being developed and built by Castle and Cooke Homes. Castle and Cooke Homes is the master developer of this whole area. This one is located on Ukuwai Street, right next to Mililani Mauka District Park and the Park and Ride. This townhome complex was one of top choices for our first home. It was just my husband and I at the time, so it would be the perfect starter home. We did a tour at their model homes with a realtor with Castle and Cooke. Janice was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. As first time home buyers, she really took the time to listen to what our needs were in finding the right home. In fact, the whole experience was a great one for both my husband and I. From our realtor, to the home design specialist, and then to our loan officer was also very pleasant and helpful with questions that we had throughout the process. There was something I really loved about the layout of the home. The home/living area sits on a one-car enclosed garage, so you don't have to deal with upstairs/downstairs neighbors and noise. I really liked that about this place. You still have to deal with sharing walls with your neighbor. There is an open layout as you walk up the stairs to the living area, open kitchen with an island separating the living room and kitchen. I believe that they had 1-3 bedroom options to choose from. At the end of our searching and touring of several homes, we ended up choosing a home from a neighboring town home complex, also being built at the time. Today, although we don't live there, we still get a chance to visit when we spend time with relatives who live there. Really nice place. The only bad thing about this place is that it's right next to the highway (H-2). It's high above on a raised area overlooking the highway, but I'm sure the sounds from vehicles passing by at high speeds can be a bit of a nuisance. So, if you're looking to rent or buy a town home in Mililani Mauka, and don't mind the noise from the highway too much, I'd definitely recommend looking into this place.

I like that I feel safe here and that it is centrally located. It would have been great here…read more However, I would move out immediately if I could because of the lawn service. I work and study at home, which is impossible to do when you have hours and hours of constant revving of lawn mowers every day. They also use a leaf blower, chasing leaves from one side to the other to collect almost nothing, yet it is just constant loud noise. When I have my baby nephew visiting, he can't get his naps because of the constant noise. Out of desperation, I had to close the windows, which means having to turn the AC on, which doubled our electricity bill. Another thing I find infuriating is their smoking underneath my windows. Having someone smoke around me is disturbing, but I am currently pregnant, which makes it even more unacceptable for me. We asked them to stop smoking underneath our window to which they said they don't smoke. I would love if the association or whoever is in charge would re-consider the frequency of having all these service done.

He is definitely the best around, and we couldn't be more happier with his quality workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail!!! We were initially referred to him through another one of our family members who hired him in the past and they raved about his quality of work! We met with Roger and immediately knew we could trust him with our home! He's professional, dependable, honest, and really takes the time to listen to what you want! His communication was great and he always updated us with emails, texts, and phone calls. He was always available when we had questions. Roger did an extension of our downstairs bathroom area, enclosed our downstairs living area, and he also renovated our entire kitchen and dining area. I loved the fact that he is very meticulous in his work and will make sure things are perfect and the way you want it! I also really appreciated how clean he kept the worksite and free from debris, especially with our toddler running around. Everything came out beautiful and exceeded our expectations!!! Thank you so much Roger for making our house a beautiful home!!!

At first, we were just looking to do a simple carport but quickly realized the potential of our property to expand it into a legacy property. Through countless visits at my home, we took each process of design one step at a time and made detailed modifications in "real time" on his three-dimensional design and drafting program where we could make "on the spot" modifications to our desire. The design process was inexpensive, and he made every aspect of construction easy to understand. Andrew worked tirelessly to ensure that the new home met all the Hawaii Building Codes and of course we got what wanted. He made sure that we were comfortable and understood every aspect of a "design build project". Fortunately, we were able to get a large enough Home Equity Line to cover the cost instead of getting a construction loan which made our project less expensive and totally flexible when making any on the spot modifications. We did our project as an "owner builder" with Andrew by my side every step of the way. Due to Covid-19 we did have a few supply hiccups, but I would say not anything abnormal when it comes to construction. Andrew was extremely patient and caring when it came to some of the more stressful portions of the construction process which we really appreciated. We spent many visits to Home Depot and Lowes selecting the best finishes we could afford. His keen eye and dedication ensured that quality control was in place especially at critical parts of the build like the layout of the foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing and setting of the car port posts so it fit just right. He had spent tireless hours planning, scheduling, managing, and overseeing the execution of top-quality construction. One thing that I was most impressed with is his accountability to take my calls, text's and responding to email communications. All in all, I feel that having him as our project manager made all the difference as he continually advocated and advised us on the best course of action to produce a top quality ~ 4,000 sq ft, 3 story, 7 bedroom, 5 bathroom home. For my wife and I, we never considered the cost of his service as we feel that he is worth every penny and would not have been able to do it without his expertise. Even till this day we both talk regularly as we consider both of us as friends. For anyone looking for a top quality & project manager I would look no further as he has made one of the most difficult aspects of real estate construction very smooth. Andrew has built us an incredible legacy property for our family for generations to come, please let Andrew know if you would like to see his work in person. Scott N.
