We opted to go with a few slices of cheese and a baguette, and it was so delicious. There is an overwhelming selection of cheese, and we really had no idea where to start selecting cheese to buy. The woman behind the counter picked two cheeses for us, a cow's milk and a sheep's milk cheese. Both were great and we finished them while walking around Brussels. Our lunch was a little pricey, but totally worth it, along with experience of buying local cheese in a lovely setting.

I never actually got to try the sausages, having missed my alarm and not wanting to miss my flight back to NY, and not able to bring back meat to the states... so sadly I had to leave them behind. The lady working in the store (perhaps her name is Agnès) seems to treat the locals from the neighborhood much better and has a completely different attitude and standard towards her non-Belgian customers. We called her bluff...we could smell her bs...it is her shop and she can treat her customers however she chooses.... Her business card states, "Making your belly happy is our mission." If she had a pleasant and honest demeanor and was aware of cultural differences, I believe she would find it translates to larger sales, happy customers, and repeat business no matter what are her customers' origins...just sayin'!!
