I placed an order on 12/15. At the end of the order but before finalizing it, they asked if I wanted free shipping by signing up for Catherine's Rewards. I signed up and then logged in with my new login. At that point everything emptied from my cart, but I got no confirmation that the order went through. So I put everything back in my cart and it showed correctly with no shipping. I then finalized the order and got confirmation. The next day I had two charges on my debit card and two email confirmations with 2 different order numbers. I tried calling customer service to cancel one of the orders. They said they could not because the orders were in processing status. It was less than 24 hours after I made the order. They said I had to wait until I received the items and that I could then return them for"credit." I told them I wanted a refund on my card and they said that was possible. It is Christmas Day and they have only partially filled one order and it has been stuck at a FedEx location since 12/21 about an hour from my house. I don't understand why they could not cancel the second order while the items were still in their possession. All of customer service were people in a foreign country. You could tell there was no supervisor access and they were reading from a script. Very disappointed. read more

I placed an order online and in order to receive free shipping you had to spend $125.00, which I did. It was also advertised in the catalog that with $75+ order you could receive a free Shopper Tote Bag with using a specific code which at check-out I applied and it was accepted and then I put in a promotional code for $50 off $100 which was a coupon they sent me in a birthday card. AS soon as I applied the code for the $50 off it took away my free gift saying I was now not eligible for the free gift even though I still spent over $150.00 after my $50 was deducted and the free shipping was applied. I called customer service to ask why I was no longer eligible for the free gift and the agent without asking me for any of my information just told me that you are only eligible for one promo code, which it NOT true. I asked to talk to her supervisor and was placed on hold when the supervisor answered if that's what you would call him was arrogant and rude he said there was nothing he could do I told him then put his supervisor on the phone and he said they don't talk on the phone. He eventually did not say anything and believe he hung up on me. Before doing that I told him customer service is supposed to help you and make things right but he didn't seem to like that and asked why I asked to talk to him. I told him I will never do business with Catherines again AND I won't. They are a rip off and as far as I'm concerned the free item was basically FALSE ADVERTISING because there was no disclosure that it was not available with other promos it simply stated you only had to spend $75+ to be eligible for the free gift. I'm DONE with this company. Very dissatisfied customer. Their prices are way overpriced and shipping and handling charges are ridiculous! A relative passed away and I was tasked with dealing with the Estate so I had her mail forward to my address. I contacted Catherines by email after being bombarded with their flyers via mail for months. The catalogs continued so I called the 800 number and again I continued to receive catalogs. I've now contacted them by email 4 times and by phone 3 times and each time they take my info and promise that the mailings will stop. It's now been 2 YEARS since her passing and the junk mail continues! If Catherines can't handle such a simple task of removing me from a mailing I can't imagine why I would want ever do business with them. read more

I have been a Catherines customer for many, many years and have quite a collection of their blouses. However, after this most recent "Customer NO service" situation I have made the decision to stop ordering anything from Catherines and delete their e-mails. I have been waiting for a long overdue back order, which I was notified had just shipped. Prior to this because of the long wait, I was sent an e-mail giving me a 40% further discount for having to wait so long. However, when the "shipment on the way" e-mail was received I was being charged full price for the blouse. The 40% discount for waiting so long was not reflected. Called Catherines Customer Service and was given the royal runaround telling me that the 40% discount couldn't be accepted because there was no code,etc.,etc. and that the 40% was for a future order. After speaking to a Supervisor, which was no help and further runaround I have made the decision this is not the way a customer should be treated. I even offered to forward the e-mail I received from Catherines re the 40% further discount because of the long wait to receive my merchandise. That suggestion fell on deaf ears!! In this case the right hand wasn't talking to the left the Customer Service Reps need to get more training so everyone is on the same page. Just told me to cancel the order so that is what I did and then cancelled rewards . I have bought from them for years at the stores and had super service but the service now is horrible. I have had issues with my cc and my acct. in general for the last year. I was on the phone with them for 2 hrs., just getting the run-around and being lied to. I wasn't getting shipment emails and my cc keeps saying it's "invalid." Terrible, Terrible, Terrible! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I ordered two leather jackets and received one jacket and a much too large sweater which I didn't order. The packing slip said I received two jackets. I called Catherine's and complained. It took speaking to 3 different people for them to understand what the problem was. Finally they sent me a package slip to return the package. I received an email from them saying they received it and now it seems to be a problem actually receiving my money back. On August 7, 2023 I placed an order online with Catherine's $280.00 Worth of an order at that. I also had recieved several coupons for 40% and 50% off. When it came time to check out, I could not use either coupon so i called customer service. I was told that I cannot use them because I had an item on back order, I changed item and still was unable to use it. I Was told because I have a third party vendor item in my cart(how does one know that you have a third parry vendor item if you are shopping on catherines website) all these stipulations for a coupon. I just chucked it up as a loss of discount but I needed these items. I received a confirmation order email which said thank you for shopping with us and you will recieve a follow up email once your order has shipped...August 11th I checked my order and no orders found. I called customer service and they stated that my order had been canceled. I was never advised and my Catherines card has a 300.00 balance. Who canceled this order? I asked for a supervisor which was not available. So they transferred me to a specialist named Mike whom kept cutting me off. I asked why it was canceled and he said the only reason an order is canceled is even the customer cancels it or due to non payment. We'll, I didn't cancel it and it was placed on my catherines account so payment was recieved. I cannot replace the order because the balance is On my card, I NEVER RECIEVED AN EMAIL TELLING ME THAT MY ORDER WAS CANCELED and you cannot help me in anyway? He said no and it will take 3-5 bus dys for my account to be credited. He nor the other agent offered an apologies for this inconvenience or the bad customer service that I have recieved. I have shoped with them for years..I bought 2 bras for me, 2 for my mother and 2 pair of stockings each, and it was 280.00... 45.00 for one bra! Placed an order on 11/19 received package 12/1 paid 14.99 for shipping they sent the wrong pants, ordered blue floral wide leg elastic in back of waste and pockets, I received blue purple leggings no elastic no pockets not wide legged , called customer service spoke to Ana , she stated she would have to reorder the pants , I would pay for them and after I return the incorrect ones I would get my refund and if I wants to pay another 9.99 for shipping it could be rushed, I advised her they company made a mistake it shouldn't cost me extra, she assured me the correct ones will be shipped , I asked for a supervisor I was told they are in a meeting, left my number for call back, she sent me a order confirmation and it was the same order that was on the wrong pants, called back customer service this time I got Ella who assured me I would get the right pants because they would go by the description of the pants not the number again I asked for a supervisor she ask why I stayed I was not happy with the customer service and I was told no one was available, I will update my review when I receive the correct pants and a call from a supervisor. Catherines will never be the same. Run away as fast as you can. The Full Beauty brands company has hideous return policies that will only take your money from you. They have overcharged my credit card with a pending transaction that has been on the card for 13 days. Numerous phone calls and a complaint filed with BBB has not resolved the issue. I've been given multiple answers from different employees, within different departments. Two of them saying the authorization will stay on my card until October 2023. I would slit my throat 1000x over before I ever do business with this company again. It wouldn't surprise me to see a class action lawsuit in the future due to their policies. Catherine's used to be a quality store. Not anymore! I ordered two sweaters from them on-line... waited and waited for delivery, and never received anything. Finally, after chasing the tracking number down I discovered that my sweaters (that I also paid shipping for) were delivered to the WRONG house. Called customer service and was told that I had to file a police report before they would file a claim with the delivery service. Also, I called FedEx, as this was the delivery service stated on the tracking. FedEx informed me that I could do nothing, as a claim would have to be filed by the seller. No-one will take accountability for the issue here, that is NOT my issue. The delivery address was correct, my account address is correct... my package just landed on the wrong porch. Catherine's is doing nothing for me...unless I file a police report. I will never shop at Catherine's again, and after reading these reviews, it appears that I would have likely been unsatisfied with my order even IF I received it. Also, beware of FedEx now too.. The dress I ordered was not true to size and I returned it. I returned it and it did not charge for the return if I took it to their Happy place. Since the first one was huge, I ordered one size lower. It was still huge. I noticed comments about them not being made true to size. Now they want to charge $10.99 to send back a dress that is essentially defective because they are not making them right. They refuse a free return saying it is my problem. "Mark" in customer relations even said that it says Maxi so that means it is bigger! He doesn't even know his product because Maxi means the length (like Midi) NOT the size. This is the most disgusting place I have ever dealt with and will NEVER buy from them again. I ordered a special occasion dress from Catherine's. I order a dress for my daughter's wedding. I ordered it in the beginning of July. I call numerous times to check on my order. I finally received it yesterday August 23, two months later. What I received was not a dress bit Capri pants. They were not the mariners blue I ordered but black and the maize was not even right it was 3 sizes smaller. So not one thing about the order was correct. This shows complete incompetence and disregard for the customer. I called customer service and basically I am the one who has to be inconvenienced for their mistake. I have been a customer of Catherine's Plus size Women's Clothes for at least 25 years, and spend between $1,000 and $2,000 a year in their stores and online. Great quality clothes and great retail stores - I have shopped their stores in many different cities, but now do most of my shopping on their website, www.catherines.com. My complaint is about how Catherine's markets on their website and in their emails to customers. You have to read the fine print to understand their many discounts and promotions, which can cancel each other out, last for only a day or two, and may apply only to a small number of items. They are especially clever in advertising a "30% discount" on Clearance items. Turns out the only discount IS THE 30% OFF FULL PRICE. Also, emails they send customers with a special promotional offer that appears to be on their full line with the usual exceptions for their "Perfect Price" and other common exclusions, but then leads you to a very short list of items that are included. Today, I tried to place two orders online. The first order was placed with no problem, except that I spent at least twenty extra minutes navigating to make sure I got the discount. The second order was for some "Perfect Price" items that rarely go on sale. I had received an email a couple of days earlier saying the discount would be good until midnight on the following Tuesday, which was the day I was placing the order. When I could not find the promotion code, I entered an online chat with a Catherine's representative who apologized and said that the deadline was past and the email that went out was in error - a typo. So, while mistakes can happen, and Catherines has good quality products in hard to find sizes for large women like myself, their website seems to be run by folks who have no qualms using the old sales and marketing gimmick of "bait and switch."
