Let me start by saying that I have tried CrossFit before and was turned off to it because I pushed…read moremyself way too hard in the beginning. I thought I would give Iron musket a try and Keri-Anne (the gym owner) saw me making my same mistake and cautioned me many times to take it easier or try alternative workouts. At the same time, she didn't let me just give up when she knew I had more in me. She was the right amount of "Come on! Give me one more set!" and "Woah, slow down. I don't want you to hurt yourself." Another thing, CrossFit has a bad reputation for using bad form and actually causing more injuries, but not at this gym. Keri-Anne is actually a licensed Physical Therapist and is very educated on proper body mechanics, so she continuously stressed using proper form and lifting techniques, even if it meant using less weight. One last thing about this place: I wanted to keep going to this gym, but I ran into a bit of a financial pinch. I didn't give her 14 days notice to cancel my payments as I was supposed to, and instead of charging me another month or taking it to collections like any other CrossFit gym would have, she forgave me and said she understands tough times happen and she just wants to see me come back when I am in a better place. She is a wonderful person and a great trainer. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are new to CrossFit. You wont regret it.y

You ever see those girls at your gym that tries to lift weights, but has absolutely no idea what…read moreshe's doing? Yup, that's me and I have no problem admitting that! If someone isn't there to guide me while lifting weights, well then I'm shit out of luck. Cardio workouts are the only thing I know. A few weeks ago I finally realized it was time to get my act together and learn how to do more than run on a treadmill or dance around a studio. My best friend's little sister has been a part of Noble Crossfit for over a year now and always tried to get me to join. I was mainly discouraged before because of the price tag, but thought if I maybe didn't go out to eat and drink EVERY weekend..then I can use that money to pay for Crossfit. Or I can pretend I'm a baller and do it all? Sounds like something I'd do. Then I compared it to getting a personal trainer, which essentially that's what Noble Crossfit offers. At my gym, they charge $80 PER SESSION for a personal trainer. That trainer better give me the body of Jen Selter in that session if I'm paying $80 an hour. So, yes..a membership at Noble Crossfit is overall a GREAT value. Anyways, Noble Crossfit has been great. Laura, Nathan, and Ma truly care that you're doing the work outs properly and will adjust to your capabilities. Seeing as I have basically no upper body strength or lifting experience, they really take the time out to show me the proper techniques and form. They, along with all the members, are not there to judge you. They are there to help you lead a healthier lifestyle, so you'll never get that judgmental vibe. Yes there will be members there that are far more experienced than you, but honestly..they're focused on their own workouts...not standing there to see how much you can lift. I love that they have the workout of the day, which presents a variety/combination of work outs. Every day that you come in, you're in for a new surprise. And sometimes what's listed on the board will make you want to run back to your car and go home, but then you realize to not get scared because the instructors will guide you through it all. Nothing is impossible. You just gotta work hard and you'll grow and see results from there. And no, Noble Crossfit is not a cult..like many people assume haha

With the people, the workouts, and the coaches. Noble meets you where you are so you don't have to have experience or know form and techniques. Every workout can be scaled. Becoming a member at F45 Fairfax Corner has been the best decision I've made in my fitness journey…read more The 2 ultimate factors to why I became a member at Fairfax Corner were the workouts and the coaches. The coaches at Fairfax Corner are some of the most knowledgeable and motivating trainers. They are always eager to help you improve your technique and answer any questions you may have. Shout out to DeAndre, Michelle, Bul, Denzel, Adam, Shannon and Chris! (I know there's coaches I have yet to meet but that's also because they do cardio classes and I'm not there yet. You'll definitely see me sometime soon though!) I think that's what makes Fairfax Corner stand out are the coaches and environment. The coaches take the time to explain the exercises in detail and make sure that you understand what muscles you are working and how to properly perform each movement. They push you to give it your all, but they do so in a way that is encouraging rather than intimidating. They remember our names, our goals, and our fitness levels, and are always willing to offer personalized advice and support. Overall, F45 classes are truly top-notch. If you're looking for a challenging and fun workout that will leave you feeling accomplished and energized, I highly recommend giving F45 Fairfax Corner a try.

It's worth finding! It's like a fun fitness party. The workouts are all a bit different and all incredible. I felt stronger and more energized after starting at SweatBox. The main SweatBox classes offer a combination of cycling, weights, and more in a high-intensity interval training format. It's a full body workout. Expect high energy, upbeat music, dim lights, and plenty of sweat. There is also a Stretch and Mobility class that is great for loosening up tight muscles. The instructors have a very positive attitude and inspire the students. This isn't one of those studios where you'll feel shamed or intimidated. Much of the credit goes to the Studio Manager, Gwen, who is also a fantastic instructor and lovely person. Gwen makes sure that everyone gets a great workout while having a great time in class. SweatBox is super lucky to have her! For me, it comes down to this: SweatBox motivates me to beat my own personal bests. I saw huge changes in my endurance and confidence after only a few classes. I would definitely recommend giving this studio a try.
