This was all because Dr. Delgado felt the need to deceive me about the procedure he discussed with me (removing a crown and looking underneath) and the one he actually performed (a re-root canal without my consent), the former of which I confirmed before my appointment. I don't typically complain but I really got duped by this guy and I'm out a lot of money because of him.

Then he looked at the x-rays again, said the root was on a diagonal or something, and he would refer me to an oral surgeon. What? Wait a minute! Why am I here if you can't do what you said you were able to do - you had a chance to look and agreed. Confidence undermined!!! Pretty sure I don't want you to do anything! Why does the office website say oral surgeon but I got a referral to somewhere else. And the deep cleaning we also agreed on, got an appointment for a cleaning and maybe then do a partial deep cleaning but it was in three months!!!! Not happy. I was so hopeful. But if this office can't give me a new associate, I'm going to have to go shopping again....

It took me almost 20 to 30 min for doing all extra x rays. They took so many x-rays including panaromic x-rays (may be wide angles 4k) moving the x-ray machine all around my face. and also other normal x-rays. All they did without explaining why so many x-rays are required. Finally a dentist came and checked and left then another dentist came for checking how many dental caps I may need to have. They told me that I need to put caps and so many stuffs and they will send me the estimates. Wow! it has been more than 3 months or they did not send me anything except a billing statement asking to pay that I owe. They didn't even ask me for regular cleaning instead told me that you need deep cleaning but don't know when? I don't recommend at all. Hope I will get my estimates in 2 years.

As a person who deals with anxiety, it's helpful to have a dentist who explains all options and breaks down each process. Everyone from the receptionist to the dental assistants. They are one unit; consistently check on each patient throughout their visit. Jerome is the Office Manager. He continues to be the core conduit setting the tone for excellent customer service. I also appreciate the transparency of pay before the procedures. The dentist communicates with the front desk what is needed and the recommended order to get the work done. The front desk then puts in the necessary codes with your insurance plan and gives you a report of cost per procedure. This is so helpful when planning the money that comes out of pocket.

My dental insurance has been the same for the last 15+ years, why is there an issue now? I went to get a fill in, called ahead to ask for an estimate of what my copay would be ahead of time. I was told approx. $54. Of course that's what I was then prepared to pay. My call was placed about two weeks prior and was told I had a "missed appt" charge and a balance. The office policy told to me by front desk was that I shouldn't have been charged the fee because you only get charged if you miss 3 appts within a year. I've never missed any appts in 15 plus years but one. That appt was only missed because I didn't receive the call originally asked for in regards to that appt's copay. I was even given the "I will contact you about the copay" from the back office staff. Ok still waiting for that CALL..... Now I have been to this office several times and haven't been told I had a balance. Fast back forward to front desk and I'm told by Ms Deborah I owe today $108...wait what?? I explained the above and told her the lady I spoke with prior said she would be taking the missed appt fee off and $54 is what is owed today. She then printed off my bills dating all the way back to 2016. I was flabbergasted because how can billing have me come since 2016 and I have a bill balance of $21 and never let me know? Ms Deborah was understanding and took my info for Sylvia her supervisor to contact me. I really hope billing taps into customer service skills. Long time customers should be valued and appreciated. Okay, I get that. I paid, and all is to be right within the world, right, right? Well here in lies the gotcha, my dental insurance told me that I should not have paid anything to the provider at all and I was due a refund. My issue is that it took several phone calls, conversations, basically months to receive my funds. I fully believe that had I not advocated for a return of funds that I would have never received it.
