We adopted a kitten ( now Rookie!) from Cats in Tow (Petsmart Brea) few days ago. People working there were knowledgeable, kind, and so helpful on adoption process. They were patient, proving me with all good information for first time cat adopter. They let me pat the kittens and interact with them to find the best fit. They also helped me shop for the products and even gave me free scratchers, blankets and some toys to play around! They treat all their cats with love, patience, and good knowledge!) I can confidently says this place is one of the best place to find your forever friend. Here, there's so many kittens and cats looking for their forever home so don't buy, adopt!!

Just to update everyone, after all the discrimination I experienced at this place with no help from anyone. I decided to go back to OC Animal Care to adopt another cat! My previous 2 cats were from here and were the sweetest! The staff at OC Animal Care was amazing. Not only did they answer my questions but there was no discrimination at all. The lady volunteering at the cat kennel totally helped me and she went to the back to bring in a Stray baby boy cat to me for adopt. She thought I would make an amazing mom off the bat! I was able to make the deposit and own this cat in week. No discrimination, no dirty looks. My baby boy Simba is such a good kitty! very well behaved! I will never trust places like this ever again. Do yourself a favor visit a Animal Shelter! NOT they types of rescue centers who think they know what they are doing. They have no respect for people who sincerely want to adopt a cat. I know I didn't have to BEG for a kitty. My kitty is only 3 months! Total social, and was able to do the visit right away! In fact he arrived the day I was looking! I had the total opposite experience here a few months back! See my previous review of what really happened!

Our fur baby Link (AKA Parker). What a cuddly boy.

I still suffer a tiny bit with asthma . I adopted Kk and Bo when they were almost 8 in 2018. It is now 2025, so they are 15, almost 16 . I still follow BROC along with Bichon rescues. If you know anything about bonded sibling dogs, they do not go anywhere without each other. It is the cutest thing. BROC told me about this, and I didn't believe them but BO follows his sister around like he is his daughter, protecting her and watching over her all the time. She's actually the larger of the two and Bo lets her eat his food and his treats. I have kept in touch with BROC over the years. Now, I have to make a difficult decision. BROC is by my side, helping me make a decision. Should I get a new dog before one of them pass so the other one has a distraction or wait? Right now I am currently looking at Rockwell. He is a male bichon eight years old,15 pounds. Clearly, Rockwell is not eating steak for dinner....YET! My bichons are 22 And 24 lbs! BROC has made one human and two doggies almost 3 doggies. Very happy!

I recommend this location by a mile. ALL PARTS are in screenshots BELOW!! PLEASE READ!!! . I went in to go adopt a dog either Daphne or Pipsqueak and was told by a staff member (unknown name) they were both already adopted and staff member D was there. Five days later Daphne was back on the list for adoption. So then I go early Saturday to this animal shelter to meet Daphne. I get told she got spayed and her hernia was fixed. Then my witness I took with me asked the staff member(D) why was Daphne returned before. The staff member(D) danced around the question and dined that she was returned. My witness and I thought it was really weird but we let it slide because our thought was maybe Daphne was returned because of the hernia. So I met her and adopted her. The first two days she didn't poop. Which I thought it was because the surgeries causing a slow digestion. Then the third day she poop and I was so happy for her. The fourth day she had diarrhea and I thought that was normal for the same reason until I saw WORMS moving in her diarrhea. I got scared and quickly called the animal clinic the shelter has and they kept directing me to their coupon people VCA that only covers 250. Not enough for the animal's shelter neglect to disclose Daphne's real health status of having worms. Either way, I made an appointment. The earliest VCA had was Friday 6:30pm. After the appointment was made I began doing my research and found out most worms are CONTAGIOUS! There is no way she got worms being in my home that quickly. The poor puppy Daphne had worms when under the animal shelter care and DID NOT TELL ME! So I prayed to God so much that as long as Daphne's diarrhea does not have blood so I can afford the bills of taking care of her worm problem. Thursday came and then Daphne's diarrhea had blood, worms, and mucus in it. It was so scary and heartbreaking!!! This means I can't afford to help her so I need to return her so she has a chance to live. So I went to return Daphne with a broken heart. When I get to the adoption center part of the animal shelter they have me sit down. The front desk staff member asked why I was returning Daphne. I said because no one told me she has worms. That staff member looked shocked and didn't say anything for a long mintue. then she asked what type of worms, and if I have a stool sample. if I knew I had to bring a stool sample I would've brought one. I told her tapeworms because that's what it looked like in the video I took of the diarrhea where the worms appeared. But also, I don't understand why she is asking me what type of worms when I am not a vet veterinarian so why would I give her a guarantee 100% knowing of the worm type. For all I know I could be completely wrong. I'm just person who wanted to adopt a healthy puppy. Then that staff member tried to say it can be fixed with a pill. (It's not that simple.) Then another staff member (Blonde older lady) came the one I was waiting for.
