OC Pom Rescue made the entire experience really pleasant. They are organized and follow strict guidelines to ensure the pets are going to safe and loving homes. The animals are well cared for in their care or the care of the foster. It's my first time adopting a pet. I've always had chihuahuas and had them at 6 weeks, so I was always responsible for the vaccines, sterilization and micro chipping. This is all taken care of for you prior to adoption which saves a lot of time and money. You can see from the level of care and dedication that this rescue truly has the animals best interest at heart. I would highly recommend them for any Pomeranian adoptions.
I started volunteering with OC Pom this year and it has been such a wonderful experience. The team is well organized and everyone is so compassionate and thoughtful in everything they do. I have looked at other rescues to foster at but OC Pom Rescue really caught my eye and I'm glad it did! Everyone on the team is a team player and always eager to lend a hand--I never felt lost or judged. A genuine team like this is hard to come across and I'm lucky to be a part of them! I had the opportunity to foster the sweetest girl and OC Pom Rescue made the entire process smooth and easy. I can't wait to foster more dogs down the line and to help out with their events--yes they host events and they are poppin! Maybe one day, I'll even adopt from them too!
We adopted a dog through them and they are so wonderful to work with. I love that they are doing this work to put Pomeranians in good homes that will love them for the rest of their lives. The adoption process was in depth but easy! I'm glad they really vet people to make sure the dogs are going to the best homes possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a new best friend!
In my opinion, rescuing a dog is the only option when you're looking to add a furry companion to the family ;) Nala is the 4th Dog I've rescued in my adult life... and hands down, this was my most FAVORITE adoption experience! From the start - their website is easy to navigate, the descriptions of available dogs are excellent, communication is great, the adoption process is thorough - and ultimately the entire OC POM Team is THE BOMB! When I had a chance to connect with Jasmine, she was delightful, easy to talk to and completely honest about whether the pup's personality aligned with what we were looking for. OC POM CARES so much about their pups, AND the families who adopt them. At this point, I feel like they're family. And best of all, our pup Nala (formerly Cinnamon) has COMPLETED our family! When the time comes for us to expand our family further, it will definitely be with OC POM :)

I adopted and volunteer with OC Pom Rescue and both have been amazing experiences! The entire crew truly cares and works hard for all these pups. There's a thorough application process in place so each dog truly goes to the best home for them. There's also so much that happens behind the scenes to rescue these babies. If you're looking to adopt, the process is completely laid out on the website and it's actually followed so make sure to submit a home video when applying. Highly recommend adopting or volunteering with OC Pom Rescue. All the poms + other small doggos are in great hands. :)
I started volunteering with OC Pom Rescue in December and absolutely love working with the founders and other volunteers at this rescue. They are so caring and truly love the work that they do. Recently, my family become foster fails as we adopted a cutie that was rescued and placed into our home. We just could not give this little guy up and now he is with us forever. Highly recommend volunteering or adopting from OC Pom Rescue. Please only do so if you are 100% wanting to adopt and/ or help these fur babies. They go through so much and need love and stability.
We recently adopted our dog from OC Pom Rescue and I can't speak highly enough about them. They truly care about the welfare of their rescues and our dog's foster mom was such a kind, caring person who took great care of our Pippa before she came to us. They vet potential owners/homes carefully, but the adoption process is still simple and efficient. They provide excellent medical care to the dogs they're fostering and are very transparent and forthcoming with adoptive families. They also do a great job of trying to match a dog's needs and temperament to the right home. They do a lot of great events and fundraisers as well and work to educate and raise awareness about the importance of rescues and caring for dogs. If you're looking for a Pom to adopt, I highly recommend OC Pom Rescue!
As a volunteer of this rescue, I will say that they truly love and do what is best for all of their rescue dogs. They do what it takes to get each of them a loving foster and ensure they are in the right environment for that specific pup. If you are looking for that perfect small pup. You will find it here. After we lost our beloved Pomeranian to Lymphoma recently, we were heartbroken and desperately looking for a new Pom to adopt. We searched everywhere with no luck. Due to COVID, all animal shelters are very difficult to deal with. Some private rescues either raised their adoption fees or wouldn't even reply to inquiries. This all changed once we found OC Pom Rescue. They are by far the best animal rescue we have ever dealt with! They sincerely love dogs and care about the well-being of the animals. They always ensure the adoptions are the best match and the processes go smoothly. They are very personal and checking in with us frequently. We not only adopted one dog, we adopted two Pomeranian puppies! We can't be happier! This whole experience was like a dream came true for us. We want to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who are working tirelessly to foster animals. They all went above and beyond to help the dogs to be placed at good homes. We highly recommend IC Pom Rescue to everyone who is looking for the best animal rescue to work with.
OC Pom rescue is filled with kind and loving volunteers who have a deep passion for dogs!!! The main people: Jasmine, Karli, Emily, Adriana, and Sondra spend so much time devoted to the rescue -- they organize events, connect with all the volunteers, create gofundme's and posts to fundraise for dogs' medical and vetting costs, and are constantly working with the shelters to bring dogs into the rescue. They work tirelessly due to their devotion to dogs! I adopted my second dog Peanut from this rescue about a year ago!! Peanut was at a shelter, and OC Pom worked with the shelter to get him into the rescue. When he first got to the rescue, he was skinny/frail, dirty, scared and untrusting of people. The first few days he was whining nonstop. He also had double luxating patellas and was unable to walk without limping. The rescue set him up a gofundme account, a promotional video, and several social media posts in order to raise the funds for his costly surgery. Eventually he was able to get his surgery because of the rescue! Through this surgery and his foster experience he now lives an incredible life. He walks, jumps, and runs everywhere now (something he would have never been able to do if it weren't for the rescue). Also, through his foster experience he became more comfortable with people, and he started to develop his trust in people through having more positive and loving interactions. He also is at a healthy weight now and his coat is fabulous and glossy now that he is given good meals. Everyone I talk to says he looks like a totally new dog. I deeply thank OC Pom rescue for not only saving him and bringing him into the rescue but also letting me adopt him. He is my angel!!! I've also been volunteering as a Foster with OC Pom for almost 2 years now and it has been an incredible experience! Fostering gave me the opportunity to help dogs (that come from less than ideal situations) become accustomed to being cared for, trained, socialized and loved. Many of the dogs I fostered were coming out of medical procedures (double luxating patellas, broken legs, neuters, dentals) so I would care for each dog for a few months. Without OC Pom, many of these dogs would not have been able to get the medical care that they needed to live happy and healthy lives. Some of them were surrendered because previous owners haven't been able to take care of their needs. Others came from hoarding cases and were accustomed to living their whole lives in crates. The rescue helped each of these dogs. And being a foster is an incredible experience because you have the opportunity to be one of the people to help these dogs to step into their new lives of being given the love and spoiling they deserve!!! I 1000% recommend fostering if you have the love, patience, and time to care for a dog. If not, the rescue also has opportunities to volunteer as a person who transports dogs, writes blogs, or helps with events. This is definitely an amazing community to be a part of!
Everyone who works with OC POM RESCUE are incredible! We just adopted 1 of 55 Pomeranians that were rescued from the Road Trip Pack and now our family is complete! We are so impressed and grateful for the wonderful work Jasmine (founder) and her team does! They are a wonderful group who really work hard to help many abused, abandoned poms who simply want a loving family find a forever home. Not only do they help adult dogs or puppies, they also make sure their senior/hospice or special needs dogs are well taken care of. You can tell they are very passionate about what they do and they are not just trying to place with the first person who come along or who may not be the best fit. They go through a diligent procedure to make sure all their dogs are adopted to the right loving family. Working with OC POM RESCUE is a breeze, the adoption process is straight forward, communication is hassle free and the poms are healthy, happy and ready to come home to their forever homes. I was looking to adopt a senior Pomeranian who would be fit to live in an apartment in the city. OC Pom Rescue was extremely responsive and I was able to meet the dog that I applied for within 1 week of application. He is the sweetest Pomeranian with the best temper. I highly recommend anyone looking to adopt to consider OC Pom rescue! The volunteers truly love their dogs and care for them like family and will make sure that they go to the best possible adopters.

The rescue paired us with the perfect dog, our little Lannister. They asked us many questions, they did a house check, they vet each and every person whom fills out a form, phone calls, meet and greets, they are a nonprofit, they have saved so many beautiful lives and place them in safe forever homes. Since adopting, I've become a foster with the company and I love every moment of it read more

I have adopted two dogs from this amazing rescue! They really do their best with getting care for the dogs before adoption such as getting all of their vetting done, dentals, spay/neuters, microchip, vaccines, grooming, and anything else they need done. They are always open for communication and questions before and even long after the adoption. Trust in the adoption process and you will get matched with the perfect baby when it's meant to be! read more

Volunteering with OC Pom Rescue has been great! The entire team has a huge passion for dogs and they never ever stop putting the dogs well-being first. I've fostered about 6 dogs so far with them and they provided all the supplies I've needed and more. They truly do love dogs! I adopted my pom mix from them and she is the love of our lives. Before I adopted her, they made sure she had a hernia surgery, spay, dental cleaning, and double luxating patella surgery. I felt like not every rescue would do all of that, but they made sure she was 10000% healthy and ready before I adopted her. Those surgeries alone would've cost us upwards up 5k. Every dog I've fostered with them, they have made sure to get them all the medical attention necessary, no matter the financial cost. You can trust this rescue to do proper vetting before you adopt. They take in shelter dogs and owner surrenders, so they are always looking for fosters. I would highly encourage anyone who loves dogs and wants to give back to volunteer! read more

My experience with this rescue has been nothing but amazing. Each and every one of its founders/volunteers that I've encountered has been the most helpful, patient, knowledgeable people to communicate with. The love they show their intakes is second to none. they worked with me to find the right fit for my home and i have been blessed with the most adorable loving bundle of fluff i could have hoped for. thank you so much! I got involved with OC Pom Rescue because I wanted to foster. They got back to me almost immediately. Within a day or two I had a new foster pup. These ladies are absolutely wonderful. They run the rescue with such care and really support and appreciate their fosters. They show the highest level of care for their dogs and always make sure the dogs are going to the right home. I eventually adopted my foster dog and they continue to offer their support in answering questions when needed. I highly recommend this rescue if you want to adopt. You will be saving the life of a dog in need from a group of women who really care. read more

First of all, these are some of the nicest, caring people you will ever meet...They are in it for the dogs only and make sure that the dogs they take in have the best chance at a wonderful life going forward. They take in some very serious medical and neglect cases without a blink of the eye and give these animals all the attention they need including proper vetting, any serious medical needs (including medication, surgeries, grooming, long term hospice if needed)...and tons of love. The dedication to the cause by all these wonderful people is obvious. My story is.....I had just lost my 2 dogs within a month of one another and was devastated. I ran into many road blocks trying to adopt another dog....most of the rescues were unresponsive after multiple inquiries or had very difficult perimeters for adoption or just were plain rude. At the 11th hour by the grace of God, I found OC Pom Rescue. I filled out the application thoroughly and immediately sent in a home check video. Not only did they get back to me quickly, but they were awesome!!! I ended up adopting 2 beautiful little ladies who have changed my life and also became a foster because this is a wonderful community of people doing such great work on behalf of the animals, I had to be a part of it. I have adopted 5 dogs from other rescues and have never had such a warm and wonderful experience. I can't say enough on behalf of this rescue and all the people involved. I love them! read more

We would've never met Romeo without OC Pom Rescue. OC Pom is a group of lovely ladies and they are friendly, patient, helpful, and most importantly, they genuinely care about the poms. They responded quickly to my application and arranged a meet and greet within a few days. Throughout our adoption trial, they answer our questions and give us great advice. It's a pleasure working with OC Pom Rescue and we would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a life companion. read more

Working with OC Pom Rescue was an extremely positive experience, from start to end. Jasmine was particularly instrumental in our adoption and was accommodating/communicative throughout the process. This was our first adoption and we live in Los Angeles (effectively a 1-2 hr drive from OC). We tried to work with other nearby rescues/adoption shelters, but none of them offered us the full transparency or level of communication that OC Pom has. I can tell Jasmine and the team really love what they do and really care for the pups. We're hoping to adopt again in the near future and if we do, we'll certainly go to OC Pom first. I had the most wonderful experience working with the OC Pom Rescue. I've been avidly looking for a dog to adopt and when I saw Riley aka now Mochi Bear I had to put in application. Jasmine was fantastic and thoroughly checked on every end if we were the right fit. I then was able to adopt him! She helped me from the start and I'm proud to work with this organization who dedicate their time to give voices to the voiceless. It's day 13 so far and Mochi has been an amazing doggie loves belly scratches, all the toys & snuggles! I'm proud to say I was able to donate and contribute the best I could and be a Pom mom to this rescued angel...since then he's been eating real well & learning everyday! Did I say he loves to play with unlimited amount of toys& claimed two of his favorites! I Cannot wait for all the adventures I'll go on with him by my side and fundraisers to come! read more

I found OC Pom Rescue on Instagram and they were amazing. We adopted an amazing dog from them and they could not have been more kind and helpful. They answered all of my questions, helped me with the transition and made sure that not only was Milo the best fit for me, but that I was the best fit for him. I originally found OC Pom Rescue through Instagram. They only had a few pictures up but the pups they posted were in major need of love and I thought it was amazing that they took in these dogs in need and gave them new life. As they took in more dogs, and posted more pictures, I fell in love with all these awesome poms on their page. The passion they have for Pomeranians and dogs in general is inspiring. They are the most genuine, caring and professional rescue I've ever encountered. I am so grateful they connected us with our little guy Taz! He is an angel and he might not have survived without their help! If you're looking for an amazing fur baby, OC Pom is the way to go! read more

Not only do they miraculously have a constant selection of the most adorable pups (I'm honestly not sure how they find so many perfect little cuties) this rescue organization is a total class act. It was immediately apparent to me that they care deeply about matching the right dog to the right owner, and they're honest and willing to put in the work to ensure their dogs are paired with the very best families. I inquired via email about the first dog I saw on their page that I was interested in and they straight up told me that she was a loud barker. Well, I live in pretty crowded apartment complex and that wouldn't be ideal. So... they suggested I keep monitoring their available dogs and shortly thereafter I fell in love with a little guy they posted named Chester. I submitted an application and a day or two later Chester's foster called me to get a feel for whether or not we'd be the right match. We chatted for probably an hour as she asked some questions about my lifestyle and then detailed just about everything she could possibly tell me about the dog. She patiently answered every question I could think of. We arranged a meet and greet and I was instantly charmed by the pup - so much so that I brought him home after his dental later on that week! I was a new dog owner, and over the next month or so Chester's amazing foster Adriana made herself extremely available to answer every last question I had while Chester and I were adjusting to our new routine. She gave tons of advice and product suggestions and checked in to see how things were going until we were completely settled. I felt totally confident and well prepared to care for my new best friend, and the past 6 months with Chester (now Toast) has been an actual dream come true. I can't say enough positive things about my dog adoption experience with OC Pom Rescue. From the preliminary steps, to the meet and greet, to going home with my beautiful girl, it was all a great experience. I love that this rescue doesn't exclude senior dogs from their life saving efforts; I have a soft spot for seniors. So, when one of their seniors caught my eye, I began the process to adopt. It couldn't have gone better. When I met up with everyone and the Pom pack, the feeling I got from the fosters and founders was that they would do anything for the dogs in their care -- as much as they would for their own dogs. They offered information and answered any questions I had honestly, indicating to me their top concern is a successful adoption. When calling or texting (whether prior to or after the adoption), response time was quick. Sondra even responded while she was traveling. :) Thank you, Sondra! I decided to take little Jasmine home with me, and once the adoption was complete, I received her medical papers (everything had already all been relayed to me verbally). It was heartwarming to see all the effort they invested in her. They took on a girl caged in a high kill shelter who needed quite a bit of help to feel good and be ready for adoption, and I'm so grateful for that. Now that she is in her life home with me and her fur brother, Wyatt, it makes me so happy when I get a message from them checking how she is doing. I love that they care about her so much to follow up. That's a good rescue. And we are doing great! Jasmine has brought so much love into my home! My husband and I recently adopted our sweet baby, Alfie, from OC POM Rescue. I have been following this organization for a while and knew I wanted to adopt from them as they go above and beyond to make sure their rescues are well taken care of and that they find their perfect new home. Alfie's foster, Adriana, was able to tell us everything about Alfie (temperament, personality traits, energy level, what he is working on, etc) before we got him for our trial adoption and checked in frequently/answered all of our questions during the process. So thankful for this company -I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to adopt! read more

Yes, they are welcome to join us at our pet adoption events every other month. Our foster dogs enjoy breaks during the event, and we always need volunteers to sit with them, walk with them, and get them water/treats.
