This rescue shelter had great customer service but unfortunately they lied to me about multiple things, when I first got my cat Corazon from the shelter they claimed she was fixed and would send me her medical documents via email... but never did. Later when she went into heat she ended up getting pregnant and when I called the shelter asking for her documents they denied me and told me they had closed and that they couldn't help me in any way. I love her a-lot but the fact that they failed to inform me about her being spayed it is horrible for health and what if someone adopted her and couldn't financially support having a litter, they could lie to you about your future pet if you do decide to adopt so just be mindful. read more

I found the experience to be enjoyable. So, I am not sure if something has changed since earlier reviews, and/or it might be different when it is more crowded. I believe this is the first time that I have seen purebred cats in a cat cafe. So, that was definitely interesting! With me as the only walk-in visitor, I don't think the cats seemed too stressed. However, different individual cats had different different personalities. So, many wanted to interact with me, but some were more shy. The staff member was also friendly and talkative. So, if the experience can be similar for you, then I think it is worth a visit. read more

I made reservations online for two but it wasn't packed at all. I was there for almost a hour and there were over 20 cats there. Not all are playful and a lot are sleeping but there are plenty of friendly ones. I think they all have claws so you can get scratched and they can bite too. I had a great time. There's no actual food that you can buy so I wouldn't really call it a cafe. I've been to other ones like this that are real cafes where they have coffee or similar drinks like that. The moment you enter it reeks of cat piss and all the cats were mean or asleep! It also looks like no one really takes care of them. The cats are so cute. Me and my friends pre-bought our tickets online and it was $20. It's kind of pricey but it goes towards that cats so it's fine. I didn't know what to expect but I wanted to take one cat home with me. I was really attached to the cat named Keanu because he kept coming to me to sit on my lap. He was so sweet. I've read other reviews about this place smelling like urine but it did not smell bad at all. The owner was super nice and friendly and she gave us food to feed the cats. Most of the cats were approachable and if you're looking to really interact with some, the sphynx cats are very active. They will literally hop on your back and it was so funny. My 2 and 3 year old girls absolutely loved this place. We came right when it opened at 11am to make sure that we're the only ones there. The cats were all very friendly, some a bit feisty but none too aggressive for my two girls. Just note that this place is more of a high end adoption center for the cats and not really a cat "cafe" per se. They don't serve anything. There are about 10 or so cats, 2 kittens, a few are the owners cats and a few were surrendered by the original owners due to relocation or age. $20 per person for an hour and free for kids under 5. An hour was plenty of time for our girls to enjoy some quality time with the cats. Who knew they loved cats that much... beats going to the petting zoo. read more

I love this cat cafe! Im so glad that this place opened. It's located on the second floor of a building complex. The entrance fee is $20 per person for a 45 minute session. Not bad at all considering that there are tons of cats that need to be taken care of in there. It was empty when I went on a Thursday afternoon. There are soo many adorable & cuddly cats, I wanted to take so many of them home! Overall, I had a great experience here. If you love cats, I definitely recommend this place. I took my boyfriend here as a surprise for his birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Many of these cats are rescued and are nursed back to health for the potential of being adopted. While we have a misconception that rescue animals are known to be aggressive, these cats were nothing but sweet and playful. They don't even fight the guests, they just fight each other, which was very amusing to watch. I believe you get $25 for 30 minutes to an hour for entering. Brought my fiancée here since we were looking to add another cat to our family. When I opened the entrance door I immediately got hit with the smell of Urine and Other intense odors. Walked in and paid 20$ each to see the cats. Seems like it's more For PROFIT. All of the cats were very stressed. My fiancée was scratched on her hand which bled. So we decided to leave 10min into it. Overall this place is horrible. The conditions the cats are in are really bad. The littler boxes were full. There was only one water bowl for 20+ cats. The owner responded to my review saying they weren't open when I went to the cafe in 2022, which isn't true. Their business was open, but they were just at a different location (3650 grand ave suite j, chino hills ca 91709, on the second story next to an animal clinic) and have since moved to their current location next to the jack in the box and closed 99 cent store. They go by the same name and even still have the same phone number from when I went 909-354-2695. I unfortunately don't have any of my own pictures from the more poorly kept cats (the first one that comes to mind is a white Persian cat that looked like it had a severe and untreated eye infection and it laid in the corner looking miserable our entire time there) as it was 2 years ago, but my friend has dated pictures of when we went on May 26th, 2022. read more

This buisness (technically a rescue) has cats ranging from very young to seniors... the older cats are in need of dire care. The whole room smells of urine. This place makes me so sad. Several cats have wounds like they fight... maybe the concentration of cats is too high for the small space they are kept in? The picture I included of the white cat is to show what a donation goes to support. This isn't a cat that has been sick over the weekend, it think it has been Like this for months. This is a thriving business that has plenty of traffic. Unfortunately, none of the cats were playful when we went, so we didn't really play with the cats. Most of the cats did not want to have any human interaction. Please be cautious when attempting to pet these cats. I think this cat cafe is a good concept, but I think that the cats need to be more familiar and comfortable with human interaction before they can be ready for adoption. Erica is in charge of this little cafe and takes care of the guests visiting all the fluffy residents of Knead Cattfeine. No, she is not a cat, but obviously a cat lover who handles many things gently and as deftly as a cat. My friends and I came 10 mins early for our appointment but were let in since they had the space. We squared away our reservations and paid our $20 cuddle fee. Our reservations start at 4:10 PM and on their website, the reservation increments were 10 minutes -- so it appears as if this $20 cat cuddle fee is only good for 10 minutes but it is actually unlimited. So back in that well-lit happily decorated ante room with rattan chairs and white decor, some orange and white cats were happily snoozing here (Jenny, Chuckie and possibly Doritto) on the human chairs and cat-sized hammocks. I was eager to peek into the main room to be with most of the kitties, who just got up from their cat naps. The cats are from the Priceless Pet Rescue, but felt very much at home at the KC cafe. The place is clean, well-kempt, with refreshing nature-like decor (rattan chairs, white linen and fur throws, big leafy print accents) with the cat hammocks, towers, cat houses and baskets. I wouldnt mind switching lives with these cats for a day! There were just 3 other people hanging out & there were 4 of us but the space was big enough so we moved around the room without really bothering each other. Rules include not picking them up but some of them might actually come cozy up to you and hang around your lap and thats how you know they want to be carried! Bella and Tepp (both black cats) did this, which is awesome because I LOVE black cats. i kinda feel like Emily the Strange. Oh, regarding the food and drinks: There's an abundance of drinks (they purchase it from Coffee Bean downstairs) for $4-6 & some cookies/ snacks for $1. Not that youd want them, theyre cuddle distractions! We spent about 2.5 hours here getting to know the different cat residents and discussing cat philosophies & cat trivia. Finally, we were done & the place was about to close. They close at 7pm. But thats okay. they not only offer $50 monthy membership so you can come back for unlimited visits, but also events like paintnite, yoga with cats nite. Sounds interesting. All in all, a visit to knead cattfeine is pricey but i think an afternoon wellspent. No doubt I will be back. **MORE INFO, the boring stuff*** Love this little place and I'm so happy a cat cafe has finally popped up in Chino Hills, since its such a pain to go anywhere more than 10mi nowadays! It only opened a few weeks ago, and I had to create their biz on yelp *insert shrug emoji here* The store is on the strip behind the Sprouts on Grand after you exit 71. Knead Cattfeine Cafe (Catfé?) is on the second floor, so just drive to the middle of that row of businesses and you'll see a gigantic white sign on the wall. never in my 43 years of life have I had such a horrible experience. We had an appointment set for 2pm last week and she didn't show. we waited until 3:30PM and she STILL DIDNT SHOW. Me and my children could see the cats through the glass of the store and they looked very neglected. They went around to the back of the store and mentioned that there was BEER AND LOTERY TICKETS. The adoption process is such a pain...I absolutely love the kitten we got from here and love coming here occasionally, but READ THE REVIEWS before you adopt. They don't keep cats on file at all. When I asked for vaccination records, they told me to go to the clinic next door. The clinic people told me they are totally unaffiliated businesses and they even got my kitten's gender mixed up with her brother. They were very kind though to tell me that my kitten has not been spayed or microchipped and is still missing a vaccine shot (the cafe staff told the complete opposite - they said the kitten was spayed and fully vaccinated). I would have never known my kitten wasn't spayed if these people didn't tell me. The entire process is just confusing and shows 0 management skill. We went back to the cafe and they said they would cover the spay and vaccine costs. So we got our kitten spayed and watched her live in pain for two weeks. Then we went back for a check up, and the clinic people told me the cafe staff took back their words and will not pay for the vaccine... Don't adopt from this place. We adopted our other kitten from pricelesss pet rescue and they took care of everything and gave us proper paperwork and chip and information. This place simply gives endless troubles. read more

While the front desk does seem to sell coffee and snacks, this is really more of a space to hang out than a cafe in the traditional sense. That's not a critique, though, because it's a wonderful space. Just sitting around surrounded by cats was an incredibly enjoyable experience. Pretty much all the cats are friendly and open to being pet (save for one cautious new arrival during my visit). There's a bunch of cat toys lying around if you want to use them, and plenty of open seats to settle down in. Depending on when you go, several cats may be asleep, but there's enough of them around to guarantee there's always a few to play with. My own visit ended up lasting over 2 hours. What a perfect find! For $20, you get 45 mins to spend time with some adorable furry friends. Husband and I visited over the weekend where we were fortunate enough to have the place to ourselves. We found the place well maintained with lots of spots for each cat to relax. Because many of the cats are rescues, we were perfectly ok with letting the cats come to us when they were ready. I'm giving this three stars because I really love my cat that I got from here, and it is a great idea to interact with the cat before you adopt it. First their adoption fee was almost $200 which makes sense because they're a small business. They had a lot of lovely cats to choose as well. Fyi: I usually don't write reviews unless it might be beneficial to somebody. This business right now is getting off the ground and still has a lot of technical difficulties so please be aware of that when you're adopting. I had to go back 60 miles out of my way in order to pick up one sheet of paper that could've been faxed to me or emailed for the cats records. I called more than five times both the rescue and the vet next-door in order to receive the records. They told me they didn't have his records in the system the first time I called then I called the vet next-door and they said they did. The communication between the two businesses is very minimal. This was a highly unprofessional situation and hopefully this won't happen again for another adoptee. read more

as someone who has owned 6 cats over the years and has done a lot of research on cat health and behavior, this place is absolutely terrible. almost every single one of the cats are sick. most of them have obvious eye infections, the kittens have absolutely no toys or beds in their small cages where there are 5 or 6 kittens all clumped together in the corner to get away from their diarrhea-filled litter boxes. kittens need a lot of attention and play but these kittens are just laying all together and sadly mewling at anyone who passes by their cages. some diarrhea was even outside of the cage on the floor. i almost burst into tears looking at these poor, barely living, kittens. every inch of the floors were sticky and made a loud sticking sound with every step. i expect a cat pee smell at a cat cafe, but not this strong. it's highly possible some of the cats have unchecked kidney diseases or other urinary problems. the owner's persian and hairless cats look to be in the worst shape. the hairless one looks to be on the verge of death, barely responsive and way too skinny. reminds me of my 17 year old cat a few days before she was put down. the persian has pink dye in its fur. it's covered in dirt and what i believe is flea dirt (flea poop/dried blood) and very dirty ears (looks infected) and his tail is very dirty as well like he can't clean it. he looks worse than he does in previous pictures on here, so i suspect he's getting sicker and not being properly cared for. all the cats looked to be itching themselves a lot more than is normal so i suspect they probably all have fleas :( several of the cats appeared to have limps as well. the hairless cat has goop coming from its eyes, signaling a severe eye infection. one of the cats appeared aggressive towards the kittens and other cats, probably because there is nowhere for these cats to hide! they have beds with covers and such, but there is no separate area for them to get away from humans. that is essential in cat cafes. i've been to 3 other cat cafes, and they were all very clean and the cats were much happier and had a separate room to relax and get away from the people whenever they wanted. despite having an animal urgent care literally attached to the building, these cats are all still ill! most of the cats appear underfed and bony, and their fur greasy and unhealthy. the door that leads into the urgent care has claw marks at the bottom, presumably from cats desperate to escape the chaos. this place either needs to make some extreme changes, like basically scrap everything and START OVER, or it needs to be shut down. it is harming the cats and i feel bad for the clueless people that were in there petting the cats like nothing was wrong because they don't know animals should be treated either. the owner has replied to a couple of yelp reviews saying that these customers just "don't understand how hard it is to run a cat cafe" but i've been to The Cat Cafe in San Diego, Purringtons Cat Lounge in Portland, OR, and the CatCafe Lounge in Los Angeles, and were all perfectly clean with happy and healthy cats, with a friendly staff that obviously cared about the cats. this is just pathetic. EDIT: addressing the owner's reply--you should not have sick kittens out in the open for the other cats to be near and possibly spread their diseases. sick kittens should not be able to be adopted, they should be in the urgent care until they are healthy. it's no wonder all of these cats are sick!!! maybe one or two of those cats looked in an adoptable state to me, but they're probably also carrying a disease from the other sick cats. second, THERE IS NO PLACE FOR THE CATS TO HIDE. every other cat cafe i've been to has a separate room with a kitty door for the cats to retreat to if they don't want to be bothered. this is inhumane third, all of these cats are underfed. their food does not have the nutrition they need to be happy and healthy, clearly. if you can't afford to feed the number of cats you have, you should not be accepting any more. if you cannot afford the best quality food for these cats, you should not have a cat cafe. this is animal abuse. period. i looked at the facebook page and barney is only ~6 years old, according to you. if you think that's "very very old" for a cat, you know nothing about cats. indoor cats have an average lifespan of 15-20 years. also, there is no cafe. no coffee or food. so it's $20 to have the same experience you would have at a shelter for free. (and the cats at shelters will be healthy before being but up for adoption, unlike these cats) the website blatantly lies about what it will be like. it says you will have the place to yourself with the cats during your reservation, and that there is a max of 4 people in groups, but there were probably 8-10 people in there with us. read more

I held off on coming here after seeing so many negative reviews, but was surprised once I actually went there. Owner was super friendly and cats seemed to be treated well. There was about 20 cats and admission is $20 to get in. There will obviously be a mix of personalities with so many cats in one place but it seems to be well managed in my opinion. One big plus was that the owner came out and gave us all cat snacks to give out for free (I've been charged for this in other cafes). I appreciate having a cate cafe with a friendly owner and well-kept cats because other than this one it seems the closest ones are in LA or Newport Beach. read more

First time visit to Knead. I brought my niece (12 yes old). Parking was ample, located upstairs on the corner. About a dozen cats lounging and roaming the two visiting spaces. It was clean with modern furniture. The cats were friendly, different ages and temperaments. My niece loved it. We stayed for almost 2 hours, there was no time limit. Kittens arrived the day we were there and they were adorable. It's less of a cafe and more of a cat cuddle and lounge experience. Bottled Starbucks coffee was available for purchase however there were no fresh brewed drinks.
