Have been happy with this bank for 6 years, but since they changed to new system, and new posting without following Federal regulations on notifications, or really anything else... I won't be recommending it to anyone ever again. Glad my friends who didn't switch on my recommendations dodge the bullet. They changed to what they are calling "real-time posting" which basically means they will count all pending pre-authorizations (even if you opt out of overdraft protection) and allow debit/credit transactions to overdraw and cause fees against your account. They will post the overdraft fees immediately throughout the banking day, ignoring any deposits your make to cover the charges prior to close of the banking day, and when the actual credit card transactions are presented by the vendor against the pre-authorizations, they keep the initial pre-authorizations as pending against your balance (duplicating the charges) to bump up the NSF potential. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK. read more

ATM never works. Poor banking website. $30 fee to leave the bank if you decide you are unhappy with them. Customer service was nasty to me on the phone because I questioned there being a $30 fee to close my account? She said I know we told you about it when you signed up for an account. Since she was so defensive about it, they must be guilty of not telling people about it; until they are all done filling out the paperwork, like they did to me. After all of the aggravation of filling out the paperwork are you really going to say no I changed my mind because of the $30 fee to close your account within 6 months? No. But when I became immediately dissatisfied with the bank and I had to pay a fee to leave, that did bother me. Especially because the customer service is terrible. I lost my atm card and they charged me a $10 fee for that too. They are not too friendly at the bank either. It has to be the worst bank I've ever signed up with honestly. Everything is difficult with them. I went in for a notary and the notary was gone for a week. Gee go figure. This bank doesn't offer anything glamourous and there seem to be a lot of hidden fees. I like to support the little guy, but they are giving me no reason to. I'm pulling out and going back to Bank of America. read more
