The website made it super easy to estimate how much it would cost based on what forms I needed, and I was able to schedule online and upload all of my documents to their secure site. You can make the appointment right online so that makes it more convenient! Darren took the time to see if we would receive more money back if we filed jointly or separate which was nice to compare. The office was comfortable and the TV was on for us with remote to find something we wanted to watch. However, the wait was extremely short and we weren't able to finish watching anything - that's the GREAT part! Once inside her office we reviewed our documentation and she repeatedly kept saying that she would have really liked to see how the other person had done our federal tax returns. We told her we had looked for it, but could not find it. Again and again - she really wanted to see that and we told her we'd drop it off if we could find it. The next day - Sunday - EASTER Sunday we dropped a copy of our 2011 federal tax return off through the drop off slot and then proceeded to go back home. Maybe I have the date wrong - it could have been Saturday before Easter - who cares - not important really. Then on Monday or Tuesday - days before the deadline - I received a call from her. She wasn't comfortable doing our taxes because we had too many donations. Mind you - every single donation was fully and completely documented. However, she said unless we cut our donations in half - she wasn't going to do our taxes and if we cut our donations in half - we'd be paying over one thousand dollars. She was also charging us about $250.00 more then our previous tax lady! You know what I did - I picked my stuff back up and scheduled a time with the other lady. Thanked this woman for her time! I received my tax return the other day and actually tipped the lady who prepared my taxes $60.00 and was still $200.00 less then this woman who wanted to make donation adjustments. I think not! I think the woman that does my taxes is sharp and knows what she is doing - I think this woman is good for those that don't have donations or other complicated issues. Thanks, but no thanks! I gave this one two stars because at least she was quick to see us and said no a few days before the deadline instead of calling me on April 15th!
