Entrance to this park is $20 per car. It's got a Sandy beach that kids can play around a d adults get bathed in sun. Has got couple of shelters. Also got some play area for the kids that are maintained ok. Could find some puddles here and there. Overall you can spend a good amount of relaxed time here. It also got public restroom that dates back to old ages.

So, there is a small beach in Acworth, Georgia and this park is attached to it. This is a great park to visit and is located just off of Acworth's historic downtown.

    Acworth Beach!

My grandson enjoyed himself at the park and putting his little hands in the lake's water!!

I was so happy to find this place! Perfect for my two toddlers to splash around in the lake and enjoy the playground! . Nice beach - clean and inviting! Definitely recommend!

So happy to find a body of water we can swim in!!! We've been missing the beach from Virginia, I know this is not as big but not bad of a substitute, we can live with this. Clean and quiet, lots of picnic tables and benches, big parking space. Will definitely be coming back many many times

It's easily accessible from Atlanta and the surrounding areas. I've been visiting RTMSP for the past few years. Even though there are lots of visitors, it's large enough that it doesn't feel crowded. Their hiking trails are well groomed, scenic with light elevations. The Iron hill Loop is about 4 miles. It meanders around a bit of Lake Allatoona so you'll catch gorgeous lake views and a bit of boating activities too. The Homestead Trail is little longer, just under 6 miles with rolling elevation. It lends more inland hardwood forests than Iron hill Loop but it also has lovely views of Lake Allatoona along its loop part of the trail. Their where am I markers aren't the best but it's easy enough to figure it out. Their blazes are better. I've seen several woodpeckers, deer and many squirrels, identified a few mushrooms I hadn't encountered before here. They DO charge $5/car for PARKING unless you have an annual pass. Be sure to prominently display it inside your dash even if you do not go through a ranger station or the visitor center. They do ticket. RTMSP is a pleasant park to visit. It's a restorative environment to just catch a breath.

We have visited Lake Acworth via Cauble Park on numerous occasions and always tend to enjoy ourselves. The water is always calm and clean, on the surface at least. The lake is well maintained and surrounded by the park, woods, a neighborhood and a highway. So, always something different to look at whether you are hanging on the beach or kayaking around the water. While most of our visits are for walking and enjoying the beach, I have visited for fireworks and other community events. The lake and park hold up well. There are onsite restrooms and such as well, which make trips here a bit easier. You will find folks enjoying all things from building sandcastles to walking the pups, grilling out, fishing or just chilling. When I visit, we tend to do it all, except the fishing part. Overall, Lake Acworth is a cute spot for a chill afternoon. Low energy needed to enjoy yourself here. Keep in mind that the main access point is through Cauble Park, which for non-Acworth city residents charges by the vehicle, usually no more than $20.

Often I just drop by to enjoy a moment of serenity. However, some people are brave enough to go into the water. I personally am not that adventurous. Also available for public use are a covered pavilion for picnicking, with a roof mimicking a plane's outline, a well lit parking lot, and restroom facilities housed in a building to constructed to mirror the air traffic control tower at the airport. Spinner bowls mimic the light placement along a typical runway, as well as standard, toddler and basket swings for ADA accessibility. Finally, the state-of-the-art, aviation-themed playground is enhanced with an ICON climbing structure, offering park visitors the perfect fusion of mental & physical gameplay with the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) integrate activity center. Perhaps most notably though, is the picturesque, authentic flying machine! The installation of a restored & refurbished 1964 Beechcraft A-23 Musketeer airplane at Aviation Park is awe inspiring. Several partners contributed to making this project a reality. The plane was donated to the Alliance by Hawthorne Aviation, then restored by DLK Aviation Incorporated. Engineering, design, and installation was provided by DeNyse; other partners include Fly LBI, Priority Jet, and Brahma Marketing. The custom tail number for the plane is "N20RYY" which is consistent with industry standards for naming similar planes. The prefix, "N", stands for its country of origin which, in this case, is the United States of America. Typically followed by numbers, the number "20" was selected to commemorate the year of installation. Lastly, the final letters, "RYY", reflect the three-letter airport code for Cobb County International Airport.ye
