DO NOT RECOMMEND This service is exactly what they are trash. They canceled my service due to them being called out about how bad their service was. My trash being put out the night before because supposedly their pick up start at midnight, yet my trash was picked up at most times at 7pm the next day. This was a recommended service and yet they obviously lacking service. I applied with them in January 2025 and didnt recieved their totes until August 2025 after multiple calls. Never had a complaint until today. I had requested a removal of a 30 gallon trash can that I had used for Halloween. I have been recovering from a hospital stay and have not been able to get it out to the curb. Today they mistakenly took my 55 gallon tote that I use weekly for trash pickup. They are refusing to provide me another tote for 7 days. This poses as a health issue. I can not keep bags of trash outside without animals tearing it open. We called in July to start service. They said it would 'take a few WEEKS' to get toters and took my CC number to charge $30 start up fee. They called in august to say they needed the CC number again. Paid the $30 online. One month later, still no toters. Emailed and was told that they told us 'a few MONTHS' to get toters. Since that's not what we were originally told, I asked to be canceled and for $30 refund and was told they don't give refunds. This was false advertising and will not work with them in the future. RUN. I went to pick up my cans which BTW they do not deliver. They charge a bogus 93. fee. The incompetent staff/ office manger called the police and made it like i stole the cans, we were pulled over and i had to show proof of payment. I called when we were in the parking lot and they said nothing about coming in to the office. The girl with the whinny voice told me to just stop by and grab the cans. It took me 45 minutes to get there from our home. I was told to just pull up and grab your cans. They tell you to come anytime and just grab the cans then act like you stole them. They wouldn't let me give the can numbers over the phone and i was told i was rude !!!! The manager is a complete control FREAK.I had to drive back 25 minutes so the manager could get the numbers. TOTALLY INCOMPETANT!!!!! Ive been with TRASH TECH for years its worth the extra couple of bucks they are friendly and never would act as these "woman" did. LESSON LEARNED read more

we rented a dumpster to clean out my mother in laws house after she passed. it was a flat rate for 21 days and $100 for every week after that. when we filled the container we asked them to pick it up and replace with 2nd container. no one picks up the phone so had to leave message. it took several days until they replaced it. after 2nd container was full left them a message to remove. they didn't pick up until 3 days after the time limit so they charged us $100. when I tried disputing the charge they claimed I signed a legal document. They are a shady operation that I will never use again. there are reputable companies out there. do not use Caulers services! read more

The don't provide trash cans as they are on back order and then when you cancel they won't refund you. Customer service is the worst. The office people are rude and unapologetic. read more

Very poor Customer service!!When the loader was emptying my toter,The wheel got broken off and the axel got ripped from its holder. So I called Cauler and asked them to fix or replace the toter, The lady I spoke with, Told me that the toter would be fixed, and I said to her that I wanted it done before next pick up. She said that it would be. (My driveway is a fairly steep incline, toter with one wheel is difficult to manage taking it to pick up area) Well it wasn't fixed or replaced. So I called again and this time I was told that they do not have a toter repair person it's up to the driver's to deal with the broken toter's, And it's on a voluntary basis, If the driver has the time after their route is finished. That's when a toter might get fixed or replaced. It's going on 3 weeks and my toter is still broken. So I'm calling and canceling my service, And after reading past reviews I find out I won't get refunded for the remaining of the quarter I paid. I guess it's an easy way to make money, Get people to pay ahead for a service, then be horrible at said service so they cancel and you don't pay them back. I could wait till end of quarter to cancel but I don't want to deal with a broken toter for another 2 months. And who knows when toter might get replaced. read more

They say they recycle but I am not sure how .. when they bring the big red truck with 1 big opening and throw everything in the back at once, when I called to complain and the receptionist said no they bring in the double divider truck , I told her they don't , I work from home and the kids watch them and they don't. After I called and complain the next trash pick up what do you know they bring in the double divider truck not the big red one. This has happened 2 months 9 pick ups total this yr that I have called... but it's on going, I just get tired of calling! I am taking $3 off this quarters bill. read more

I really don't like to do this, but something needs to be done. I've called Cauler containers "customer service" numerous times . I contacted DEP a year ago. I've sent pictures to DEP. It seems no one cares or wants to follow up, or check on our issues. I appreciate that the trash pick up is on time. The problem is where is liquid leaking from their trash trucks when ever they stop for a pick up. It is running down the road , Yesterday there was a white paint type liquid following them down the street. There are a half dozen disposal companies serving our area no truck other than those leak in this way. Most recently it has been happening for 6 weeks. The workers have to see this, It is gross, smelly, and unprofessional. The streets get washed off when there a heavy rain. Come on Cauler ownership, Take some of your profits and maintain your equipment and train your help. this is not the first time and not the same truck. I Forgot to list streets...Main Street ,Elm Street, Orchard Lane, Peach Lane, There are more , Just follow their trail. read more

Poor response to messages. Have called several times for dumpster pickup and dumpster still sitting in our driveway- over a month of calls.

The one star reviews are spot on and there are many. Beware of using this company. Signed up July, waited 4 months before cans were delivered in November, told the same nonsense as other reviewers that cans were backed up and would be expedited, DISHONEST, left multiple voicemails with no response. They just blatantly ignore you. Signed up for military discount, they increased the rate for Jan(3 rd bill), then raised the rate AGAIN on a VETERAN. Recycle can was not delivered until Feb, 7 months later. I cancelled my account December 2020 and just received a PAST DUE bill for $5( the 2nd rate increase) three years later. It is disgraceful to bill an Army veteran who is 77 years old $5 after 3 years of discontinuation of inefficient service. Cauler you should be ashamed of your despicable, deceitful, and disgraceful action. The service was inefficient and the RUDE lady I spoke to on the phone should never be given the job of customer service. I hope that many potential future customers read this review and it deters them from signing with you!! read more

Moved to a new house almost 2 months ago and started service with this company. They still haven't gotten me my trash bins/recycling bins. I called in to ask when I could expect them, and they indicated they were just waiting to get new bins delivered to them, which was the reason for the delay. Then they said they actually have bins, and I could come pick them up if I wanted. So they have bins, but just aren't making time to get them to me after 2 months of paying for the service. My mother passed away 1/19/21, I immediately started the process of canceling her services. She had paid for the first quarter of 2021. When I originally contacted Cauler they said not a problem and they would send a money order for the balance of the quarter. I called February, and again in March they were sending the refund. I called again in April, money order had been sent 3/11/21. After numerous calls in May they told me that they normally don't do refunds, but in this case they were being nice. That they had sent a refund once, they were not sending another. I asked if they had proof that the money order had been cashed, and that they had even sent it to me. I was then told that they weren't discussing this any further with me that my lawyer was to contact them. This comes down to the principal of the matter. My mother was a retired widow living on a fixed budget, who paid her bills promptly, and this company feels justified on keeping her limited funds. Where the justice in that? I must tell you everyone else who owed my mother refunds did so promptly and courteously. EXCEPT CAULER CONTAINERS. Shame on them....... I certainly would not recommend this company. It asks for a star rating on them, it does not give you and option of none. So I was forced to give them 1 star. read more

We have used Cauler Container for 14 years now. They have not missed a weeks pick up during COVID. They have been late, but they have made it each week. Even if only 1 person was working. They are trying which is more than I can say for other waster haulers in the area. They also will take 1 large item per month without an extra charge. There prices are also very reasonable compared to others. Have patience during these difficult times. read more

I signed up with Cauler a month ago. They came highly recommended and Trash Tech was increasing their rates so we made the switched after I asked about their pricing and if they are planning on increasing their rates. We paid the $30 fee for the trash cans and paid for the first quarter. They missed our first pick up, not a big deal, they put a credit on our account. Three weeks later and I get a letter in the mail stating I still owe my balance, even though it came out of my account and they are increasing our rates effective 1/1/22. I get that the cost of everything is rising, but I specifically asked and you can't tell me this wasn't in the works when I asked 3 weeks ago. We also still have not received out bins. On windy days, our trash is all over our yard and our neighbors yard and they certainly don't chase after it to pick it up. I called Cauler to discuss my concerns and the rep could care less. I said I would like to cancel and that I don't want to pay the $30 fee since we never received our bins. She said she has to take it to the office manager. 2 days later, I'm still waiting for a call back. You try calling them and no one ever picks up and they don't call you back. I just left my third voicemail. We went back to Trash Tech and they were wonderful and so accommodating to our needs. read more

Several issues with this company: First, they expect to get paid for services not rendered. Second, they just started picking up our trash between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Thirdly, their recycling list is limited compared to other trash removal companies. All this comes with a heavier price tag than their competitors. When I called to cancel my service, I was given an unprofessional earful from the account manager. She went on and on defending their decision to charge me for services they never performed. Zero stars is just not an option, unfortunately. read more

Great service for the price, it disappointed me though that they had strict guide lines about recycling until I was informed by a driver that it wasn't there call but the place they take the recycle to. I thought it was bs but sure enough Lancaster counties recycle place in the city laid it all out. I still find it bs but I get their hands are tied they even said if its to mixed the place might trash their whole load if the get caught. Downside is the start time but I guess it's just bad luck with were I live, trash tech and republic hits my neighbor around the same time. read more

Would give them 0 stars if possible. They started servicing our neighborhood about 6-8 months ago and they come in the middle of the night to pick up the trash then come back a few hours later to pick up the recycling. And when I say the middle of the night, that's exactly what I mean, between 2 and 3 am. Wakes you up! I've called and complained several times and requested for the Owner to call me several times, but never receive a call back. Great quality customer service! Imagine having your trash truck come through dumping trash into their trucks and throwing trash cans around at 2 am ~ especially this time of year, when the weather is nice and the windows are open!!! read more
