Javier absolutely nailed the design I had been wanting for awhile now. He took his time and worked with me, even on the smallest of details, and never rushed the process (5 hours in just designing!). I came to Casualty last week to start the process of a half sleeve on my left arm. I can honestly say the whole experience was great and even exceeded my expectations. I was at a Tattoo convention, in Hartford. My friend and I looked at all of the amazing artwork and we felt that Causality had the best artwork there. They were very busy, but luckily, Nauana had an opening. She was so kind and sweet and she spent a lot of time getting my design just perfect. Nauana made me feel so comfortable and at ease. She did amazing work on an older tattoo, that needed to be restored, and also on my new tattoo. She worked fast and carefully. She made sure that I was comfortable and checked in on me. This is probably the WORSE experience I have ever had at a tatoo parlor. This is coming from someone who has ten tattoos. I came in to the shop to get a belly piercing and the next day my piercing was swollen worse than expected. I googled how to clean the piercing and within my research I found that their was suppose to be a space between my belly button and the actual piercing which means the piercer did NOT put a big enough bar. My belly button was so bad I had to get the piercing taken out medically after I called a few times to get it removed and or replaced. I will NEVER use this place again read more

I went to get a small word on my ring finger on Saturday and it Is already fading. Yes i know finger tattoos fade but my finger isn't even sore. The artist clearly did not go deep enough. And i paid $80 for it completely over priced. Also establishment never had me sign any form. Only positive was it was clean. Now i have to go get it touched up not even a week later. Today I had a cover up of a tattoo of my ex-husband's name. Matt Deleo did such an amazing job. I had no idea how good a cover up could be. There is no evidence of the previous tattoo and in it's place, something new and gorgeous. I cried tears of joy when I say it. I highly recommend Matt. He also did a tattoo on one of my friends which turned out amazing as well. The tattoo shop is staffed by friendly people, there is parking outside, it's super clean, very professional and they take walk ins. My experience with Causality Tattoo started as soon as I checked their website. When I saw the meaning behind the name of their company I knew this was the place I had to come for my first tattoo. I made an appointment for later in the week but found I was too excited to wait till then so I called back and asked if I could come in today (three days before my scheduled appointment. They were more than willing to have me come early if that's what I wanted! Everyone there was so nice, welcoming and most importantly, they made me feel like I was in a safe place, free of judgements. Since it was my first tattoo I was a bit nervous, but my tattoo artist Marco was so nice, comforting and had so much patience while I was deciding where exactly I wanted my tattoo. When it was over, Marco told me how to care for my tattoo and the price I paid was 100% worth it. So immensely grateful Causality is where I chose to go. I 100% recommend it. read more

I never write reviews, but felt I had to this time. I have quite a few tattoos already and know what and where i want my tattoos to go as they are all very personal to me. as they are to everyone! I Won't go back. Don't go into this place with an idea of what you would like to get done. They are not interested in what you want but what they want to do. And tell you about all their "experience". They didn't learn to work with the client in all those years I guess. it was an awful experience. a Very negative interaction. Not good. I went in to Causality looking for Matt DeLeo after seeing his awesome reviews on Yelp. I followed Matt on Instagram and saw that he has so many great reviews and I love his work. I was very disappointed to learn Matt doesn't even work at Causality. He works at Organic Ink. And to make things worse I saw his work is on a flyer for Causality when I was at utopia. I think it is pretty disappointing that your shop is using another artists work to promote business. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. This place is awesome! Javier is a master of his trade. He is very creative and talented tattoo artist. The work he did on me came out amazing, much better than i could have imagined. He is also a great person and I got along with him very well.( even treated me to a couple slices of pizza in between the session) . It was my first time here , although I have a bunch of other tattoos. Glad I came, will definitely be coming back!! We worked together on the concept for a bit , and brought that idea to reality. So I made an appointment with Matt Deleo at Causality Tattoo last week to have some touch up work done to the tattoo he did last January. Today I showed up at the appointed hour. Deleo is busy tattooing somebody else. Says "Can I help you?" I tell him I have an appointment. He says "You do? You're going to have to wait awhile I'm all booked up. What do you want to have done anyway?" I instantly recall this same scenario playing out the first time I had an appointment with him. And how I'd given him a very generous tip. I'd forgotten these things. Anyway, a few minutes later he comes into the waiting area, looks at my tattoo for a few seconds, tells me some b.s. in order to get rid of me and says to call him in a month. Well folks, that ain't gonna happen. The guy may be a decent tattoo artist but he's not very professional nor does he have any decent people skills. Caveat Emptor, I'm afraid. read more

Amaziinggg Shop! My fiancé and I found Javier Eastman through Instagram years ago and since we've been following him. So a couple of months ago we decided to schedule a appointment for the entire day on September 12th so we can both get what we wanted. We live in New Britain Connecticut and Norwalk is an hour and 15 minute ride from where we are and it was worth every second to drive there. From the minute we arrived we were greeted and treated with respect and professionalism the entire time. The shop was very clean. The other artists and piercer we're also very nice and friendly and always walked around with a smile on their face. We already had in mind what we were going to be getting tattooed on us so we gave our Ideas to Javier and he absolutely nailed it. The type of tattoo that I wanted was a little different than the normal and when I described to him what specifically I wanted he had no problem accommodating that. Javier is highly talented in all aspects of art as you can see when you walk in to the shop there's some of his paintings on the walls. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Our tattoos speak for themselves because everybody who sees them asks where we got them and we pass along the shop name! read more
