I have been tattooed at Organic Ink many times and I've never had a bad experience. It's why I (and my husband) continue to make the 1.5 hour drive to Norwalk for all my tattooing. I receive many compliments on the work I've had done here and always tell them where I got them done. I see Kyle for all my work. I trust his artistic ability and knowledge. He takes my ideas and makes them better than I could ever imagine. He takes his time placing the stencil and makes sure it flows well with the shape of your body and that it looks good where it is placed. While tattooing, he makes conversation and puts you at ease. If he's tattooing a sensitive area, he asks frequently how you're doing and if you need a minute. He treats you like family. As for the entirety of the shop, it is clean and very well maintained. The rest of the artists and crew are friendly and helpful. The artists treat each other with respect and encourage one another (it's a great vibe compared to other shops where it feels like everything is a competition). Everyone there has incredible talent and has a style that they do execptionally well. I believe their pricing is extremely fair for the quality work you receive. I think other reviewers fail to realize all that goes into a tattoo. Needles, ink, other supplies and your artists' time (drawing and tattooing) can be costly if you get quality work. Quick timeline. It's 1996, body piercing is finally mainstream. I was lucky enough to be a young adult, and I WENT for it. Industrials, septum, lip, ALL the cartilage, maybe a home DIY eyebrow (not proud). Among other things. All stainless steel. Fast forward to my late 20's, the jewelry just didn't fit my taste. I took the bulk out, excluding some sentimental pieces. But it still wasn't right. I found this particular shop based on a tattoo recommendation, which Is a different story. This is about the piercing artist I've met through being in the shop for tattoos. I had met Megan in passing, and asked if she had any ideas how to update my jewelry and help me make my piercings more current. She went above and beyond. In the past 8 months, we've added, deleted, tapered . . . all based on the jewelry she's special ordered for me. My questions are always answered, she has a gentle hand, and follows through on the healing process. The studio and artist health policies are spotless, pre and post Covid. So, long story not really short, here we are. 2020, October. I've yet to make it through a day without someone asking about my piercings and who I use as artist. Full faith in the place. I've gotten nearly ten tattoos done at Organic Ink. Each time the staff is so nice and welcoming. Very clean environment that always feels safe. I've had work done by Rebecca and Dani, who are no longer with the shop, as well as Mikki. The tattoos I've gotten done there are some of my favorites, I've got 27 tattoos in total. One tattoo done there I receive at least one complement a week on so I am constantly recommending them to people in the area! I've been to the shop for their flash days which are always great and well managed. As well as private appointments. Any reviews stating prices are too high clearly don't understand tattooing and art. Yes a "small" tattoo may be "expensive". But keep in mind you're paying for quality work by a well trained ARTIST. If you wanna beautiful and quality tattoo that's gonna be on your body for the rest of your life of course you're gonna have to pay more than $40. read more

Organic Ink is a professional and clean shop that is filled with artists who are friendly and experienced in their field. I had a couple of tattoos done by 2 different artists at another local shop in Norwalk and when they both left to join Organic Ink, I followed them there. I can't say enough about the awesome work they do and the friendly vibe that there is inside the shop. Whether you are looking for your first tattoo or adding to a collection you already have, these guys take a genuine interest in what you are looking for and have no problem drawing things up and talking over your options. I started with a small tattoo on my wrist a couple years ago. Meghan was outstanding and made sure to add a touch to make it look perfect. I referred a friend to her and went in for a bit to watch. By the end I had a session started for myself and I couldn't be happier with the product. I'm now scheduled for round two. She does outstanding work, the place is clean and has a relaxed vibe, and Jeremy is so nice and very involved interacting with the clients. Matt at Organic Ink was amazing. I was sent to him for a cover up on my hip and he did an amazing job. I had black script that I wanted gone and he designed a beautiful lotus mandala piece. He was great during the 4 hour session and knew when I really needed a break. I absolutely love the way it came out. The color on the tattoo is so soft yet it covered black ink. I came to Megan to get my nipples pierced. In addition to being incredibly punctual and welcoming, she did a phenomenal job with the actual piercings. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and worked some magic to make what could of been a really bad tattoo into an awesome piece. Wish I found him originally. Came in for a traditional rose and was in at 10:30 and out the door at 11:30 and tattoo came out really well.(tattooed by Matt).
