This place is great and it's nice to have a healthier option that is filling and tasty in an airport. The prices are reasonable too, and the portions are large and filling. This was my first time eating at a Cava, and certainly not my last. It's like the Chipotle of Mediterranean where you can pick your base (saffron basmati rice, brown rice, greens), your choice of protein, 3 dips, a dressing, and then as many toppings as you want. You can also do greens + grains bowl. Here are what you can pick from for your bowl or salad: - Dips & Spreads - The scoops are tiny (just slightly bigger than a melon scooper) and you can pick from: eggplant + red pepper dip, hummus, tzatziki, harissa, red pepper hummus, or feta. - Proteins - Falafel, chicken, lamb meatballs, braised beef, braised lamb, roasted seasonal vegetables - Toppings - I like that these are unlimited so you can really load up on all the good stuff! They include lettuce, tomato + onion salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, pita crisps, mint, feta, banana peppers, amongst other things - Dressings - Sriracha greek yogurt, lemon herb tahini, greek vinaigrette, yogurt dill, green harissa, and spicy apricot dressing. I got a greens + grains bowl with falafel, tomatoes, cucumber, tomato + onion, pita crisps, eggplant + red pepper dip, hummus, and red pepper hummus, and a lemon tahini dressing and thought it was delicious. I loved the combo of the rice + greens, and liked the dressing a lot. The falafels were just okay for me - they seemed more heavily fried than other falafel places and not super fresh out of the fryer to me. The pita chips was a wonderful addition to add some crunch. Overall, this is a great place to get food at the airport. The downside is that you have to pick your toppings and other things pretty quickly, so try to be prepared as they ask very fast and try to keep the line moving. The service seemed pretty lackluster to me and it seemed like they were getting the different bowls and orders confused with different customers. But I would definitely eat here again in DCA - it's probably one of the best and healthiest options of food in the terminal. Delish! Before today I'd never heard of Cava. I went to a location at DCA because it was near my gate, looked fresh and was not too overly priced. Hunty! That food was so good! I ate it on the plane. Usually I'm so self conscious eating on the plane (and I was inthe middle seat). That food was so great, I was very unbothered and happily scarfing down my food. Now I'm stalking Cava. Really delicious food. So tasty! $8.75 for a breakfast bowl. It's the same as a normal bowl but with a 2"x2" baked egg. My lesser star is for the sad service. Not pleasant at all. The lady at the cash register didn't look at my face at all during the transaction or smile. It's always a joy when I find delicious grub at the airport. Because let's be honest. /Airports seems like they either have 1.5 star restaurants or 4 star and higher restaurants. This fast casual little Medi place definitely deserves its high rating. The price wasn't much higher than what I would pay in downtown Chicago so I was pretty pleased. I was very excited to see a CAVA in the airport terminal right next to my gate! But I didn't get to experience it. The servers didn't speak English. Did not know which ingredient was which. I watched the first two customers in front of me painfully explain what they wanted and had to very carefully point to each ingredient, which sometimes got messed up anyway. Some of the best airport food I've ever had! Lucky that I was flying out of Terminal B. Cava Grill follows the Chipotle-style, assembly line way of food that you see so often these days. Choose your base, dips and spreads, protein and any toppings you'd like. I was a huge fan of the spreads. There aren't many restrictions in terms of what you can order - if you want more than one protein, you can always add extra. It's plenty of food no matter what you decide on. I ordered the breakfast bowl. I chose lentils as my base. Other choices were rice or potatoes. Then you get to choose a host of dips. I had hummus and a feta spread. Fresh and delicious! I thought Roti and Naf Naf Grill was amazing but Cava Grill might take the number one spot for fast casual Mediterranean cuisine.  Located in Terminal B of Reagan Airport, Cava Grill offers something different than your typical burgers and sandwiches. Instead, imagine hummus, cous cous, grilled meats, and flavorful sauces with a Greek flare. Cava has an impressive range and variety to choose from like mixed Brussels sprout salad, lentils, spiced hummus, crazy feta, roasted vegetables, and harissa. If you aren't sure what to get, just put a variety of toppings in your bowl and I'm certain that you'll like most of it. Finally open! The airport recently made a bunch of changes to the B terminal. Some good, some bad. Fortunately, opening a Cava Mezze Grill is great! I had a early flight so I got to Cava during breakfast hours. It's always interesting to see what these new Chipotle-style chains make for breakfast that generally only serve lunch and dinner. I can't say how happy I am to be able to eat a healthy and delicious breakfast at an airport. Generally, it's greasy breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and other high-glycemic foods like potatoes, hash-browns, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love that stuff but I can only eat it once in a while if I want to stay healthy and in shape. I got a breakfast bowl with a half-spinach, half-rice base. Added the grilled chicken-sausage meatballs, veggies, an egg, feta, and some yogurt-dill sauce. Everything was great and the grilled chicken-sausage meatballs are a great additional to normal menu meats. I'll probably end up grabbing breakfast here on all my morning flights. Conveniently located in the Delta terminal, this place rocks! The line can be about 10 people deep and you'll still get through in about 5-10 minutes. You get a choice a Base (I'd recommend the Salad which is all sorts of greens), a few dips and spreads (includes hummus, eggplant/red pepper, harissa, feta, red pepper hummus, and tzatziki), a protein (the chicken was tender and complemented the salad well), and a bunch of toppings. The key is to maximize your toppings because it all goes into a bowl. There are so many options with your toppings, make sure you take your time in getting everything you want in there. You can then top it off with a dressing as well. The best part is the whole operation is run efficiently (the one place things slow down is the toppings). If you know my sister, you know she is your quintessential fussy eater. This place however, makes her happy! :) Service is quick and the ingredient fresh. Love their chicken and their falafel. The fatty that I am, I always prefer the white basmati rice over the brown - love the way they cook their white rice! I also love their crazy feta and the tzatziki sauce. My favorite topping hands down is the pickled onions, and my sister loves their cucumber salad. They manage the cranky airport crowd pretty well and are usually well staffed. also like the fact that the place is pretty clean and well stocked at all times. They take all credit cards, but more than once they refused to accept my LevelUp rewards payment becuase they said their machine was not working- bummer, given that I am a complete rewards whore. Pleasantly surprised by Cava. A fairly healthy alternative while waiting for a flight. Not that there were many options in this terminal. Beat eating Mc Donald's or spending $25 for a plate of mediocre looking food in a crowded space....or a bag of chips and a twix. I don't eat at Chipotle and was wary since it's pretty much exactly the same except- Mediterranean. I'm glad I took a chance because it was surprisingly really good. I got the grains and greens bowl with organic arugula, basmati rice and black lentils. Falafel for the protein. Spicy red peppers and both red pepper and regular hummus. Topped it off with pickled onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and cauliflower quinoa. The beer was really good too. Never heard of it: DC Brau? Pleasant service. Cava always does me a solid. And I have to say that before a flight when I want something tasty, healthy, light, yet filling, which tastes good cold or hot, Cava is pretty much ideal. I really enjoy the black lentil bowl with sweet potato and crazy feta and pickled onions and tomatoes and all sorts of other veggies. It's always efficient, the line moves fast, and it's consistent. I almost can't remember how bad DCA food used to be thanks to so many of the new restaurants that have opened up recently including Cava. read more

The other was when I asked what wines they had, I was told a white or a red - when asked what wines they were, I was given a very impatient "white or red!" The hype is real. I went through TSA to terminal B, just to try their bowls and it was totally worth it (my flight was leaving terminal C). Note - there's no problem bringing your bowl through security again. I went with brown rice + supergreens, chicken, tzatziki, crazy feta, hummus, a bunch of topping and lemon tahini. Had the opportunity to dine at Cava while at the airport in DC. It was pretty early and the restaurant was just opening. The cook was hard at work preparing the proteins and everything looked delicious as it came off the hot grill. I picked the breakfast bowl. I chose potato wedges for the base and picked the chicken sausage for my meat. The egg was lightly scrambled. I added cucumber salad, pickled cabbage, olives, red hummus and topped it with some cucumber dill sauce. All the ingredients were very fresh and flavorful. The chicken sausage was tender and juicy. I ordered and the staff was not too helpful with guiding me through my options, and I asked for "all the veggies" when I got to the toppings section, and I looked away for a second and when I looked back they had covered my salad in feta! Super gross, I hate feta and it is most definitely not a "veggie." Once I had picked out the feta from my bowl and tried to eat the rest, it was just gross to me. Not exactly sure of the problem but it just tasted off. I'm sorry for writing a negative review (pretty rare for me) but it was a terrible eating experience. In this cramped terminal spot, seems to be the only fresh prep option. I have eaten here twice and only because no other option available. The food is ok, but the staff is really off-putting ; they put the smallest dollop of any item you ask. There are some topping that are limited to 3; so when I asked for a double baba; got snapped at! I told the kid I am only getting one more scoop of the other; so still 3 scoops total. Try asking for pita? Extra charge with a bowl. Not even one wedge? In total its somewhat of a ripoff and I try to avoid it; but depending on my flight time; no other option. Cava for the win! DCA is definitely my favorite airport in the D.C. area to fly out of for domestic flights, and they've done a ton of remodeling to terminal B in the last few years.
