It was slow on a Wednesday about maybe three other groups of people ( my type of scene definitely) so we sat wherever and chose a table in the corner. Inside looks like an actual cave lol it's dark and spacious a perfect setting to get fucked up. If your like my best friend and I we will have fun anywhere regardless of what's going on (natural crackhead energy) so the spot being empty didn't bother us we honestly had a blast! WelAn hour passed and we didn't receive any of our food not even appetizers! A table that came after us got their food before us So a member of our party of 5 went back to the front to complain again. The bald guy from before (not our server) came again and then proceeded to tell us that the kitchen is backed up (which no one told us before because they were toooo busy ignoring our table) he then proceeded to go back and forth with a female at our table and she lost her cool and cursed him out. He told us he was telling the kitchen to cancel our order and gave us the bill while calling security. Made a reservation on Monday April 29th for Saturday may 4th was told by the lady on the phone there was no charge for the reservation and we'd only be paying for our food when we went, she also said they would call us on Thursday to confirm the reservation. After not receiving a call from them on Thursday I called to confirm Friday, the guy who answered took down all my information again as if I didn't have a reservation and told me there would be a 2 bottle minimum (cheapest bottle is 200$) but it was the day before our reservation and we already sent out the address for everyone to meet there so we figured that wasn't too bad since there was no reservation fee. We arrived on Saturday and 3 people from our party were running late we weren't gonna make the staff wait until they came so we ordered our bottles and started with some appetizers, when our first 2 people who were running late arrived they gave one of them an issue for wearing sweat pants meanwhile there is no dress code listed on the website or anywhere for that matter, they ended up letting them in and when our last late person arrived they gave them an issue for wearing black cargo pants and said because they let the other person with sweats go in that they couldn't let the one wearing cargo pants go in. Meanwhile we had another person from our party wearing the same exact pants and they gave no issue to them, I asked to speak with the owner or manager and he told me we had 2 options send the person in sweats home and the cargo pants person can come in or if we were to get another bottle he can let him in, mind you we already spent close to $1000 in this place. The person wearing cargos travelled all the way from the other side of brooklyn taking 3 trains, when I told the owner/manager they should have their dress code listed on their website he said "We cant list every rule there" as if that isn't an important rule to let your patrons know about. we were aggravated and didn't want to leave our friend waiting outside so we decided to take our business elsewhere and I recommend everyone to do the same. We were seated by the waitress/bartender who did not know a word of English. That's okay. She was friendly. The place has a pretty cool cave-like atmosphere and decor, very dark ambience. We sat near the open large window so it let in some light. We ordered one appetizer (calamari) because we mostly came for drinks and hookah. The calamari was okay, slightly undercooked, definitely not the best I've ever had. But the hookah was great and the price was fair $25. One hookah, 2 shots and 2 mixed drinks came up to a bill of about $104. With a mandatory 20% gratituity tots was approx. $124. No problem, we know for next time. The reason I give this place 2 stars is because after we paid, the bartender returned with the check for us to sign but without my debit card. When I told her that she did not give me my card she seemed confused and said "this happens all the time when people drink, are you sure?" Yes! I'm sure! This friendly waitress quickly turned sideways. The bartender insisted it must've fallen near our table and left us to figure it out. Me and my girlfriend began looking for the card near our table but to no avail because we never got it. She misplaced our card. And on the other side of the lounge she's just standing there entertaining the cigarette smokers that sat at the bar. I guess she already got her 20% tip so who cares about us, right? After some time of looking and me calling my card company to freeze my card, she comes with my card and says "I found it on top of the fridge, this never happened before." Cave. What can i say about this place. All my friends are always wanting to go here on weekends! I'm a bar girl. I love to grab a beer and just chill and have conversation. Clubs were never my thing, but to each his own! I'd go with my friends because spending time with them was the point even if i have to spend a few minutes on the dance floor listening to edm mixes and some Russian music! Their prices are decent for beers. Cocktails of course are a little more pricey. But all in all it's a place people go to mingle and find someone to end the night with. Cave is one of my favorite spots to visit in Brooklyn to have dinner and drinks. It's best known for its nightlife but you need to give the food a try. I went to Cave on Saturday and they did not disappoint. The lemon drop Martinis are def something worth trying (maybe over and over again) and the Chicken Caesar salad,baked clams and deserts are always on point. Service is always friendly and welcoming. DO NOT COME HERE! We came here on Feb. 2 to celebrate Maryanne's birthday. It was a Saturday night. Absolutely awful service. We ordered dinner at 845 pm and were not served until 1045 pm, 2 hours later! We were told there was only one chef on duty and had to starve for 2 hours! We were not even offered any bread or chips. Then when the food finally came out, they forgot to put the ahi tuna into the ahi tuna salad! They only brought the salad with no tuna. We sent it back and were promised a brand new salad. Of course that never happened! Finally after reminding the waitresses for another 2 hours, they brought a plate of ahi tuna salad to go and packed it up in a bag. When we got home, of course the ahi tuna was missing! Again they cheated us out of the tuna. The wait staff were rude, obnoxious, and outright nasty! The music was awful and DG sucked! Yesterday I went to Cave with a friend of mine. It was not my first time there. But last night made me write a review finally. Let me be frank, it is a cool place for dancing. Music is nice, a lot of old hits, mix up of different genres. The food is good too. Hookah was done nicely and the guy checked on it constantly. What I did not like was the idiotic idea of ripping me off. Even though I do not pay, I can not stand a thought that somebody takes me or my company for fools. This happened in Cave before and it happened there again last night. So, we came around 12, the place was still half empty. We asked for the table the waitress said that none were available, my friend asked another guy, he gave us a table. The waitress came 2 minutes after and said that our check has to be at least $150, which was not a problem, even though I hate when somebody puts price restrictions on me. We made our order and all went well until the check came in. So, I assume, because we didn't make any fuss on paying $150, they decided we wont notice any extras to the bill. They added us somebody's drinks, they doubled the price of my bottle. When I asked for the menu and showed the price, the girl did not even apologize but ran to call a guy who insisted that the price was right. Why is it in the menu wrong then?! All in all we got it removed from the bill, but it spoiled my mood. It was very unpleasant to prove that I have a right to pay the price on the menu and that additional drinks were never even close to our table. Another few pointers: - There is no bathroom attendants, so no toilet paper and a mess; - People do smoke cigarettes inside; - Somebody mentioned that it is 21 and older, that is not true. I personally know at least 7 underage girls who were there on a birthday party with me couple months back. Bouncer does NOT check everybody's IDs, but only those he feels like need to be checked. - In less than 4 hours there were 3 fights. They were cleared fast and did not affect me anyhow, but still. BTW, there were fights every time I was there. I gave 3 stars because Cave has nice music, good food, and cool atmosphere. However, there are many things they should work on, and the first thing they should hire ETHICAL personal and stop the assumption that Eastern Europeans will pay any bill just because they had a drink and they are embarrassed to express the concerns. Next time this happens to me, I wont be this tolerant, I will report this place to the Better Business Bureau and make a complaint in NYC Consumer Affairs. read more

[PLEASE READ] the absolute WORST service, the food is dry, un salted, un seasoned and poorly cooked. The waitress, greeter, and manager were all nasty and under trained. The music does not cater to any other genre with the exception of Latin and Bollywood, however the Dj was very welcoming and opened to request. They force you to get bottle service and automatically take a 20% "service fee" which adds on 20 plus dollars. This has to be the best lounge I've been to thus far. First off the cave setting was such a vibe in itself. Our waiter Jenn was nothing short of AMAZING her energy made us feel so comfortable and welcomed, she made sure we were in need of nothing.
