Food is on the top tier, four season pork belly BBQ is just amazing, especially you bite down with the iceberg lettuce, then slurp a mouth full of cold noodle soup, life can't get better from this point, and the delight goes forever until you finish your meal. Oh btw, their fried chicken ribs is also god tier, forget other fried chicken places, this is the only one to go. Eating a little of everything including the marinated wagyu, the bibimbap soup and the Korean fried chicken... Not to mention the endless complimentary sides of sweet mash, kimchi, salad... Good broth. But the seafood used were hmmm one word meeeh (okok I know it's not a word) Kimchi soup and tofu soup just lacked something. Don't know what is but both didn't have much flavour.. might bring in the flavour packs from my kimchi instant noodles next time.. Clean high quality non fatting food it bit like Japanese but not as expensive. This restaurant in Springvale is as traditional as it gets and certainly worth the visit. High quality meats ordered when you have the BBQ at your table are excellent value and the staff attentive in a non intrusive way if you don't know what to do. After spotting some very content Koreans coming out of the shop smiling and laughing .. thought I'd pop in to see the menu.. lady boss and staff were very friendly .. impressed by their soup and KFC menu we decided to stay and sit in the back section. An enclosed carport :) w/ tacky retro deco. I thought it was pretty cool! Haha Onto the food.. had the kimchi soup (m) and the Soy chillie KFC (fillet). It was only the 2 of us. No way we could've done the other KFC .. portion too big. We struggled to finish the soup which was generous for $30. Great value! other places for the same would be more. Both were amazing! With the right balance of chillie saltiness and crisp and gue if u know what I mean. :) I think I've found my new KFC fav!! Next time will try the larger KFC w/ bone and just beer. The kimchi soup.
