The sales organization here is incompetent. I submitted an online contact request on www.cavenderpolaris.com. They had several Polaris Ranger UTVs in their inventory, but no specs available online. So in my request I asked questions about them.
Within minutes, I received an email from Daisy Contreras identifying herself as being with Cavender Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. She listed out several Ford Ranger pickup trucks as possibly fit what I was looking for. She sent a second email with additional Ford Ranger pickup trucks. I responded back asking if she had actually read my request. Almost immediately, she responded apologizing for the oversight and said she'd work to find the best deal possible on a Polaris Ranger. Still having not answered my questions in my original request, I wrote back and said I'd prefer to work with a Polaris salesperson. She responded that she would note that in the system and a Polaris salesperson would contact me.
At this point I'm suspecting that I'm talking with a Bot, so I asked. Are you a Bot or a real person. She responded, repeating her name and identified herself as a "Sales Assistant" at Cavender Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. Fairly convinced I'm engaging with a Bot, I waited to hear from a real person.
After over an hour I still don't hear back from anyone, so I responded back to Daisy asking if she's going to have someone contact me, and she immediately replies that she will direct me to the right salesperson to answer my questions. I decided to call and "talk" to Daisy directly. I call the Sales number and a Becky answers. I asked to talk with Daisy Contreras. Initially she asked "who?", and upon repeating her name Becky says "oh, well I work with Daisy so I can help you". I asked Becky if Daisy was a real person or a Bot. She hesitates and before she speaks I tell her to be honest, because I already know the answer. She laughs nervously and says, yes she's AI (artificial intelligence).
So I tell Becky that I submitted questions online and haven't heard back from anyone. She says she works in Sales so she can help me. She pulls up my information and confirms the info I am looking for, chucking somewhat reading through my exchange with Daisy. I told her I'm glad she found it humorous, however I didn't. Turns out Becky works in car sales, so she can't help me. She says she'll forward the info to someone in Polaris sales. And they'll contact me.
No one calls or emails. This all starts at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, so no reason for someone not to get back to me in the same day.
7:40 p.m., I get an email from Chris Olson, the Sales Manager, wanting to know if all my questions have been answered.
Go ask Daisy Chris... go ask Daisy. read more
