We were…read moreon a road trip from Houston to San Antonio and a protection plate from the underside of the car came loose, creating a seriously loud racket while driving 70 mph on the highway. The nearest mechanic was Schneider Tire and Lube. They immediately took the car, confirmed my diagnosis, put two screws into the protective plate and sent us on our way. What brought us here? Lighting! The drive from San Antonio to Houston and vice versa is so boring and at night time pretty creepy. God forbid anybody ever getting stuck on the side of the road on the way to and fro. Anyways like two bugs attracted to bright lights we made it in here to check around the car and to use the facilities. The personnel here were neither friendly nor rude. The restrooms like most that you will find at any gas station smelled like somebody smacked your face with a baby's 4 hour held urinated diaper as well as that gastly smell like using one of those blue portable outhouses, but hey, it's a typical gas station restroom. Nothing really much to write about here except thank you Highway 71 Shell for the bright lighting that reminded us that there is civilization around here.
