Bryngwenyn Farm is just as steeps writes and in a beautiful spot, I would definitely recommend its' location for a peaceful getaway with its' holiday cottages and b and b with the great advantage of the fabulous mainly organic farmshop with wonderful proper organic and freerange eggs(delicious for breakfast today). As well as doing a good shop there, we bought the aforementioned sausages, pork etc some wonderful organic vegetables, we had delicious home made cake and tea so definitely a step up from the usual supermarket venture.

It is a bit off the beaten track so we had never seen it before, but we were pleasantly surprised. The shop itself is tiny, but still seems to hold plenty of goodies. There is a freezer full of meat (including the best sausages we have ever tasted), a fridge packed with cheese, yoghurt, milk and more, another freezer with bread, icecream and frozen fruits, a fruit and vegetable section and then shelves full of everything you can think of. They even stock Ecover products so if you are looking to avoid the supermarket, this is the place to go. Their home-milled flour is well worth a try and makes delicious bread. The shop is also a cafe and is laid out with a few tables. If you are looking for something different, they sell Alpaca wool gloves and hats! The rest of the farm includes holiday cottages and animals to see as well as the flour mill. I am tempted to sign up for one of the bread making courses. It is in an idyllic spot too with gorgeous views and a posse of sheep to greet you as you make your way down the track!

I should also mention that this place is a small coffee shop, why not try a chocolate coated plum (polish delicacy) with your coffee. Staff are friendly, customers are a mix of locals & immigrant Poles, plus service is excellent too.

We saw it driving by on our little excursions hither and tither. After much squealing, Welshcake relented and we pulled in. The drive is a winding one, luckily we had an SUV. We parked, and unfortunately the tea room was closed, but the shop was open. The woman working in the shop offered me a taste of every kind of honey I bothered to ask about. Totally sugar-rushing from honey overdose, I was feeling the love and started shopping. We bought about five jars of different kinds--I've never seen so many varieties in my life! I also picked up a dozen of local-made soaps, reasonably priced at £1 a piece. This was in May, so I imagine in the summer months one could make a whole day out of visiting this place. They have a small shop selling the locally produced honey and mead and 'bee' type products. Above the shop is a small museum which explains the whole bee and honey process. There is also a small cafe. We went on a drizzly day in the school holidays so it was quite busy as everyone was trying to find something to do under cover! We enjoyed looking around the shop, the items were a little overpriced but still ok to buy as presents for people, although you would probably not want to stock up your own kitchen cupboards here. The cafe looked ok although we didn't eat there. The museum upstairs was smaller than we expected and although its full of information I think it is a bit overpriced. We paid over £15 I think (2 adults and 4 children) and were probably only their for 20 minutes! I don't think there is a lot to amuse children and you would have to have a real interest in bee and honey to want to read all the information they have - its a bit of an information overload to be honest!

Caramalised onion relish, ok, a bit on the sweet side for me, fiery tomato relish, not fiery, both a nice consistence though. So far we have tried garlic sausages which smelt really garlicky, not so much strong flavoured when cooked, they were large. The other type was with wild mushrooms, a lot smaller, I really enjoyed these. Also bought 2 of their homemade chutneys, but tried yet. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

The shop was refitted a few years ago and now it is a modern, inviting shop with a wide open doorway. In addition to raw and cooked meats they also have a fresh fish counter selling fish caught locally in Milford Haven. I sometimes pop in for a hot beef roll at lunchtime, like many people. You can always see them out with their barbeque on carnival nights and during the local food festival. Their burgers are fantastic! This butchers is at the heart of the local community as they sponsor the local youth rugby team and donate regularly to local fundraising events. A credit to Narberth.
