At the same time, my Mr. presented with an issue that was difficult to diagnose. We went to see a number of medical specialists, traveling to different states for months, without much positive outcome. We were at our wit's end and fortunately found Dr. Brody, a Naturopathic Physician with a focus on generative medicine. He sat with me for almost an hour and then met with my Husband for the same time period, extensive as compared to the 15-20 minutes an MD might spend with a client. After the interviews, specialized lab tests were ordered, the results of which he took time to review with us and answer our questions. Using the information from the interviews and the lab results, diets specific for our health were constructed and herbs, vitamins, and natural preparations prescribed. I found out that I have a sensitive immune system and low digestive enzymes which narrows down the types of foods I can safely eat to be healthy. Eating chicken or pork was challenging to my system and difficult to digest, my body using so much energy to try to, the overwork contributing to decreased wellness. Who knew? Apparently Dr. Brody. Dr. Brody advised me on how my system was the type that would be unsuccessful at Paleo and can be more on the fluffy side which explained why my attempts with that kind of diet never worked for me. He identified what was problematic for my Mr. and me. One of the lab tests ordered had singled out a deadly superbug that had been destroying my Husband's health, something all the other MD's we saw months prior did not catch.
