My new rehab place and my in house therapist for my right knee both said my left knee should have been further along AND I did more PT at home than I did at Rehab Associates. Complete waste of time. I could not recommend them at all. They just care about hurrying up, getting you in and getting you out. My half hour session consisted of 5 minutes on the bike and 5 minutes icing you down. How much therapy do you get for 20 minutes, not much.

Each therapist brought different techniques to the table and were all successful. I am currently being treated for a back/ hip condition. During this course of treatment, I seriously injured my shoulder that required surgery and will require PT. The staff seamlessly added this to my current schedule and soon, I will begin treatment for my shoulder. The office staff and Therapy staff could not be nicer, or more professional. I have tried other Rehab facilities, including Yale Orthopedics, but never got the same treatment. I give 5 stars to Center Rehab (more if it was possible). And I give a special shout-out to Dr. Blake Tobin. Her knowledge of the Healing Process and anatomy is awesome. I called about 2 weeks before I was to start and the receptionist complained to me that my doctor should have told me to call sooner as they had no openings. We agreed that I could go for my initial evaluation and consult to their Hamden facility (near the tunnel on the Merritt Parkway), and then I could do my follow up appointments in Milford. I completed online all my paper work, scheduled the initial assessment and then heard nothing. When I called them for my Milford appointments, they told me they did not have any and I would need to continue with Hamden. This is a trek from Milford and I was 2 weeks post op and unable to drive yet. Luckily, I was able to find another practice in Milford that was able to see me when I needed to begin. Not impressed.

He adjusts your treatment as you progress, and is kind and encouraging throughout the process. Tom works directly with all of his patients 1:1 rather than delegating much of the treatment to assistants, as I have experienced in other centers. Ironically, while working out at the Westport Y, I have found many others who also see Tom when physical therapy is needed. That means Saturday, Sunday... even Thanksgiving Day and the day after. Today he was closed... but still opened his door for another adjustment because today was my first day back at work... I'm a teacher. Can't sit too long, can't stand too long... certainly can't lie down. I'm not out of the woods but I'm walking, upright, and the pain is less with EVERY visit.
