With the guidance of her medical staff and the understanding & permission of the Director & Staff of Mill Landing, we moved her a few months later to the Assistant Living side. She has flourished and adjusted well to the Assistant Living Side. My Mom is not able to do all the activities because of speech limitations & understanding but is treated and helped with respect and love each day. The staff never hesitates to contact me at any time to help in any situation that comes up in her daily living.From Christie, Margaret, Danielle, Terry ...ALL THE NURSES, Aids, Food Staff & Maintenance I highly recommend this facility. Well, the neighborhood is mostly black, so I guess if you're so racist, maybe you should go to one of the suburban home (where most of the staff is minority as well). I've never had any issue aside from traffic in the neighborhood, but then I'm not the type to roll up my windows and clutch my pearls just because I'm in a diverse neighborhood. The food is also pretty good, even if it's not usually very exciting. The only thing that I might quibble with is the drivel on the communal TV a lot of the time. With elderly residents, I would think that watching TCM or old reruns of Lawrence Welk would make more sense than those 'manufactured drama' shows on cable. CSI is not a good choice for people with dementia.....
