Pool table in back, must bring quarters.

My local watering hole-- a dive bar in its truest form. Don't come in here expecting anything fancy, don't come in here with your wedding party and expect immediate service (it's not that kinda place). Usually the place is packed on the weekend nights, and it's for a good reason. They've got pool tables, a juke box, arcade games, booths, a patio you can smoke in, and most importantly: reasonably priced drinks. I like getting a beer & a bump (of whiskey) from time to time. Bar food is hit or miss: my recos are the chicken tenders, quesadilla, or loaded tator tots. They seem to love jalapeños in the kitchen; I cannot do spicy, so I ask for them on the side. Teddy, Mike, and Jason are great bartenders... I like watching how fast they work a high volume of orders. Kimmy the waitress is the sweetest, and I like Ryan and Drake at the door. Some of the staff has turned over due to COVID, but generally good people if you treat them right. Although Randy the mgr could stand to smile a little bit more, and be friendly once in a blue moon. I've never seen Lynn the owner. Regardless, I highly recommend the CC if you come in with the right mindset, and open to mingling with others.

Tried this spot out in a Saturday night - 5/5 I was very impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere! Definitely plan on going back again.

Dive bar with really good wings, I usually get the dry rub. Service was good, I got there at 5 PM and the kitchen wasn't open yet but the cook was there so they got the wings started for me right away which was awesome

Hello dive bar! It's dirty, old, and rugged. Stickers and odd pictures on the walls. They also have a few classic arcade games and two pool tables which are usually taken. The service is even divey. As in not the friendliest but who cares kind of attitude. I also mean this in a nice way and not in the bad way. That being said, it can be hard to get a drink when it's busy. And this place gets really busy, especially on the weekends. The patio out back is really cool so that's a plus, especially when it's nice out. There is a $10 minimum if using a card, so you might as well get two drinks right? Also use the bathrooms, they're tiny, cramped and have all the reading material you need on the stalls!

How have I never been here before?!?! Small hole in the wall bars are my life. Good drinks, good customer service, good people watching. Uneven floors, not updated, not fancy, just strong drink and good times. CC Club, if I did not live in the gosh darn suburbs you'd see my ugly mug more. Go there and have a Long Island for me.

Huh who would of been able too walk into a place after two maybe three months and be remembered; yep THE CC CLUB The hospitality is phenomenal, you have to check the outside patio

I used to be more forgiving to the CC Club. If I'm being objective about it though, there are more reasons not to go to the CC Club than to go. And I should preface this with the fact that I am a dive bar person. Here's why you might go to the CC Club: your friends are all there already or you like the drink-of-the-month special. They discount one thing each month and I believe the specials run until 11 p.m., even on weekends. Sometimes it's good (pitchers of Crispin, which they don't have on tap anymore). Sometimes it's not that good (pitchers of Coors). They have plenty of bar games like a pool table, darts and a Family Guy pinball machine. I can dig that. The vibe of this dive is hipster to the millionth power. I don't really feel positively or negatively about that, but it is what it is. The patio can be a nice place to spend an evening if it's not too smoky. It usually is smoky. The kicker though: service is downright terrible nearly all the time. There's one bartender that is the saving grace, but almost everyone else is slow and/or salty. Cheer up, guys.

Luckily, there were only two people ahead of us, and we waited about 6-10 minutes. If you visit during peak hours, I'd definitely expect a longer wait. The menu is refreshingly simple Jucy Lucys, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, fries, and not much else. I ordered the original Jucy Lucy with pickles and onions, and we shared a basket of fries. It was a true no frills experience, and I can appreciate the significance of keeping things simple. Matt's embraces that hometown diner feel: burgers wrapped in paper instead of plates, drinks served cold & bottled instead of over ice, cash only (there's an ATM inside with a $2 fee), and a nostalgic atmosphere that feels uniquely Minnesota. The staff deserves recognition. Our waitress was friendly and patient, and it was clear everyone, from the bartender to the cook, was working incredibly hard to keep things moving. Their teamwork definitely didn't go unnoticed. As for the burger, I personally didn't think it was the best Jucy Lucy I've had, but taste is subjective, and I completely understand why it's considered a Minnesota staple. More than anything, I'm glad I finally crossed Matt's off my Minnesota foodie bucket list. As a proud Minnesotan, it's one of those iconic spots that's worth experiencing at least once.

We grabbed a seat on the patio since the weather was nice, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Service was quick, and our food arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the Sandy Signature Burger with fries. The burger had great flavor, the onions were cooked perfectly, and the cheese was melted just right. The bun held together well from start to finish, which is always a plus. At only $9 for the burger and $13.75 with fries, it felt like an excellent value and was the perfect amount of food. My wife ordered the Sandy Sizzler with tots, and here's what she had to say: "This burger was juicy and flavorful. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the beef without overpowering it. The jalapeños added the perfect amount of heat, while the chipotle mayo brought a smoky, creamy kick that tied everything together beautifully. The crispy tots were the perfect side--golden, crunchy, and cooked well. While the portion wasn't huge, it was just the right amount to complement the burger without leaving you overly full." Overall, we were pleasantly surprised. Good food, friendly service, fair prices, and a relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely stop back if in the area.

A Study in Patience and Poultry: The Unhurried Charm of Cedar Inn…read more Tucked away on Cedar Street just outside the bustling Minneapolis perimeter, the Cedar Inn operates on a frequency entirely its own. It is an unapologetic local haunt, a room thoroughly saturated with what one might politely call "character." To cross its threshold is to accept a fundamental renegotiation of time: one must abandon any sense of urgency, as the kitchen operates with a deliberate, unhurried pacing that turns a quick bite into an extended residency. Fortunately, the establishment provides ample diversion for the wait. The space is a veritable playground of local wagering, boasting an array of gambling options that keep the atmosphere charged and the patrons thoroughly entertained while the culinary gears slowly turn. When the food does arrive, the results are largely triumphant. An order of twelve wings, efficiently partitioned among a trio of diners, proved to be the exact mathematical ideal for a shared appetizer. More importantly, they were a genuine culinary delight--crisp, well-sauced, and deeply satisfying. The supporting cast of sides was equally formidable; both the onion rings and the French fries achieved a flawless, golden perfection that many loftier kitchens struggle to master. The experience is not without its rustic quirks, of course. The beverage program is staunchly utilitarian, dispensing sodas strictly by the aluminum can. And while the fryer was clearly working magic on the potatoes and onions, the fried mushrooms suffered a tragic loss of thermal momentum, arriving at the table regrettably cold. "A good local pub has much in common with a church, except that a pub is warmer, and there's more conversation." -- Bill Vaughan Despite the sluggish tempo and the minor misstep with the mushrooms, the Cedar Inn remains a fundamentally great local spot. It is an establishment that knows exactly what it is, requiring only that you adjust your watch to its rhythm. I will certainly be returning--if only to surrender to the pacing once more and investigate the promised draw of their Tuesday tacos.
