Ed provided a free estimate and by far had the best price. His crew worked incredibly hard, did the most outstanding work we've ever seen, and cleaned up beautifully. We are extreme perfectionists, and can't believe how picture perfect straight every side of this fence is. Shadow box fences require a little more skill and Ed's team knocked it out of the park! The gates are reinforced with larger posts as they should be, and are expertly built. We had a fence done a few years ago at another home by one of Ed's larger well-known competitors, and it was a hot mess from day 1. Missing nails, wonky posts, wavy overall fence lines, horribly weak and warped gates, inferior wood slats here and there, etc. etc. etc., and then just excuse after excuse from the owner about the poor quality of work. Just because you've heard of a company doesn't mean they're going to do quality work. We discovered Need A Fence walking through our old neighborhood last year. We had never heard of them, but stopped to look at the work they were doing at that house. We were impressed, and took a picture of the sign, which is how we ended up using them at our new house. Couldn't be happier. Ed was able to get going right away on our fence. Literally installed within two weeks of the estimate. Of course, the cooperation of the weather helped a little, too. Rest assured his crew won't use inferior wood slats. If they come across one in the stack, they refuse to use it. That resulted in a beautiful, high-quality fence for us. Instead of finishing the job, Quincey Barrett ripped out the old doors, left the home in shambles, and vanished with the money. The house is now in a far worse state than when it started--it is unsecured, unfinished, and $25,000 has been stolen. This is not a "bad contractor" experience; this is professional fraud and property abandonment. URGENT CALL TO ACTION: If you have also been a victim of Quincey Barrett, do not wait. Go to your local police station and file a report for construction fraud and theft by deception. We are working with the authorities to ensure there is a paper trail for this criminal behavior. You should also report them to the State Licensing Board immediately. Save your family the trauma and the money--stay as far away from Quincey Barrett as possible.

Recent reviews accurately reflect the fraudulent conduct of CPR. The company, owned and operated by Quincy Barrett (CEO) and Brandy Barrett (CFO), misrepresents services and caused us and other clients to lose thousands of dollars. CPR engages in repeated deception, creating a pattern of inconsistent and false statements. Communication is routinely delayed or nonexistent. Quincy Barrett goes silent for days and weeks at a time when updates are requested regarding the contracted project. Signed contracts are breached, and "lifetime warranties" become void when Quincy Barrett fails to meet contractual obligations. Quincy leaves before projects are completed or even begun. The project that was said would take two weeks to be completed did not even begin until 5 months later. The funniest yet is that the project remains unfinished one year and one day after the contract was signed on 12/12/24. CPR provides proof of current insurance coverage and then knowingly cancels the policy prior to the start of the project. When asked about insurance coverage for multiple property damages and a homeowner's bodily injury caused by materials left in the yard, CPR provided evasive responses and no resolution. The homeowner is instructed to cover the damages out of pocket with the promise of reimbursement, RIGHT... Documented damages include the central AC unit, windows and screens, security cameras, all landscape lighting, and most of the landscaping. Quincy Barrett pressures homeowners to authorize loan disbursements using false statements. When contacted by the loan company, he falsely stated that only one piece of siding remained to be installed for completion. CPR abandons a gutter, roofing, and siding project in an unfinished and unsafe condition, compromising the integrity of the home. The most documented deficiencies include gutters installed incorrectly, large sections of siding not installed, siding was installed on half of the porch ceiling instead of soffit, missing water barriers on exposed areas, no insulation in open sections of the home, an unfinished roof, multiple electrical outlets left exposed to the elements, and open gaps in the siding that have allowed vermin enter a previously sealed home now. Due to Quincy Barrett's failure to properly oversee the project in his role as project manager, custom window framing was not installed and may not have even been ordered. Security camera footage showed Quincy Barrett personally managing approximately one hour of the exterior project, which consisted primarily of walking the property and unloading supplies. A refund for the nonexistent custom window framing was eventually issued. However, CPR initially failed to provide the refund due to insufficient funds from the company account. Quincy Barrett claims the account was impacted by fraud. The refund was ultimately issued only after a cashier's check was demanded. Following the submission of the first review, and only review until today, 12/13/25, a 2:00 AM text message was received containing a screenshot of the review and a threatening message. The nature of the threat, whether physical or legal, is unclear. A request for clarification received no response. Responses provided by CPR now will consistently satisfy their claims, regardless of factual documentation. The conduct of Quincy and Brandy Barrett demonstrates a pattern of misrepresentation, nonperformance, and intimidation.

I contacted Onsight Construction on the referral of two friends and after viewing some of his work online... 10/6 Thursday - called and left mssg re: job estimate. Voicemail said "your call is important to me...I will return it no later than end of business the following day" I0/11 Tuesday - Five days later, Owner Matt M called and said his phone was having problems and he got a huge dump of messages (including mine) the night before. Not happy with such a late response, but scheduled for estimate on Thursday two days later anyway 10/13 Thursday - Matt comes out and in 15 mins reviews the three jobs suggesting they're an easy fix, offers some alternative ideas, takes my email and says "Give me a day or two and I'll email you an estimate" 10/18 Tuesday - Five days later I still haven't heard from Matt so I call asking about the estimate 10/21 Friday - Two days more and still nothing so I call again and leave my name and email awaiting a response 10/27 Thursday - Six more days and still nothing so I leave a message asking for anyone to return my call, hoping somebody would abide by the "return your call by end of business the following day" mantra 10/28 Friday - In a last ditch effort I attempted contact through email on their company website noting that I understand scheduling the work may be a negotiable time frame based on the jobs they already may have booked, but all I wanted was acknowledgement and an opportunity to accept/decline their work (i.e. A return call to discuss options) To this date, three weeks later - nothing.
